Covid 19
The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close 
 We are seeing a huge increase in the number of people falling sick with COVID-19. We must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives. 
Therefore, as well as public worship being suspended, this and all church buildings in the Church of England are now closed.
Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building. 

PCR2 
The Church of England is undertaking a second review of files held in all dioceses and parishes to ensure that churches and church related activities are as safe as possible for children and vulnerable adults. 
Known as the Past Cases Review 2, it aims to identify both good practice and institutional failings in the way that allegations of abuse have been handled in the past. It will also provide recommendations on how practice and processes can be improved. 
Individuals who wish to make representations to the PCR2 process, or who need to come forward with information, or make any disclosures regarding church related abuse, are encouraged to make direct contact with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) on 01636 817200 
or email safeguarding@southwell.anglican.org 
However, recognising that for those with a lived experience of abuse from within the church may not feel comfortable, a dedicated telephone helpline - 0800 80 20 20 - operated independently from the church, by the NSPCC, has been set up. Anyone can use the helpline to provide information or to raise concerns regarding abuse within the Church of England; whether they are reporting issues relating to children, adults or seeking to whistle blow about poor safeguarding practice.

Confirmation
Children's preparation for First Communion
There will be a short course for those interested in Confirmation. 
Sundays 3:30pm for about one and a half hours for 6 weeks. Begins on 1st March in church. 
If your child (7 or over) is interested in First Communion, please send us a message. No starting date yet, but we will keep you informed.

Each week a set of devotions will be produced and sent out to all on our mailing list (also to those without internet). We invite you to join with others at 10am (the usual service time) through Lady Bay in worship.
Worship Together From Home will also be published here on Saturdays.
Whether you are using our material or some other, we are filling Lady Bay with worship.

Messy Church
3:30 P.M Second Wednesday

Join us for our monthly family messy worship. There will be craft, a song and a story. Followed by a bring and share meal (bring a dish; big or small, sweet or savoury). This event is on for two hours.

As we continue this season in the life of our church without a vicar, we invite all members, friends and supporters of our church to join us in praying for the church through this time of transition.
You are welcome to join us as we meet together in our church to pray.
