So there I was, keeping guard of the mouse in the shoe when my human finds me. i was expecting praise, a stroke and maybe some meaty treat for my efforts. But, no. He picks up the shoe, the mouse falls out, and he goes nuts. Screaming and shouting and coming over all pale. Once he’d straightened himself out, he does the craziest thing I’ve ever seen: He ushered the mouse back into the shoe, tossed it outside, and let the thing escape. I know what you’re thinking and I was livid too. A mouse in it’s prime, and he just let it go. Boy, the fun I could have had with that….
