Step 1: Download the latest version of Pangu downloads page
Step 2: Plug your iOS 7.1.x device in to your computer’s USB port
Step 3: Run Pangu_v1.0.exe on your Windows machine. If you see weird characters, it may be due to Windows not displaying the Chinese character-set correctly. Simply follow along in our video above to see what we mean.
Step 4: Make sure the checkbox is unchecked, and click the Start Jailbreak button.
Step 5: Pangu will ask you to go to Settings > General > Date & Time and disable the Set Automatically toggle. You will then need to set the date to June 2, 2014.
Step 6: The jailbreak process will start. Eventually you will see the Pangu app icon on the Home screen. Tap the Pangu icon to launch the Pangu app.
Step 7: Wait patiently, and the jailbreak will process. The video tutorial is sped up, the whole process takes about 10-15 minutes, so be patient.
Step 8: Once the jailbreak is completed, you should see a “enjoy your new jailbreak message”. Unlock your device, and you should see Cydia on the Home screen.
Congratulations. You now have an untethered jailbreak on iOS 7.1.x. Pangu should automatically set your date setting in Settings > General > Date & Time back to Set Automatically.

rm -R Setup.app

If that does not work, type set and hit the tab button, it should auto complete.
Step 10: Now delete setup.app.
Step 11: Hold the power and home button to reset the phone.
Step 12: When the iPhone is turned on, it will show it in recovery mode. It is fine, don’t need to panick.
Step 13: Download TinyUmbrella and run it.

Step 14: Exit from the recovery mode using TinyUmbrella.

Step 15: Your iPhone should boot up properly now.

How To Take Apart the iPhone 4S

Supplies you will need:

Small Phillips screwdriver
Small Flat head screwdriver
Case opener tool
Pentalobe screwdriver (this is a 5 pointed star - newer iPhones have this instead of the standard Phillips)

I also recommend having a nice clean and clear work space. It's a good idea to lay the screws and parts out as you pull them to keep them in order and make sure you don't forget or lose anything when putting the phone back together.

Please remember before doing any work on the phone to power it off and pop the SIM tray out of the phone!

Now to start work on the phone itself. First thing you will need to do is take out the two small screws at the bottom of the phone. They are on both sides of the dock connector. This is the only point where you will need to use the pentalobe screwdriver.

Next there are two screws (where it is highlighted in blue) that need to be taken out. This will allow you to pop out the battery connector. The battery pops out by pulling up on the left side of the connector. There is a small piece convering the antenna so make sure not to lose that as well.

Now that you have popped the connector pull up on the clear tab to take the battery out. Its a good idea to use a pry opener tools to help pull and pry the battery out. If the battery bends no worries they are made to do that .

With the battery removed we can now disconnect the dock connector. There are two screws holding it in place. It's also a good idea to pop up the antenna from the board as well!

Once done with that remove the other 3 screws shown highlighted in red! The one in the bottom corner will require a flat head screw driver.

Now lets move up the phone and take the protective shield off. There are 4 screws holding it in place. Once all 4 screws are out pry up on the shield and wiggle it out gently.

Now lift up on the cables there will be 5 in all and pop out the camera! There are now 2 screw the need to come out. The one on the lift is hidden with some black tape and is sorta hidden the other is covering the last ribbon cable. Remove the screws along with both screws.

There is now just one more screw left before you can pull the logic board. Once again you will need to use the flat head to remove this one.

Once that screw is out lift up on the logic board and it should pop right out. ( Make sure you took the sim tray out first )

Now that the board is out pry the vibrator up. I find using a flat blade box knife and sliding it underneath the motor works best. There is also one last screw that needs to be taken out to remove the dock!

Now for the fun part taking out the 4 corner screws and the 6 with washers side screws. ( 10 Screws in all) Once you get them removed we can pop the front screen off!

Please remember before doing any work on the phone to power it off and pop the SIM tray out of the phone!

First thing first, just like on the last 2 versions of the iPhone the 4 and 4S we are going to start with the bottom and remove the 2 small pentalobe screws located there.

Next we are going to grab are small suction cup and place it on the bottom half of the screen just above the home button. Now this is parts in a little dangerous so be EXTREMELY careful. What you want to do is lift the screen up while holding the back of the phone in the other hand and pull the screen toward you. You are wanting just enough of a gap to place your case opener tool under the screen. Once you get you tool under the screen work both sides gently till the screen releases.

Now that you have the screen popped up there are 3 small screws holding a small shield that covers the flex ribbons you will need to remove the phillips screws and the shield. Once the shield is off with the case opener tool (or finger nail) release the 3 ribbons holding the screen to the logic board.

Before I go on a lot of people will probably say you need to release the battery connector before removing the screen. If you powered off the device off first this isn't exactly necessary and secondly trying to remove the battery before the screen is extremely hard to to without ruining something inside the phone….

Now we are going to remove the battery from the housing. First thing you will need to do is remove 3 phillips small screws holding 2 shields blocking you from releasing the battery connector. Remove the screws and shield and with your case opener tool pop the connection up. Now with the battery tab and the help of the case opener tool pry the battery up and out. ( if the battery bends a bit don't worry they are suppose to flex a bit)

Next lets remove a hand full of screws we are going to start at the top and remove 2 small phillips screws.

Now we are going to remove 2 phillips screws holding the Flash/camera into place.

Before we continue removing another million screws let release some of the cables.There is going to be 1 flex ribbon cable this is for the power, mute, and volume controls, and 2 antenna cables. they all easily pop up with the help of the case opener tool.

Sigh glad those are out the way lets get back to some more screws. IF you look at the logic board you should see a total of 5 screws to just small phillips and 3 screws that smaller screws screw into that need to be removed with a small flat head screw driver.

Now that you have those 5 screws out release the dock connector flex and one last antenna cable. After that the logic board should easily come out of the phone.

BUT WAIT before you just yank the board out of there make sure to get the antenna cable that is located at the bottom of the logic board and unplug it!

Now that logic board is free 2 small phillips screws are holding one last shield keeping you from taking the camera off the logic board. Remove those and with the case opener tool pop the camera off. Glad Apple took the time to make sure are the cables and wires where help in securely.

Lets shimmy are way down to the new lightning dock connector. Only 7 yes 7 small phillips screws are holding it in place. Remove all the screws, then gently pry up the the connector getting the case opener tool to help with a little leverage aint a bad idea since Apple wasn't shy on using glue to hold this thing down. The lightning connector, head phone jack, and the mic should all come out in one massive piece.

Here we're going to outline all the Unlockable Basebands for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM Only), iPhone 4S (GSM Only) & iPhone 5 (GSM Only.) and the methods of doing so. The most common misconception associated with iPhone Unlocking is that it relies on what iOS version you're running... this is false. Unlocking relies strictly on what Modem Firmware or "Baseband" your iDevice is on. In order to determine what Baseband your iDevice is follow this path, Settings>General>About... then look at the designating #'s next to "Modem Firmware." In addition, this outline does not include any iDevice that runs on a CDMA network (Verizon or Sprint). Those iDevices CANNOT BE UNLOCKED in any way outlined below.

In terms of Unlocking there are three methods...

1. The software version called "ultrasn0w" This is a package downloadable via Cydia, after a Jailbreak, through a stock repository that comes with Cydia. This method allows you to use any compatible GSM Sim. For the majority of users, this is the desired method since it doesn't require anything more than Jailbreaking. Then downloading the Ultrasn0w Package from Cydia. For iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 users on iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, or iOS 6.1, you must install UltraSn0w Fixer for iOS 6 in order for your unlock to work.

2. The hardware version called a Sim Card Interposer The only Sim Imposters that we recommend to use are Gevey Sims. The Gevey Ultra (iPhone 4) & Gevey Ultra S (iPhone 4S). This is due to it being the only legal option, in most areas, because it does not require you to dial an emergency number to complete the Unlock process. The Gevey Ultra (iPhone 4) supports iOS versions 4.0, 4.1, 4.2.1, 4.3, 4.3.1, 4.3.2 & 4.3.3. The Gevey Ultra supports the 1.59.00, 2.10.04, 3.10.01 & 4.10.01 Basebands. It will also support iOS 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.1 & 5.1.1 ONLY by preserving the 04.10.01 Baseband. The Gevey Ultra S (iPhone 4S) supports all iOS versions, 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.1 & 5.1.1. As well as all basebands; 1.0.11, 1.013, 1.0.14, 2.0.10 & 2.0.12. There are MANY Sim Card Imposters sold under the “Gevey” or “Ultra” name that simply do not work. Thus, we recommend that Gevey products only be purchased from a trusted supplier like Applenberry.com.

3. Installing the 6.15.00 iPad Baseband (3G & 3GS Only) Installing the iPad BB should only be utilized as a last resort. WARNING!!! The iPad BB IS NOT compatible w/ iPhone 3GS' manufactured during or after week 34 of 2011 (see below to determine when your 3GS was manufactured). Doing so will render the cellular radio inoperable. Installing the iPad BB will essentially LOCK it to this BB and, in most cases, cause your iDevice to lose GPS capabilities. Any future iOS updates will require updating w/ a custom IPSW. UPDATE!!! The newest version of redsn0w v. 0.9.14b2 will allow users w/ a 3G or compatible 3GS' (mentioned above) to downgrade from the iPad BB back to the 05.13.04 BB. Thus regaining full use of your GPS fuctionality and allow you to upgrade your iOS using stock IPSWs as opposed to creating a custom IPSW. If in the event you choose to take this route... the 6.15.00 iPad BB can be acquired via an option during the Jailbreak process using redsn0w.

*** To determine the manufacture date of your iPhone 3GS you check the 3rd, 4th and 5th digits of your serial number. The 3rd digit is the year(i.e. if it was an "8" your phone was manufactured in 2008, a “1” was manufactured in 2011). The 4th and 5th digits are the week of that year in which it was manufactured (if the 4th digit is a "3" and the 5th digit is a "4" then your iPhone was manufactured in the 34th week).***

**Update**

For new bootrom 3GS users. You can try another method to have your baseband downgraded to a feasible baseband. This mandates that you have iOS 4.1 blobs for your device. If you do not have them for your device, this method will not work.

Flash your 3GS with the iPad Baseband.
Downgrade your iPad Baseband to 05.13.04
Upgrade your iOS while preserving your baseband
Jailbreak your device and unlock using UltraSn0w. Use an UltraSn0w Fixer if applicable

Wiping all Cydia Tweaks without Restoring and Rejailbreaking

This is compatible with iOS 4 through 7.0.4 on all devices

So this was brought up to me this morning during work when a few of my colleagues installed incompatible tweaks and would end up stuck on the Apple logo, and since they didn't have Safe Mode, they weren't able to remove the incompatible tweak. But, since they're just stuck on the Apple logo, and they had absolutely no clue what the name of the Cydia tweak was, it's difficult to remove the tweak..... So, with that, I used their phones as lab rats to try out ILEX R.A.T. (See what I did there?)

The Catch:
ILEX R.A.T. WILL brick your phone if you're using Siriports. If you installed ANYTHING remotely similar to Siriports/Fake Siris, etc, etc through Cydia, and you DO NOT remove it manually, I WILL 100% GUARANTEE that you WILL brick your device. GUARANTEED. If you have a Siriport, and you plan on using ILEX R.A.T., you MUST manually remove Siriports and replace all of its associated system mods.

What's iLEX R.A.T.?

ILEX R.A.T. stands for Remove All Tweaks. Basically this removes each and every installed app, tweak and dependency EXCLUDING the defaults from Cydia, so after you've jailbroken your device a while back, and you installed your hundreds of packages, it'll all be removed with a single command.

What this is primarily used for is if your device ends up in a state where you cannot enter Safe Mode since you don't have it, or if your device is stuck on any screen but is still recognized by your PC, or, if your device can be placed into Safe Mode and you can't remove the tweak for some reason. The bigger use for this would be the general request of "How do I clean my device of all jailbroken apps and start over without restoring". We've all had that thought run through our minds once our devices start to act sluggish.

So say you have an iPhone 5, and you're on 6.1.2. Your device is acting sluggish, or you're giving it to a family member because you decide that you want a fresh out of the box iPhone 5 instead of your 5 month old iPhone 5. You want to wipe all your tweaks and such so that your successor can install what they please, but because the latest iOS is not jailbreakable, you don't want to restore, and since you have every single Cydia tweak installed, it'll take you ages to delete them all manually. This will be for you.

This will work for all devices but has a few other requirements as well that you'll have to keep in mind when using ILEX R.A.T.

Where Do I Start?

The tweak is simple. Simple download, install, and respring manually. It's an few KB deb, nothing huge.

Note: After extensive testing, I highly recommend that users avoid the ILEX R.A.T. GUI. The progression of the wiping is imperfect in the GUI, so you have to first make sure that your device is not going to sleep because that will pause the progression, and that in most cases, you will not be able to see what is on your screen, so you will not be warned when you are to reboot your device. The command terminal may be slightly more work in terms of setup, but is a safer route.

Method 1- Removing only Cydia tweaks.

To implement the R.A.T feature, you'll need to use a single command, "rat". How do you use the command? Well we have several options

MobileTerminal (you can install this free from the default Cydia repos)
PuTTy (for Windows users)
Terminal (default for OS X users)
iFunBox (both Windows and OS X users)
Any other utility that allows you to run commands from your PC

(You can download MobileTerminal and iLEX RAT from the above repository)

Once you need the feature, simple open up any of these prompts (enabling SSH may be required for utilities like PuTTy and such), and type in 'rat'. You don't have to actually have to enter your credentials for Root access. Simply have a connection between your command terminal to your device (or simple open up MobileTerminal on your device) and type in "rat" without quotes.

Example would be the following command line:

iPhone:~ mobile$ rat

And run the command. Then follow the simple instructions that crop up on your screen. Make sure you heed all warnings and read carefully. It's basically just a series of "Y" and "N" options and such.

So to remove all tweaks, once you've ran your command, type in "1", then tap Return. It'll start to compile a list of all tweaks and such that R.A.T will remove. When it asks for do you want to remove ILEX R.A.T, you can say Y or N, that's up to you. Saying Y will not cause your device to blow up, it'll just purge itself after the process. I'd say to say N so that just to keep it there as a future contingency plan.

Next a prompt will come up warning you that all tweaks will be installed, but your jailbreak AND unlock will be retained (so yes, UltraSn0w and the Fixer, if applicable, will stay if you're relying on them). "Y" and return again.

R.A.T will now go through the compiled list that its made and remove all the tweaks. This process will take a few minutes or more depending on how many tweaks you have installed. It'll then ask if you want to remove all tweak settings. "Y" if you just want to wipe and start fresh, "N" if you're going to re-install the same tweaks and such.

Summarized Instructions:

1. Open Command Terminal
2. Type in "rat", return.
3. "1", return
4. "Y" or "N", return (Y to remove R.A.T along with everything, N to keep)
5. "Y", return
6. "Y" or "N", return (Y to delete all user settings, N to keep all user settings)
7. Respring/reboot

You're done. I recommend re-springing or rebooting your device as you would be prompted to when you uninstall a tweak from Cydia that affects the system files.

Method 2- Removing everything except your barebone jailbreak

This method is slightly different from the first method. The first method is used to strictly remove your jailbroken tweaks and settings. Method 2 however, allows you to wipe your device BUT keep your jailbreak. For many users, they're experiencing lag, slow performance, etc, etc., and they want to restore but yet keep their jailbreak, this feature basically replicates the "Erase All Contents and Settings" in Settings.app, BUT, if your device is jailbroken, using the stock version rather than this version will result in you being issues that will require you to do a manual DFU restore, meaning you'll lose your jailbreak and will have no way of turning back for A5+ users.

Option 12. iLEX-RESTORE: Revive, Speed Up, Clean Up.

Basically you follow the set-up instruction like method 1, except this time, instead of choosing option '1', you choose option '12'. Resulting in the below screen

Remember that this option will wipe your device, and keep the jailbreak/UltraSn0w that's on your device (if applicable). Type in 'Y', Enter. And it should begin. It'll take a few minutes or longer depending on what you have on your but in the end, it'll wipe your device as if you tapped on the "Erase All Content and Settings" that you normally do not tap on a jailbroken device because it will mess up your device.

Summarized Instructions:

1. Open Command Terminal
2. Type in "rat", return/enter
3. "12", return/enter
4. "Y", return/enter
4A. "Y" or "N", return/enter (ILEX R.A.T. will ask whether or not you want to remove MobileTerminal as well if you're using MobileTerminal)
