Japanese artist Haroshi creates unique full-scale, three-dimensional sculptures with used skateboard decks. To make a sculpture out of a thin skateboard deck, this self-taught artist arranges many layers. Skateboards may seem like they're all in the same shape. But skate decks are already processed products, unlike flat pieces of wood from tree; in addition the skateboard's structure varies according to the factory, brand, and popular skaters' signature models. Its here his expertise and vast experience plays an important role to choose and differentiate from thousands of used deck stocks and use thats needed to create these delicately distinctive pattern sculptures.
