"In the depths of the eye of terror, on those worlds bound in blood, demon and machine have become fused, cohabiting the same metal shell. So after a long Hiatus of posting, I decided to post the finished Khornate Obliterators (actually a few rivets fell off, that I have to put back) The conversions definitely took a lot longer than I thought they were going to, but I am pretty happy with how they turned out. And a few close up detail shots A big shout out to GSI and the

So it has been awhile since I have posted anything, but have recently gotten back into some more serious modeling with the release of the newest Chaos Codex. I decided to do a conversion that I have wanted to do for awhile, Khornate Obliterators! I was originally inspired by Warhammer In Progress's nurgle obliterators, and wanted to do something equally unique for my own. It took me awhile to

So I have not posted in quite awhile due to the unholy triforce of family issues, work, and the wife deciding to rearrange the whole house (including my painting room/office). Anyway, I have been meaning to get this guy up here for awhile, I ended up re-sculpting his head from what I had posted earlier, and although not completely happy with it, I think it turned out better than I thought. I

Here are some sketches that I have been working on for my second Landraider. I want it to be a main focal point for the army, and to match up in awesomeness with the first.I am thinking of really stressing the demonically possessed idea. I think a Bloodthirster torso would be the right size, but I am also thinking I might want to look at some third party mini's too, in order to give it a little

Well, despite a growing addiction playing League of Legends online, I have managed to get some work done on the Slaanesh demon prince, the quite a bit modeled on the second berzerker squad and a bit done up on my second land raider. Without further adeiu, here are the pics, First up, excited that he no longer has to walk everywhere like everyone else is the Slaanesh demon prince: Following

So here are a few updates of some of the stuff I have been working on, First up is the World Eaters Landraider, some of you may remember it from the WIP pics that I have posted Before. It is finally getting some paint, Btw, this is my first model that I really did with an airbrush (the red), and I must say that even with a crappy airfed single action, it is AWESOME. As far as painting red

I meant to add this to my last post, but it must have slipped my mind. The conversion that I did for Kharn was adapted from Tim Davis's Kharn conversion that he did quite a while ago. If you want to check out his the gallery is here: http://www.the-vanus-temple.com/?page_id=1695 I used a different custom chainaxe and a different helmet, but I love his original probably more than mine, so check

So I got the rest of my berzerkers done for this first squad, so without further adieu, here they are: First up is the finished mutant Next is a berzerker with yet another wooden shield, what can I Say, Khorne knows defense. Next is the second Mr. Skulls, Now its the second running marine, No its time for one of my Favorite, the Beast, Finally, Semi-Permanent Leader for the Squad,

Well, I actually have been doing some modelling recently, especially getting some stuff painted. Here is a few of the things that I have been working on recently.... Just as a note these are the first pictures of miniatures that I have taken with my new camera and tripod...I'm thinking I love it, the only editing that I did was adding the watermark, not even resizing or cropping....

Tylermenzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12120740590610802592noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063024347290729034.post-16323166646813977482011-09-26T14:58:00.000-07:002011-09-26T14:58:38.263-07:00

In an effort to post a little bit more regularly, and keep myself on track, I decided to post some WIP of a few of the things that I have been working on Cthuhlu Base: I just kinda did that in an hour last night on a whim, And an Ork Mek that I have been working on for my brother: What'cha think?

Tylermenzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12120740590610802592noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063024347290729034.post-72638465945826741752011-09-17T17:22:00.000-07:002011-09-17T17:22:40.923-07:00

So here is the painted and based Son of R'lyeh, I tried to push myself quite a bit on this miniature, trying both a lot of shading as well as some battle damage on the armor. I also tried water effects which I messed up twice before I started to get the hang of it. So without further ado, here he is: So what do you guys think? These pics were just taken with my phone, hopefully I will get some

So here are some WIP pics of a World Eaters Land Raider that I have been working on. I am going to have two Land Raiders in my list, and I wanted them to be pretty unique, thus on this one I decided to do kind of a cauldron of khorne type of thing. I am going to fill the cauldron with clear red resin to simulate blood, as well as put a skeleton and some skulls in it. Let me know what you guys

So this is an idea for a CSM Chapter that I have been toying with for awhile. I love the H.P Lovecraft Cthulhu Mythos, and have read just about everything Lovecraft has written. I wanted to do something a little different than the normal tyranid cthulhu guys. The Sons of R'lyeh Background: It is believed by Imperial Inquisitors that the Sons of R'lyeh Chapter are an off shoot of the

So recently I had to take some pictures for a contest over at ThroneofSkulls.com of a WIP Angron model that I have been working on. Now taking good pictures is something that I always find difficult, and have never really mastered. Taking that into account, and the fact that I don't/didn't have a tripod, light box, or sunlight (At the time) the pictures came out pretty badly. Fast forward a

So I signed up for a White dwarf subscription awhile back and got my first issue today, the Newest White Dwarf featuring a lot of stuff about the new Warhammer fantasy expansion Storm of Magic. Quick note, if you don't like reading, you can just pick out the red and bolded print to get the highlights. (Warhammer) New Release Section  7 out of 10, most of the stuff isn't too new, but there

So for those of you that don't know, Fantasy Flight just came out with the first expansion for the board game Chaos in the old world. THE ORIGIONAL Just so that everyone is on the same page, the original Chaos in the Old World places each player in control of one of the four main Chaos Gods. Players then set about corrupting the different regions of the old world using cultists, warriors,

So looked at the forgeworld news letter today and saw these three items that made me pretty happy:First up,XV-9 With fusion Cascades"Mounting cutting-edge fusion gun variants that can be used with the high-tech systems of the XV-9. An Audio Book ReviewThis is a review about Raven's Flight, the recent Horus Heresy Audio book by Gav Thorpe. Origionally I wasn't even going to get the audio book as I like reading, but I figured I would since it was Horus heresy and it would give me something to listen to in between classes out at college. For those that know nothing, the book is about the fight on Isstvan V after the Raven Guard

So I just go done with the last book of the Horus Heresy and figured that I would write up a quick review. A lot of people were upset when it was announced that Graham McNiell would be covering the Thousand sons side of the heresy, saying that his writing style would be unable to show the complexity of the Thousand sons. In a way I would say that they were right, but also that they were

So I know that a lot of people have pretty much given up on white dwarf, but I haven't yet, and probably wont. Even in the face of more advertisements and such and the removal of some rules and such, I still think that there are some good things coming out of the monthly magazine. The GoodPage 13, Black Library While technically a type of ad, its one that I am ok with.
