Emotions run high as visitors to the Brandenburg Gate truly understand the hardships that Germany has endured throughout history. One of the most influential and inspirational Germany attractions, the Brandenburg Gate attracts thousands of tourists every year. Once a structure composed as part of the world famous Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate is the only gate which remains of the 18 gates constructed by Carl Gotthard. In 1791, Carl Gotthard was commissioned to design and construct the 18 gates as part of a peace symbol. During the cold war, the Brandenburg Gate was incorporated as part of the Berlin Wall, but now remains individually, representing enduring peace and unity.

The Brandenburg Gate truly is a pillar of peace throughout Germany, as visitors realise this when they gaze upon the structure that is so breathtaking. The Brandenburg Gate can be seen at any time throughout your holiday in Germany, during the day or of an evening when the gate is lit, portraying its real beauty. When visiting the gate, you are sure to have a great experience, whether you visit during the day or at night, as both experiences provide their own unique benefits.

A number of tours throughout Germany will include a trip to the Brandenburg Gate, so be sure to check that yours does before booking. The Brandenburg Gate is a must see Germany attraction and viewing this masterpiece with a tour guide can provide you with a truly unforgettable experience.

Whether you are a history buff, interested in the war, or simply want to get the most out of your Germany holiday, the Brandenburg Gate is an attraction not to be missed.

The Holocaust Memorial is located closely to the Brandenburg Bridge in Berlin, Germany. A visit to this site can be very emotional for many people, as it is a dedication to the “Murdered Jews of Europe”. With World War II affecting millions of people around the world, emotions are known to run high at the Holocaust Memorial. The Holocaust Memorial is one of the most renowned Berlin attractions and is an experience not to be missed whilst visiting Germany.

The memorial has only recently been constructed and opened to the public in the year 2005. The memorial is set on a slanting field with concrete slabs which have been arranged to form a grid pattern. The uneven placement of the concrete pattern is said to create an uneasy and confusing atmosphere for visitors, as the designer did not want to create a pleasant memorial, rather a more realistic interpretation to depict a supposedly ordered system which does not represent the reality of humanity. Underneath the memorial, visitors can view the names of all of the people who lost their lives during the Jewish holocaust. The list of names was obtained from the Israeli museum, which is known to have the most detailed account of the lives that were lost.

The Holocaust Memorial provides a truly unique, once in a life time experience. Walking through the memorial, you will feel disorientated and not know what is in front of you or behind you. The memorial is quite a daunting experience, so if taking small children, recommendations would be to prepare them for what they will see before they arrive. Visiting The Holocaust Museum will be a truly moving experience and one that you will never forget.

There are hundreds of campgrounds in Germany, offering a wide range of experiences and Germany Attractions to be explored. Many of the most popular campgrounds are located in the Lüneburger Heide, the longest continuous stretch of forest in Europe.

The AZUR Cp-park Wertheim am Main is a popular choice, located near the Main River and within walking distance of the town of Wertheim. There is a nearby castle to explore and plenty of secluded areas to camp. Motorhomes are allowed and there are lighted paths through the campgrounds. There are complete washing and toilet facilities and there is a children’s play area.

The Campsite AZUR Cp. Ellwangen a.d. Jagst is located in Baden-Württemberg, about 50 km east of Stuttgart. While there are extensive options for fishing and water sports, the campground also includes an indoor heated pool as well as a large family recreation facility. Motorhomes are allowed, and there is Wifi and barbecues are permitted.

Knaus Campingpark Walkenried is located in the heart of rural Germany on the edge of the beautiful Harz natural area. The area is filled with natural lakes, extensive walking paths and other recreational options. An old monastery is located nearby and the campground includes a free indoor pool. Located by a lake, the campground includes washing and toilet facilities, as well as a restaurant and small grocery store.

Via Claudia Camping is located in the village of Lechbruck, just next to the Via Claudia Augusta, the only Roman road over the Alps. The facilities aren’t as extensive as some of the campgrounds in other areas, but the trade-off is that the views of the Alps are spectacular and the wildlife and forestry are unforgettable.

Germany attractions will leave you wanting more romance with your partner, surely you and your travel companion will have worked up good appetites and the thirst for a little romance. There is nothing more romantic than a quality Italian restaurant, and Munich’s Acquarello is resoundingly known as one of the best dinner spots in the Bavarian city.

Acquarello is, without a doubt, a fine example of upscale Italy – with fine wines, delicious sauces and pastas, a classy yet cosy atmosphere, and an attentive staff standing by to make your romantic evening exceptional. Or perhaps you and your partner have landed in the impressive port city of Hamburg for the evening.

Since you are in the mood for a little romance, make a reservation at Hamburg’s Au Quai, where you enjoy front row seats on the harbor’s waterfront and could also enjoy a moonlit wander along the water before or after dinner. In the warm weather seasons Au Quai offers a generous waterside terrance, and in off seasons an enchanting ambience indoors. The menu is an exciting fusion of styles from local seafoods and Mediterranean game and even Asian influences – everything about Au Quai oozes modern elegance and romance.

On the other hand, although known for its relaxed urban style, the cosmopolitan allure of Berlin should not be forgotten. An evening at Berlin’s (Mitte) Aigner will excite your senses, and is complete with an unforgettable old-fashioned Viennese decor. The modern menu provides new takes on old German classics like Bavarian ham and you and your significant other will be sure to love a tasty German Riesling.
