Those who are interested in entrepreneurship, innovations, social change agent kind of things, there is one very good full day seminar kind of thing is coming in Ahmedabad at LD engineering college on 26^th Feb, Sunday 2012.

There is one concept called “BARCAMP”, which gathers all the likeminded entrepreneurs, social innovator, those who think out of box. There will be a 2-3 sessions going on in adjacent rooms where anyone can participate and anyone can give lecture, only prior registration of topic is required.

I had attended last barcamp in Ahmedebad at EDI during this time period only in the year 2010. It was really very good and informative. You can network their with like minded people, your field mates, etc.

Gujarat Tourist Places Khambhat and Dakor

Friends,

I have enjoyed this year Utarayana at four places (14 and 15Jan), which includes Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, tarapur and Khambhat. I would like to have my readers aware about Khambat’s Utarayan. Khambhat is nearly 100 KM away from Ahmedabad and known as navabi state and famous for stylish kite manufacturing and Halwasan (sweet item).

Khambhat is already known for its good looking Kites all over the Gujarat. These kite prices are slightly higher than normal one and mostly buy these kites regularly for show off .
Now, in Khambhat they used to fly big size and very big size kites on the day of Utarayana and Vasi-Utarayana. This thing is common for them while in other part of Gujarat, people generally used to fly one big kite at the end of day or once in a day.
Lastly, they specially celebrate DARIYAI Utarayana on particularly SUNDAY, which comes after Vasi Utaraya (15^th Jan). In this celebration whole city people comes to coastal lines of Khambhat, where very big fields for salt growers are there. It is like fun fair for them, all people are flying kites and enjoying, there are so many eatery points. Colorful kites are lying in the large salt ponds.

DAKOR:

Now coming to Dakor part, I had visited my uncle place these days, where I have clicked some photos, where I used to spend my all the vacations from childhood to 22 age. My three uncle owns a Temple of Shree RAM and Hanuman, which is almost 200 years old (may be more than that). Our home is so big that we dont need to go outside to play hide and seek and other games. There is one Gaushala there, very giant Godown is there and plenty rooms for visitors.

See this image, even before 150 year, how good they were at design and casting. Just look at the words “ramji mandir” which means “RAMJI TEMPLE”. This whole place is called Ram_mahel and exactly opposite to Shree RAM,SITAJI and LAXMANJI temple, there is one more temple of Shree Hanumanji (almost 15Ft idol). There is one well also within the building, where our cricket ball used to drown frequently.

Now see this image, the front gate of the house, the giant wooden gate. Here my uncle used to offer prayer for Shree Ranchodrayji, when there was special celebration for Dushera, where God used to visit one near by place on the Elephant. So from the gallery above the giant gate, Elephant used to stood up and one of the my uncle do the AARTI. That scene was amazing.

Now, see the tiles here, which are 150 years old and also see the RAM-PANCHAYAT photos carved on the surrounding wall of the main temple.

And Finally, the bell and ZALAR which I used to play during morning and evening daily AARTIs.

Gujarat Tourist Places-- NaL Sarovar…………..Watched more boats than Birds……Even sea-gulls were hard to find

Hi Friends,

First have a look at this photo.

You might think these all are birds, but see it properly, these all are boats full of tourists (including me).

Tow days back (Sunday-8^th dec 2012), I went to Nalsarovar with one of my friend. I went there after almost 4 years, and situation is changed totally. Some key points:

Generally Nalasarovar is popularly known as biggest bird century . You can find lakhs of bird of some hundreds of species in the Nalsarovar as it is wide enough around 120 SQ KM area.
There are more than 200 hundred cars and around 10 luxuries there in the parking, more than 200 school children and so many young boys and girls groups.
Govt has disallowed cars to till the Nalsarovar actual site, they have made good parking space almost 2 KM before the actual site. But they people allowed auto-rikhshow in that 2KM portion.
Boatmans are taking their own charge against predefined rates.
Now some information and suggestion:
If you really want to see birds reach there by at least 7AM. Real bird watchers are there before 6AM. For the same you need to start minimum
Go for max bargaining with boatman. There are 300 fixed for small 1 hour ride. While for big trip they will ask for 2250 or 1650 , but stick with 600-800 only they will surely come down. We went for 2 and half hour ride for 800.
Ask boatman to turn right or left or let the boat into grass if you see any bird, they will drive to the grass, no problem in that.
On the watchtower island, don’t miss to eat “Bajra na Rotala” and “bhadthu”. They will tell you only one rotla in 50Rs but again do the bargaining, they will give 2 rotla and chas and gol and two subji.
* finally don’t don’t miss the Horse riding. If you fond of riding alone, go for big ride Rs80 or 120 round. You will surely enjoy as I did.

HORSE WILL MAKE YOU 0-100KM speedy Guy in just 3 Seconds. You will realize why engine capacity is related with horsepower.Each and every part of your body will get the exercise.

if you are planning for 300 small ride, don’t go for it as it will not allow you to see any bird, except some sea gulls. And if you are going for long ride bargain at max.

Road was in good condition till Nalsarovar and there are so many bungalow schemes , with only good looking front.

If you are a really taste lover, gujju, don’t forget to eat “GANTHIYA’ at the SANAND, GALODHA TALAV CHAR RASTA named “SAURASHTRA GANTHIYA”. You will surely forget taste of laxmi ganthiya rath , a famous one in Ahmedabad.

Transform your Life ………..Part2 ………Clarity in Life

We had seen in this post about overall outline of transforming the life. Now let’s see the setting priorities part in detail. Overall outline is like this;

S ) Do you have any chart prepared for next 5 years, 10 years or so.

U ) Have you done your own SWOT analysis

C) Do you have defined your priorities

c) Have you written your desires and GOALS, both are totally different things.

e) Do you have any detailed written action plan for each of your goal

s) Do you have monitoring mechanism in place.

Priorities: Human life is driven by priorities. Sometime we predefine it and in most of the cases we have to do that dynamically. So which one is the best?

Predefined Priorities OR Dynamic Priorities

My priority is PREDEFINED one, because it gives CLARITY. Clarity about further course of life, our actions and our goals. Everything is so much clear that there is least chance of confusion or duality. So which are the set of things, defining which we can have 90 % clarity in our future life.

I have done this and by doing the same you can also get the peace of mind, faster actions and less hurdles in your achievements.

These are the things which need to be setup once; later on you will follow it automatically. Only some practice needed. It might be possible that due to some circumstances, you may not in state of predefined priority but keeping in the mind the same; you will definitely get the same within short time:

1 Money or Family

2 Job You want OR Job you got

3 Self pride OR Relationship

4 Family or Friends

5 Mother, Father Vs the Rest

6 થોડું થોડું સુખ કે ઘણું બધું સુખ એક સાથે (want frequent happiness in day to day life OR want it in gross after some time)

Now comes the main part

7 Your Mother OR Your Wife ----- Define it and read it out with your wife/mother, it will eliminate 50 % problems of yours.

8 Routine life OR innovation in Life every day.

9 Goals OR Desire

10 Money for future OR Money for current

11 Family values OR personal priorities

12 Always trust others OR always suspect others.

13 Risk OR routine

14 Family first OR Nation first.

15 Set the example or Follow the example

I have identified and defined above things and shown it to my wife and conveyed to my mother also, I have also encouraged my wife to do the same and she did it also. Result of the same is that we don’t have single quarrel in our 8 year of married life on the topic of my mother or my family.

Choosing 15 things above will not only give you clarity in your day to day life, but it will so many hurdles knowingly or unknowingly.

Please note that we are social animals and we are living in society, freedom is necessary but there are certain limits/boundaries, we need to take decision accordingly and appropriately. And once done, stick with it. Out next chapter will be on honoring you words, which is relevant to current one also.

Hobby Sharing................OLD COIN COLLECTION from 18th Century onwards...........

I had talked about my long hobby list earlier in this post. Yesterday, after long time I analyzed my Old coin Collection which consists coins from 18th century onwards. Till date I just keep collecting it, never analyzed and never care about it.

But from today onwards, by this post I will not only keep analyzed information but going to keep all the coins in proper place also (album type). Anyone intrested in seeing the same, most welcome. Now the information.

Total Coins: 83
Foreign coins: 10
After 1960 and not in use as on today: 14
Before 1800-1900 : 15 east Indian Company coins + 5 Indian state coins
After 1900-1960 : 36
Unidentified: 3

What keeps up all driving, what is missing ..................hobby list part-3

“If you want to be extraordinary and non-routine life, you have to do set of ordinary and routine task on daily base”

And that set of things includes:

Wake up early in the morning late by 5am ---- this one is must
Thinking for goals for 45 minute ----- good for those who want to be businessman
Work hard without any Sundays ---- for future businessman
Plan for near future with specific goals ----- common for all
Plan your next day at night
You, yourself be punctual, don’t think about others if they are not ---- common for all
Honor your words ----- it will create force which you will realize later
Respect your mother, father and country, give time to your family also. ----Nations comes first.
Develop or cultivate one of your hobby like reading, playing, writing (what I am doing ) etc.

You take any example of successful businessman/entrepreneur/politician/scientist, they do 90% things out of above set. Rest they have developed on their own and mentioned it in their own book.

Even you might have started exercising some 1 or 2 from above, got initial good results and later on you discontinued it without any reason (you might have feel that it can be achievable and I will do it whenever required). So need of the hour is:

YOU MUST DO IT ON DAILY BASE WITHOUT FAIL.

This whole series of "TRANSFORMATION" is devoted to youth, students who are going to kick off their life. If they are clear, focused and ready for action, they will surely achieve their goals.

First of all, check do you really want abnormal, transformed life or only thinking about it in the night dreams.

If you are doing following thing, please leave it behind and made up your mind with simple logic that only action will give result, nothing else.

F) We are in search of best solution, in search of the same we are not applying better one also.

O) We are in search of risk free, lower risk business and delaying our own startup in the name of fear of failure. Actually we are lazy ones, who are reading, searching the things, explore the things…………..but do not want to apply it.

O) We always thinks about fear of failure but we never think of joy of doing the things.

L) It is all about easy and hard, we always want easy work and hard returns, but actually only hard work can give hard returns. So lets face it.

So let’s start it afresh. Lets not waste time in endless planning and calculations and start taking action in every front. Let’s create SUCCES and live SUCCES (mentioned above). It is the base-pillar-foundation. Make it strong, take enough time to write it down. I had taken full 3 month to do so, but I tasted transformed life after that, till date.

SO finally Anna passed and Ramdev baba failed ………………….Why ??????

There are only two reasons behind the same.

1) 1) RAmdevbaba wanted “Immediate Action on so many fronts “against congress itself so it is but obvious that congress will crusade them, while ANNA (puppet in the hand of congress and kejriwal) want only Janlokpal which is no way feasible and implementable within coming 5 years. So congres does not have problem in the same where no immediate action is required. Infect Congress has made anna from zero to hero just to slowdown, crusade ramdevbaba’s agitation which required immediate action.

2) 2) MEDIA (both electronic and print media), which is now a days so powerful and greedy that it can make hero to zero and zero to hero based on money power directly or indirectly.

I got some proof and eventual evidences which will make my assumption and allegation into reality check.

Hi Friends,

First of all prioritize:

What do you want -------- routine life OR new-changed--extraordinary non-routine life?

Most of us will give answer non-routine life as usual. But they will fail to elaborate more to their answer. Because they have DESIRE to live non-routine life, but they don’t have any sub-sequent GOALS to be so. There is major difference between goal and desire, which is ACTION.

In short; In most of the case, without any divine help desire will be your desire only, without any results. Because

Desire	-	Action	=	Desire only
non-routine life		No action at all, duality in every field, no vision, no priorities in life		Same non-routine life

While in the case of GOAL, end result is assured, GOAL is something like this

Goal	=	Desire	+	Action
Extraordinory non-routine life		non-routine life		set of priorities, plans, risk, new initiatives, to do lists etc

So what makes person living routine life throughout the life;

You might have heard most of the aged people saying like this: If I did blah-blah at the age of 30-40, I might be at different place today, I might be billionaire today, I might be more satisfied(happy) today and so on ……………………………….

IT WAS THE ACTION, which was missing at the age of 30-40 or so. It was the lack of risk taking ability at that particular time.

So friends, introspect yourself and find out your desire and convert it into your goal and start taking actions, so that at-least you don’t have to say the same thing at the age of 60.

Friends,

I like to collect old coins and stamps ---- I got collection of over 100 old coins and 15 stamps, out of which some is almost 200 hundred years old.
I like to play chess ---- learn from father and playing it very good, if anyone interested we can arrange it at my home
I like to play badminton --- I used to bunk our engineering lectures to play badminton (specially doubles)
I like to play cricket, table-tennis,football, and many more games whenever I got chance.
I like to go for adventure trips, trekking , youth hostel camps --- I had been to many local and national treks, and ready to go anywhere without single question.
I like to eat roadside food, tryout any variety of food ------ in single quote "I love to eat"
I like to try new things, configure new things and explore new possibilities in any field
Above all I like to share, share everything I know

Friends, above list is too short, I have many more hobbies and desires and goals which makes me cheerful happy, motivated and focused.

So in nutshell, make your hobby list as long as you can (if it is not, add some to your list), be clear about desire and goals, list out your priorities and you will see total change in your life.

Feeling proud .........my father in news headlines for good reason

Hi Friends,

First some background:
My Father is Civil Surgeon in Govt Hospital (Boss) at taluka place. After 4-5 transfers, he was placed at Santrampur (near Godhra, dahod.........) during 2001. After long period of nearly 10 years, once again he has been transferred to the remote place (Jamkhambhaliya --near Jamnagar reliance ) again at the age of 58 years. But he is still fit and doing up-dawn during weekends to our gandhinagar home where my mother and family is living.

Now the news:

When he got transferred after 10 years, local newspaper has published emotional article about him, his services to the trible people all in positive manner.

Have a look at it youself.

Now the question: There was general rule in govt that person need to be transferred every 3 year (at higher level) and during his last 3-4 years of service he must be placed to his native place.

But in my father's case both the rules has been twisted.

One more time I got chance to saw more than 15 SARAS crane giant birds in a row (group), generally they are found in pair or max three in group.

So Those who are intrested in watching SARAS bird along with other foreigner birds, can contact me. I will guide them for the road and if possible I will come with them also. There are 2-3 fixed places where you can easily find SAras birds. Those who are new to this bird can read my earlier post here about the same.

Updates on GIFT city project 2011

Hi Friends,

Fortunately I am working in the same building where GIFT project office is located. Yesterday I got some very good information from there that construction work of two 30 storied building have been started off. Boundry wall work has been completed. This work has been executed by L&T.

So now work is going on in full pace, cheers up.

I do support Hazare but not fully.............so ultimately no to Hazare type candle light movement

First of all reasons, why I dont like this drama of four days at all..................

1) It is on one particular issue which is lokpal bill, it is not about to remove corruption at all, it is for prevention only................................
2) Timing of the drama.................where was he till date, was there no corruption 1 y, 2y, 3y ,4y,5y back
3) It is very good that pawar (the most corrupt guy in the Indian history) exposed in public (I think there is some rivalry between anna and pawar)
4) Why Anna is silent on other corrupt minister and on puppet (robot) prime minister himself, how can he trust Kapil Sibbal (third last in corruption list) for negotiation talk.
5) Most significant.........................How can Megha Patkar, Agnivesh, Mallika Sarabhai kind Zolachap, most psudo people can be a leading partner of this drama..................If he can show the door to Uma Bharti and Chautala why he has not shown the same door to Megha Patkar and other sudo people.
6) So can we expect the same hazare on agriculture issue after some 2000-3000 farmer death within 2-3 months just like some 3-4 big corruption scams within 3-4 months.
7) Same kind of candle light march and movement was there during Mumbai attack, what happened after that ..............nothing at all, though personally hazare is very good, simple and clean but when he got support from same candle light marchers, nothing will come out
8) It is clearly visible that Central Govt will surely accept all their demands, because they are under pressure this time, elections in multiple states, their own man clearly involved in big scams, volume of scams is sky high etc. So for show purpose also they have to do that.

Let me have readers view and have debate.

Meanwhile for my reader's information, NAMO Govt has thrown Central Govt's Income Tax dept's notice on vibrant Gujarat into the DUSTBIN in OPEN press conference.

But above all, I would like to hear Mr Kejriwal (spoke person of Anna) on news, truth and with the direct point. It was good.

Dunny point-2 unknown tourist place of Gujarat

Be informed about CEE and Sundarvan:

Dunny point is place is totally handled by Sundarvan organization which comes under CEE (center for Environmetal Education). This Sundarvan is run by Mr Rajendrasinh Jadeja, who also run Sundervan zoo in satellite area of Ahmedabad, this also an unique place for visiting.

So Sundervan has set up there some 7-8 huts, and setup some necessary structure there, which are purely natural one. They use solar cell for lighting purpose, drinking water from boat or nearer well (drinking water is like scarce resource there).
This whole camp is opened for 3-4 months only across the year (from Dec-Mar). Booking procedure has been started in Apr-May itself at Ahmedabad Sundervan office. PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT INDIVIDUAL BOOKING, YOU MUST HAVE TO BE IN GROUP.
Generally it is 2 night and 3 days kind of outing. Charges, I don’t know exactly, because I have gone through Youth Hostel Association. YHAI has charged 2200 for the same. This cost is nothing against what you got, but yes, it will surely frustrating for those people, who are looking for luxury package in this cost/place.

Here, you have to do everything manually out of minimal provided facilities. There will be no lights, no separate rooms (only dormitories), no good looking washroom, no room service…………..nothing.

But what you get in return; peace of mind (guaranteed), if you are nature lover, you will surely appreciate this place, sea bathing unlimited, star filled sky (they will teach during night session, what is star gazing, how sun and moon rises, what is the fix angle for that and many more things), bird watching, Ayuvedic plant identification, shells and many more things. There is plenty of sea things available on the coast line.

I was at Dunny Point (island) during 29 to 31^st January 2011, 25KM from Dwarka. Now questions arise;

What is Dunny point ?
why one should know about dunny point ?
why one should be interested in Dunny Point?

Dunny Point:

Some History and location information first:

Almost all the Gujjus are aware of Dwarka and Bet Dwarka. For others, Dwarka is the place where Lord Krishna had established his own state during his last time (which is under the sea water now). It is located at the Western end point of whole INDIA. Means, Gujarat is the western state of India ann now Okha-Dwarka is the final endpoint of Gujarat in West direction.

Now Talking about Bet (beyt) Dwarka, it is the island near Okha where Lord Shri Krishna’s 16000 wife used to live. This island is totally uneven, it got its tail type surface which is called DUNNY POINT. You can see in below picture everything, Dwarka-OKHA-Bet Dwarka-Dunnypoint.

So some quick point:

Dwarka is about 550+ KM far from Gujarat’s center point Ahmedabad.
Okha is some 22 Km from the Dwarka.
Bet dwarka is almost .5 nautical mile from Okha (10-15) min boat ride, while Dunny point is about 1 and half hour boat ride from OKHA.

Now, Dunny point in detail:

sea, dolphin, loneliness,
no electricity, no mobile, natural facilities only
corals colony, water covering your three sides (during night time, it comes up to your tent),
star-gazing with maximum visible stars in the sky, sunset and sunrise in the sea only,

Uttrayan-Makarsankranti...........the Gujarat way of Celebration.......................Unique Dariyai (sea) Utarayan at Khambhat

Hi Friends,

I know I am late, but I cant stop myself to write about Utarayan festival I have celebrated this time.

Generally, we Gujju people are more crazy about utarayan than Diwali and any other festival all over the year. Kites were flying 2 months ago almost every corner of Gujarat. Finally during the 14 & 15 January, all are present on their terrace, ground including small and elders for the whole day. In some cases till 2 AM, flying white kites and tukkal.

Now coming to my experience this year. This year Utarayan was on Friday, Vasi Utarayan on 15th Jan Saturday and 16th Jan was official holiday as sunday. So during these three days, I was in four different city of Gujarat, enjoying this festival in different mood.

14 Jan --in Gandhinagar(capital city of Gujarat) and Ahmedabad.
15 Jan -- in Tarapur and Khambhat (one taluka place in Gujarat)
16 Jan -- in Khambhat whole day, enjoying Dariyaeee (sea) Utarayan.

You all might know something more or less about utarayan in Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar, but in this article I am going to give you glimpse about Khambhat (cambay) Utarayan. This was the first time I have seen the Khambhat Utarayan. Some unique point about that;

Khambhat is known for its kite making industry, speciall well fabricated kites that sells at above average price in market. Generally it is called "khambhati patang".
I have seen people flying very large size kites all over the day. Generally here in other parts of Gujarat, we enjoy flying one big kite during the whole day and felt proud and satisfied. But in proper Khambhat the scene is different, almost all the people flies very very large kites continuously all over the day.
It is general tradition in Khambhat that people use to fly one kite with whole one Phirki.
They celebrate Dariyai (sea shore )Utarayan following Sunday of 14th January, so this year it was on 16 Jan.
On this day around 4 PM, almost all the people of Khambhat went to nearby sea shore, where currently salt has been produced. This continues to till 8 or 9 PM.
Just imagine four to 5 thousand people flying kites at one place, which includes more than 50% muslims and all are enjoying. Just see the below photographs to believe it.
It was like funfare with kites flying mandatory like thing.
There was no place to park our vehicle, police arrangement was adequate.
SALT agar (lake) were filled with Kites in water. It was like lake was producing kites instead of Salt.
During the Vasi Utarayan day (15 jan), after evening crackers were busted till the 11 PM continuously all over the Khambhat.

In the end I would to have next Gujarat International Kite festival to be hosted at this place only,

as it is perfectly suitable place for big kite flying (wind, space available and easy transportation)
people were coming without invitation on that particular day.
We can promote Salt Agar tourism by this way. Central Gujarat tourism will be developed by this way.
We can show the world how Muslims and Hindus are celebrating one festival with joy.
Local people will also participate with their giant kites.

I do hope that Gujarat Government official take note of this event and organize next event at this place only like they has done this time at Mandvi and Tent city in Kutch.

Last figure of Vibrant Gujarat Summit MOUs and some quick bites

Hi Friends,

Finally at the end of second day of Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2011, total "7936 MoUs were signed worth Rs. 20.83 lakh crore Rupees or 450 bullion U.S. dollar".

Now talking about implementation rate, whenever any company sign MOU with central Govt and other Govt, conversion rate is 13-15%, while in Gujarat official figure is more than 55% and unofficial figure is 35%.................so whatever it may be ultimately Gujarat will be benefited.

Those who are talking about environment other things, Gujarat is also top in Agriculture with over 9.6% rate (national rate is 2.5% only), also Gujarat is top in Mangroves plantation (78 mangroves planted in Gujarat only out of 100 nationwide), Govt policy has been strict to tree plantation, removal and suaze treatment norms.......................................So with these figures shut mouth of such psuedo environmentalists.

There are many more constraints/objections/views/interpretation/own judgments and against it there are real facts/figures/ground realities/clarification, which I will talk later in separate post.

Boat ride will cost you 150/hour. Dont forget to eat Rotla-Makhan(butter) and Red chatni at huts nearby. Also dont forget to eat Ganthiya from "saurashtra Ganthiya house" at Gadhiya Lake cross road in Sanand, you will forgot "Ganthiya rath" chutny.

This photo is taken from my office window. Ground is called "University Ground", which is popular for large, grand scale celebrations. This time one very large scale Government function is going to be organize here called "SWARNIM CHESS MAHOTSAV". Actual event will be held on 24th dec, but preparations are going day and night since last 10 days.

Four years ago Mexico City got into the Guinness Book of Records by staging simultaneous exhibitions for 14,000 chess enthusiasts. On December 24 the city of Ahmedabad in India is set to break the record with 20,000 participants. It promises to be a visual spectacle, with University Grounds turned into a giant chess board with 64 alternating black and white squares.
