I'm taking 5 mg of Flexaril in the morning and 10 mg at night. So far, I haven't tried the 5 mg in the morning yet. I just bought a pill splitter for nearly $6.00. OK, 2 things I'd like to try selling, the vests that you put in the microwave and pill splitters for less than 6 bucks. :)

I'd like to hear from others what they are taking for pain management. Really, Flexaril just knocks me out at 10 mg so I am sceptical of taking 5 mg during the day. This song by Huey Lewis and the News really sums it up when it talks of a drug that won't make me sleep all day.

That's all I can blog for now. My pain is starting to worsen sitting here.

Hope you all are doing well! "Here comes the rain again/Raining in my head like a tradgedy"

So, with the rain for the past few days I have been more exhausted and more in pain. Not bedridden as that makes matters worse, but certainly limited movement and pain. I actually did some minimal grocery shopping yesterday just to get out and get moving. I'm going to take the trash out and check the mail for todays movement. That's about all I can do today, unfortunately. I did get in the floor a couple of times with my son. He really needed the playtime and it was good for me too. We laughed alot.

I looked up weather and its effects of fibromyalgia. It was just as I suspected. Lots of other people with FM, CFS, MS, RA, and OA have trouble with changes in the weather too. I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who suffers from these things and their observations about the weather and their symptoms.

Soon and once a month, I'll be featuring some quick, easy, and most importantly tasty dinners for those days when it is just impossible to stand in the kitchen. It's just less expensive than ordering pizza or going to fast food. And, you can pretty much put these in the oven or crock pot and set the timer.

Blessings to you all!

I'd like to discuss here some of the disabilities that most people don't realize are disabilities, diseases ranging from mental illness to ms to fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Most people would look at me and say there is nothing wrong with me. I've even said that all the while my body feels like I have run a 10K when all I've done is walked from my car to my second floor apartment. I don't have this happen everyday, but lately it has gotten worse. Perhaps it is the stress of being a single mom of a toddler that has called my fibromyalgia to flare up or perhaps it is the stress of an impending divorce. Tomorrow, there is music at the local coffee house for children and I'm hoping I can take my son as he loves it! God Willing, I will be able to... and perhaps just may force myself.

I am on Elavil 50 mgs and Mobic - neither of which are working very well. I don't take the Elavil unless I'm spending the night with family since I have a toddler. I'd like to try to manage my fibromyalgia without the use of heavy pain meds because they knock me out... can't be an effective mom when you are knocked out. I've got some heating pads that help with pain and would love to have one of those vests you put in the microwave... a whole suit would be best but I'll settle for the vest.

I can't work - I would LOVE to, but it is impossible to do so right now. I have more than half of my week where I am in pain and severely fatigued. I am going to have to bite the bullet and file for disability and I hate to do that.

Well, I'm going to try to sleep now - something I have trouble doing anyhow.

Blessings to you all!
