i dont cook much lately.

oh..to be exact i dont cook at all since these 2,3 months. so i thought of changing the title of my blog. brilliant idea isnt it?

heheh.

and other reason of changing this is so that i can get more opportunity from payperpost and gain more more $$$$$.

yup...this is chicken feet soup. i am a kampung gal. so this kind of food is nothing for me. oh..but i only will take it if the legs are really tender.

yesterday kak shida brought some soup from home. chicken feet and neck soup.

this is a must have dish during hari raya.

since i didnt had much of it during last holiday, i am so eager to cook it by myself. asked miss I from the office, and since her recipe is quite dofferent from mom, i only use what can i get in the fridge to do it.

ingredients :-

* beef/chicken
* dried chilli (or others depend on your taste)
* kerisik ( i will show u how to make your own kerisik later)
* coconut milk
* ginger
* galangal
* turmeric
* red onion
* garlic
* lemongrass
* turmeric leaf
* salt and sugar

Direction :-

- blend together red onion, garlic, lemongrass, ginger,galangal, turmeric and chilli.
- fry all the blended paste in a little oil for a minute.
- put in lemongrass.
- add beef/chicken and stir for a while until they combined together.
- add the coconut milk, kerisik and some salt and sugar.
- cook for a minutes, add in turmeric leaf.
- stir until the meat is tender and the liquid are gone.

simple isnt it?

i love to read the recipe but haven't try to do it until last month when my preggy sis asked me to do some cupcakes for hari raya celebration.

tried two of the recipes and the result was not bad at all.

should try more after this. depends on my time.

wrote bout it before in my other blog, but without the recipe coz i'm taking it from this young doc's blog.

i think i should write the chicken chop recipee here since i dont trust myself to keep the printed one hikhik. so here we goes:-

for the chicken

*1 chicken breast
*ground black pepper/black pepper seasoning
*crushed garlic
*1 egg
*salt to taste
*3 tablespoon corn flour
*bread crumbs
*3/4 pcs of cream cracker biscuit

black pepper sauce

*2 tablespoon butter
*1 chicken cube
*1 tablespoon black pepper (or more. depends)
*corn flour/wheat flour
*soysauce
*1 1/2 garlic
*water
*mayonis
(water and mayo can be substitute with fresh milk)

coleslaw :

*cabbage
*carrot
*3 tablespoon mayonese
*1/3 teaspoon milk
*salt to taste

simple recipe, but the taste is very nice. try lah!!!

my mom's kuah lodeh

ayied asked me the recipe of kuah lodeh that i cook last few days. its my mom's recipe.

ingredients :-

onion
garlic
red chilli
green chilli
ginger
anchovies
shrimp paste
lemon grass
vegetables : long beans, cabbage, carrot, tempe & potato (depends on yr taste), sengkuang (turnip?)
cooking oil

you guys know how to prepare it right?

and this is the result. best to eat with lontong or plain rice and add some sambal tumis.

laksa penang. this stall happened to be the best laksa in pasir gudang (for me and my frens laa). but this time the taste was so-so. a bit salt will make the taste better. yeah...posaa...

catch of the day :-

badak berendam (soaking hyppo? hiksss). a dude ask the kakak "gimme kuih onde2 pls". i was like...where the hell got kuih onde2 at that stall. apparently he asked for the badak berendam. the taste is B. not so good lah. bulan posa yea kak??

my main dish for the day was nasi beriani. ohh.. i dont like the nasi, the ayam masak merah and all - acar, dalca. cant finished all the nasi. only C for this nasi.

roti john. i just ate quarter of the roti. rating = B.

a simple yet tasteful chocolate cake

wanna try this simple recipe?

the ingredients :-

220g flour

wheat flour

self-raising flour

u can choose either one actually.
me? i combine both...

190g of buttercup or any butter u like

330 g of sugar..

me use castor sugar...faster

3 eggs

50g of cocoa powder

vanilla flavour, bicarbonate soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt.

no need to add baking powder if u r using the self raising flour

the directions :-

Preheat oven at 180 degree C.

Combine flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate soda, baking powder and salt. sieve (aiyoo is this correct? ayak in english apa haaa) at least 3 times.

In another bowl, beat buttercup and sugar until white and fluffy.

add in eggs. one by one

lower the speed of your mixer, then put in the flour combination into batter.

mix thoroughly.

add some water to the batter. mix thoroughly.

pour into greased pan

baked for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until the cake tester/toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

and walla.... a simple chocolate cake.

you can decorate it as u wish...

i've to take leave due to some personal matters in jb. reached home at 5.45 p.m. its rainy and as usual i want something to munch. since there's lots of flour in the cabinet so the idea of having some jemput2 is cumming :D (noks..what is jemput2 in english?).

the best ever jemput2 i had besides mom's is by maknab, the janitor at the office. she always bring some homecook breakfast for us (read: the HR peeps). her jemput2 is our all-time fav.

my 1st attempt to made maknab's recipee of jemput2 :

the look are not nice but the taste is not bad.

so, after this i will try my very best not to abandon this blog too. yeah...written bout this before but somehow..its not easy to find a best entry about food. btw since Ramadhan is around the corner, should be no problem then.

talking about Ramadan, i will spend my 1st day this year in kampung. (followed by the 2nd and the 3rd also. long leave cuz of Merdeka day, and Awal Ramadan for Johor). easy meh...mom will cook all the foods during break fasting and sahur. me? just eat lahhh..oh..and take few piccies for this blog. i bet mom should wondering..why laa this girl take all those pics, heheh.

i'm on my study leaves. will have no time to cook (except for water) tho. so, went out for lunch with ayied.

i had fried chicken and some ulam with gulai lemak ikan masin and costs me RM 4.00. the price are slightly higher than before. haiyooo... need to lodge a complaint to their boss lah!!

durian cake

somebody asked me to post the durian cake recipe that i baked last 2 weeks. just a simple recipe to try.

the ingredients :-

185 g of self raising flour
185 g buttercup
155 g granulated sugar
4 eggs (medium)
durian

directions :-

preheat oven to 190 degree C
stir sugar and buttercup until light and fluffy.
add egg yolks one at a time
then add the egg white and flour, stir slowly
add durian (to ensure durian mix well in batter, stir first with margerine or buttercup)
bake at 180 degree C for 30 minutes or until cake tester inserted into centre of cake comes out clean.

then eat lah! LOL

Simple Fried Rice

its not easy to handle 2 blogs at one time. with my chaostic schedule (yea...rite!!!) and since the blog is only talk about food, i always abandon this page.

well...i do eat everyday, but normally i forgot to take some pics and will only remember when i've finished everything. so howw???

but hey...now i'm back with summore foods foods and foods.

today i made "Nasi Goreng Bujang" (Simple Fried Rice) for myself. let the photos do the story mory :-

ingredients : garlic, shrimp paste, chillies, chicken cube,anchovies and egg. not forgetting some rice and oil for fry.

put the ingredients one by one in the kuali and then....

wallaa...your nasi goreng bujang is ready. aiyooo...so hot lah.

baked some muffin yesterday.

chocolate chips and chocolate banana muffin. the taste is ok i guess lol.

the results :-

all chocolate based since i got lots of choc powder stocks in the fridge.

hahaha ...pity my friends.
