Miss Zoie is a Senior at Garden Spot! At first Zoie seems shy and quiet but before long, she's talking up a storm. She has the biggest smile:)

Zoie has one of the most eclectic
personalities I've seen in a young woman. Her hobbies include gymnastics, archery hunting, and reading. She's super involved in her youth group too!

It's amazing to watch Zoie's face light up when she talks about the missions trips she's been on and how they've impacted her life.

It's clear to me that Zoie has a heart for serving children and young people. She's eager to volunteer in her church nursery and she really enjoys leading a small group of middle school girls for her youth group. When she told me about her missions trip, she spoke mostly of her time with the kids!

This girl is happy to share how much her family, her friends, and her faith mean to her.

Zoie you are beautiful both inside and out. Blessings to you as you continue to serve God by loving others! Have a great senior year!

I've grown to love senior sessions. It's so fun to spend time with young men and women who are on the verge of a huge life change! I love to talk with them about what they are looking forward to most about their senior year and what makes them most apprehensive about graduating.

I always get a little misty eyed when I talk to the mothers to plan the session. Without fail, every mom says something to the effect of "I can't believe they're graduating" or "It all happened so fast". It nearly takes my breath away every time. My little 5 pound bundle of newborn is in her final year of elementary school. Like all of the mothers I've worked with, I am wondering where the time has gone and what the future holds my baby.

I can say with great enthusiasm though, I am so blessed and proud to have this young lady as an example for my girls! If they get through adolescence with as much grace and confidence as she, I will be truly thankful.

Meet Lauren!!

Lauren would describe herself as very independant, and friendly. She's a little shy at first, but once you get to know her, she's very loud! Besides working hard (the girls got more then one job!)she spends her time playing lacrose, being active in youth group and she loves spending time with friends and family.

A huge fan of fashion, Lauren has an eye for style and she knows what she likes. Part of her style is her easy, laid back, curly hair. It fits her laid back personality perfectly.

After a little while in the city, we headed out of town to a more rustic local!

Lauren you are beautiful both inside and out! I can't wait to see all of the exciting things you've got ahead of you. Continue to follow your heart, follow your dreams, and trust in the Lord to guide both! Have a fantastic senior year!

A sweet, new, little man!!

He's finally arrived!!! Maybe he came just a little later then planned but he was well worth the wait! Jackson is so stinkin handsome! His parents couldn't be prouder.

Daddy is a baseball player and a big Philly fan....so he was happy to sacrifice his glove for a couple of shots! Needless to say, his boy obliged him with a little "gift" in his glove!!! It was worth it though!

Enjoy your precious boy!!! I can honestly say, your family just beaming with excitement and joy. It's awesome to see! I can't wait to watch you all grow!

Goofy and caring is how Emily's friends would describe her. I think that fits her perfectly! She is smart, friendly, and eager to help others. In fact, if she could go anywhere in the world, she'd like to go somewhere in Africa to help in an underdeveloped country. Emily hopes to combined her love for helping others with her love for athletics and physical fitness. She would like to pursue an education in physical therapy after high school. In addition to her love of softball, she enjoys color guard and orchestra!

Meet Sarah! She is the first of my senior reps from CV highschool! Sarah's creativity was apparent the first time I met her. Not only does she have a great sense of style, she's very interested in all things art and crafts! Her loves are acrylic paints and pencil sketches, but she's also a musician. Her interest in theater makes her a wonderful senior rep! She's a natural in front of the camera! We had so much fun trudging through woods and pastures. I think we found the perfect spots to bring out her personality.

Waiting for Baby

Meet Adam, Danielle, and Newton. They are waiting anxiously for the arrival of the newest Burns! I'm honored that they asked me to capture this exciting time of anticipation for them. First we started by taking a peak in the very stylish nursery! No giveaways about the gender here! There's a "going home" outfit for either gender already hanging on the mirror!

Love this book!!! The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins...Adam's Grandfather would read this book to him when he was a child and it quickly became a family favorite for Adam and his siblings. Adam is looking forward to sharing this classic with his little one:)

Who can resist those eyes......Newton will be a wonderful playmate and guardian for the new addition.

Adam is by nature a bit silly and always looking for a way to make the people around him smile! Danielle is by nature usually wearing a smile....they are a perfect pair! Their easy affection and sense of humor will come in handy as they navigate this new chapter called "parenthood"

It took some convincing, but we finally got Danielle to share a little belly:) If I looked this adorable when I was pregnant, I would have been showing everyone my belly!!!

Congratulations guys!!! Praying blessings over you as you enjoy these last few weeks and make final preparations to welcome "Baby Burns" I can not wait to meet him or her and to watch you guys continue to honor God in your marriage and as you parent.

A Special Delivery

My Little Sunshine

Newborns are my favorite!! I love tiny fingers and toes, pouty, little mouths, and wrinkled, little arms and legs! It's absolutely amazing to me that I get to capture someone so small, someone who is brand new. I can't help but wonder what each tiny one will be like as they grow.

This time I had the priveledge of capturing baby Evelyn Juliet, who was perfectly precious the entire session!

It always makes my job easy when I get to work with a family that is playful, and fun. With three busy boys, this family has no choice but to be playful and fun. This gang LOVES football, so it wouldn't be a complete story about them without a little action on the field. Our session was full of motion, silly faces, some wet willies, and a tackle or two. The boys were so much fun to work with! It was clear to see that in midst of all the moving and sillyness, this family has a whole lot of love for each other. Dressed in the colors of winter and Christmas, this gang came ready to create a wonderful Christmas Card image on an unseasonably warm October day! With 5 children, including TWO almost two year olds, that's no small job! Fortunately for me, these parents are no strangers to hard work and trusting for wonderful in the midst of chaos. I think we did pretty well!! Thanks a bunch guys, I love that you're my faithful clients, but I love that you're my family much, much more:)

So I'd hoped to post daily:) I have been busy creating beautiful images though! A mild autumn day calls for family portraits!!
Three adorable children make a photographer's work easy. All we have to do is ignore the airplanes, cars, trains, and trucks that seemed to be all around us. These images were created at Petersheim's Quilt Shop on Rt. 340 in Bird in Hand. If you ever get the chance, stop in and take a look at the wonderful quilts, and their beautiful property!

One of my favorite things about weddings is the cuteness of the flower girl and ring bearer. They are usual much to young for the job they are charged with but no one really expects them to perform to perfection, in fact, sometimes the worse they perform the cuter they are! I wasn't able to see my little niece and nephew do their thing in early October, but I was fortunate enough to photograph them in their adorable attire after the fact. I think they may have performed better at the wedding then they did for our "photo shoot", BUT we got a couple of cute ones:)

A Lovely Autumn Afternoon!

I got to spend a wonderful, autumn afternoon with a family that I enjoy so much. I have known my sister-in-law for as long as I can remember. She and I grew up in the same church family so I've known her parents and sister for as long as I can remember too:) In fact, Julie is the whole reason why my husband got the second date. When I found out who his brother was, I couldn't resist!
Now we're sister-in-laws and I feel so blessed to have her. When things get just a little to serious, I can count on Julie to understand my frustrations and appreciate my sillyness. Now I know why, her family is as kind, and silly as she is!
I had a blast spending time with all of you. Thank you so much for inviting me to capture images of your family.

Yes this is what it looks like!!! When I jokingly said, "wouldn't it be funny for you to go act like two teenagers in the porto-pot over there", they said, "sure let's do it"! See, they get my goofy:)

A bunch of love

     Before I ever met Dawn, Tim, and their beautiful family, I'd heard lots of stories about them. It seemed that we knew many of the same people and often I'd hear about how their family was growing or changing. So when I finally did meet this wonderful family, I felt like I already knew them. That was probably six years ago now, and all the great things I'd been told about this unique family were absolutely true!
   They are quite a group!! Tim and Dawn are super organized, super patient, and super blessed. They make having this many children (and homeschooling them) look like a piece of cake, but of course it's not. This family was built by the grace of God! Lots of prayers, lots of miracles, and lots of love and laughs along the way.
   Tim, Dawn, and kids.....I love that I've gotten to know you guys. My family has been blessed by yours. Thanks so much for allowing me to try to capture a little of your love with my camera.
