Worked on a instance water heater today at Half corked wine and imported beer, nice place.
I called the manufacture about the bad circuit board in the heater and it was still under warranty, got the new one in two days,
we had hot water at just shipping cost and labor. The reason for the post are Greener Gainesville with instance water heaters and I felt the presents of all the old book at mikes book store when i was a child, this was a favorite place for a lot of the family I can still remember the smell of the cigars and paper.

Despite the hot weather, we had a good month again at Alford's Affordable. This month our coolest installation was mounting a dual fridge/freezer unit and custom brackets for said unit on a converted insulated semi trailer. It was for a personal meat storage walk-in freezer/refrigerator combination in Gilchrist County. Would write more, but we're keeping busy!

Check out this great Black Drum I caught! That's almost 60 lbs. of fish!!

I had a great time fishing with my buddy Dave this weekend. We have been planning this trip for quite some time. I hadn't been out on the water in too long. My own boat hasn't seen the water since *who knows when*.

And for those of you concerned, we released the fish.

Warranty repairs

Today, we had a warranty call on a toilet flapper. While we do claim we do professional installations, we can't guarantee a 3rd party product will perform like it should, every time, because we aren't always the manufacturer! However, we still honor our one year warranty, given to all customers for our services, installations, and products!
We responded immediately to the call, and fixed the leaking toilet right away. Water leaks are a big concern for Alford's Affordable, because we want to maintain a completely green Gainesville. So, please call us if you have any plumbing issues, warrantied or not, we want to hear about it!

Alford Electric was originally my Father's company back in 1972. We worked after school alongside our father (all my brothers are now qualified electricians) for many years. My father's business even bought me my first truck!

About one month ago, we received a call from a woman suffering from a high utility bill. She had a big leak in her A/C underneath her home- the qualified installer simply hung the A/C duct work by the insulation, leaving a WIDE OPEN gap underneath her home. Her utility bill was probably cut in half! It feels good to help a customer save money and the environment.

Hey!

It's Stephen Alford again. I've decided to go ahead and start posting updates about my work. So far this week I have hooked up a dishwasher, explained to another customer that he should buy a portable dishwasher instead of cutting into his counter, and replaced some ballasts and bulbs for the 1500W tennis court lights.

It's funny- some customers just think all small business handyman companies are just there to run up a bill. Not so with Alford's Affordable Services. We take the time and patience with our customers to sometimes even convince them they don't want, or need, our services at all- take that portable dishwasher for example. That was easily a day's work we could have billed that customer, if only we had said "Yes sir, we can install that dishwasher, cut in your cabinetry, install new plumbing lines right away." But it isn't about just getting work- it's about customer satisfaction.
