Some colors in the pictures may differ for your model. That is fine, what matters most is the shape and mechanics of the hinge piece.

Step 1: Inspect Mechanism Parts
The plastic hinge mechanism should be check for any damages. All pieces should be available and in good functional condition before proceeding to the next step.

Step 2: Hook the hinge onto the base

Start with the small clip. Hook the two top plastic tabs of the hinge under the top metal hooks on the base of the keyboard. Slide the clip down into the groove. Do the same for the big clip except it goes to the bottom metal hooks on the keyboard. Once the two clips are in place, press down firmly all around to secure them in place.

Step 3: Completing the Mechanics

Insert the last plastic piece into the bottom bar as shown in first picture below. Press down on the opposite end to secure it in place. You can now check that the hinge mechanic works properly by pressing down on it a few times.

Step 4: Press the key into place

Align the key on top of its place on the keyboard, and press down evenly.
