John manages to pull off a very hard task with this album, presenting some genuinely “happy” and “uplifting” material. In a World where music can sometimes be used to spread the writers misery around, it’s really refreshing to hear music that does exactly the opposite. I defy anyone with any sense of spirit to listen to tracks like “Believe in yourself” or “Whatever makes you happy” and not raise a smile.
