They have limited feautres and use cheap storage to save cost.Compared wit our service, their services is like a USB external disk, and our service is like a server computer loaded with group file storage & sharing, automatic folder sync and web hosting/publishing services.DriveHQ offers great client software,web-based servics and group admin tools. It has 5 times more, better and easier features than other services.

Keep Your Wallpaper Fresh with Cross-Platform Wally

If you've moved to Windows 7 recently then you might have noticed various upgrade problems, interface issues and features that seem to have disappeared entirely, among many other complications with the new system.

Don't despair, though - while these problems can be really frustrating, answers are beginning to appear. We've uncovered some of the best and most effective solutions around, so follow our guide and your Windows 7 installation will soon be back on track.

18 cool things Windows 7 does that Vista doesn't

1. Vista upgrade hangs at 62%

Windows 7 can start causing problems before it's even installed, as many people report their upgrade hangs forever at 62%. Which is annoying.

Reboot, and your PC should roll back to Windows Vista. You can then open the setup log file \$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log to view what happened. Microsoft say this is usually caused because the Iphlpsvc service has stopped responding, and just adding an environment variable to ignore it will fix the problem. Point your browser at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/975253 for the fix.

If this doesn't help (or your upgrade hangs at something other than 62%) then browse the setup log for other clues. And you might also try to boot and install from the Windows 7 disc, if possible, as that reduces the chance of any conflict with your existing Vista (or XP) setup.

INSTALL WINDOWS 7: Windows 7 upgrades are usually quick, but sometimes it doesn't install at all

2. DVD drive not found

In some cases your DVD drive may not be found by Windows 7, even if it's visible in the BIOS and using the standard driver.

The standard solution here is to run REGEDIT, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\, then delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the right-hand pane (UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak entries can be ignored).

No change? Resetting the drive letter has worked for some. Click Start, type Disk Management and choose the "Create and format hard disk partitions" link. If your optical drive is visible here then right-click it, select Change Drive Letter and Paths, click Change and choose a new letter. If the drive is now visible in Explorer, then repeat the process to change the drive letter back; if it's still not visible, reboot and it should appear.

3. Aero isn't running

If Windows 7 isn't looking its best - transparency has been turned off, say - then the Aero theme may not have been fully enabled on your system. Click Start, type Aero, choose the "Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects" link, and click Next to launch the Aero troubleshooting wizard. It'll try to identify and resolve and problems. And if it doesn't, then install the latest driver for your graphics hardware. That could be all your system needs.

Some Aero features may be disabled in the Registry, though. For example, if Aero Peek (the ability to make open windows transparent to display your desktop underneath) doesn't work for you, then launch REGEDIT, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM and make sure EnableAeroPeek is set to 1, rather than 0.

NO AERO: Windows 7's troubleshooting wizards will fix many display problems while you watch

4. Aero Snap irritations

Windows 7's new ability to move and resize windows, all in one movement, can be a genuine productivity boost. But if you find windows moving around when you don't expect it then Aero Snap is more of an annoyance than anything else, though at least it's one you can disable in just a few seconds.

Launch Control Panel, click Ease of Access, and select either "Change how your mouse works" or "Change how your keyboard works". Then browse down to the "Make it easier to manage windows" section, check "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen", click OK, and program windows now won't go anywhere unless you specifically command it.

5. iPhone won't sync in Windows 7

Irritated iPhone users are beginning to report major difficulties in getting their iPhone to sync with Windows 7 systems. Particularly 64-bit Windows 7 systems, based around the P55 chipset. The iPhone is usually (though not always) recognised, but iTunes then complains that it can't connect to the unit because of an "unknown error", usually (though again, not always) 0xE8000065.

Disabling USB power management appears to be one solution. Click Start, type DEVMGMT.MSC and press [Enter] to launch Device Manager, then click View > Devices By Type. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section of the tree, right-click each USB Root Hub entry in turn, select Properties > Power Management, and clear "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Reboot your PC after this tweak and try again. This works for some, but if you're out of luck then check the Apple Discussions thread for other ideas.

SYNCING FEELING: iTunes on Windows 7 won't always see, or sync with, your iPod

6. Windows 7 themes change your custom icons

Windows 7 has some spectacular new themes - there's a great selection at the Microsoft site - but installing them can have one annoying side-effect. If you've previously changed a system icon like Computer or the Recycle Bin then that could disappear, replaced by the equivalent icon from the theme pack.

To prevent this, right-click an empty part of the desktop, select Personalize > Change Desktop Icons, clear the "Allow themes to change desktop icons" box and click OK. Your icons will now be preserved, and the only way to change them will be manually, from the same Desktop Icons dialogue.

7. Taskbar problems

We like the new Windows 7 taskbar, but many people seem less than impressed with the new approach to taskbar buttons, finding it difficult to tell at a glance whether an icon is a running application or a pinned shortcut. If this sounds like you then there's an easy way to restore more standard taskbar buttons, though - right-click the taskbar, select Properties, and set Taskbar Buttons to "Never combine" or "Combine when taskbar is full".

You can even restore the old Quick Launch toolbar in just a few clicks. Simply right-click the taskbar, click Toolbars > New Toolbar, type %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch in the folder box and click Select Folder. The Quick Launch toolbar should then reappear, and you can move and resize it to suit your needs.

STANDARD TASKBAR: Just a few seconds work and your taskbar has that retro look

8. Missing Explorer folders

Click Start > Computer in Windows 7 and you'll find system folders like Control Panel and the Recycle Bin are no longer displayed in the left-hand Explore pane. This seems like a backward step to us, but there's a quick solution. Click Tools > Folder Options, check "Show all folders", click OK and all your top-level system folders will reappear.

9. Missing applets

Windows 7 installs quickly and takes up less hard drive space than you might expect, but in part that's down to cheating - Mail, Movie Maker, Photo Gallery and other applets are no longer bundled with a standard Windows installation. Instead you must download the programs you need from the Windows Live Essentials site.

Installing Live Essentials will also get you potentially unnecessary extras, though, like an ActiveX control to help in uploading files to Windows Live SkyDrive. And the Windows Live Sign-In Assistant, which can be useful if you want to switch between multiple Windows Live accounts. If you have only one Windows Live account, and no plans to use Live SkyDrive, then these can safely be removed from the Control Panel Uninstall A Program applet.

TAKE YOUR PICK: You can install as many, or as few of the Live Essentials programs as you like

10. Too many minidumps

By default Windows 7 now keeps the last 50 minidump files (memory images saved when your PC crashes). If you're keen on using dump files to troubleshoot crashes then this is good news, but if you've no interest in that kind of advanced debugging then minidumps are just a waste of your valuable hard drive space. In which case you should run REGEDIT, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl, and set MiniDumpsCount to 1. Windows will only now keep the last dump file and you'll free up a little hard drive space.

11. HP Multifunction Printer problems

If you've an HP multifunction printer with its "Full Feature Software solution" or "Basic Driver solution" installed then, after upgrading to Windows 7, you may find the printer stops working. Press the buttons on the front of the printer and nothing will happen; launch the software manually and you'll see reports that it can't connect to your hardware.

The problem is that a few files and Registry entries have been lost in the migration to Windows Vista, and even reinstalling the original HP software won't help. Fortunately there's a new version of HP Solution Center that should get everything working again, though, and you can find out more about it at the HP support site.

12. Hidden extensions

And, of course, no list of Windows annoyances would be complete without a mention of Explorer's default settings, which even in Windows 7 remain to hide file extensions, as well as system files and folders.

To fix this, launch Explorer and click Tools > Folder Options > View.

Clear the "Hide extensions for known file types" to show file extensions, reducing the likelihood that you'll accidentally double-click on virus.txt.exe in future.

And as long as there are no novice users on your system who might go poking around in Explorer, we'd also choose to "Show hidden files and folders" as well as clear the "Hide protected operating system files" box. It's often important to see these files when you're troubleshooting, or following problem-solving instructions from someone else.

The Top Windows 7 Tips and Tricks List

It’s been replaced with a much nicer system. Download a font and double-click it (you’ll be greeted with the familar font window, but you should notice it now has a ‘Install’ button).

Windows 7 now includes Gabriola. This is an elaborate display typeface that takes advantage of OpenType layout to create a variety of stylistic sets.

If you press Windows + 1, it will create a new instance of the first icon in the task bar. This is handy if you do a lot of coding and need to open several instances of a program.

If you right-click on a Taskbar icon, it brings up the much talked about Jump List. However, the same can be done by clicking with the left mouse button and dragging the icon “out” (so to speak). This was specifically designed for touch-enabled computers, such as your lovely HP TouchSmart PC.

To run a program as an Administrator, it’s now as easy as holding CTRL + SHIFT when you open the application.

With Windows 7, you can now create a ‘System Repair Disc.’ This is a CD bootable version of Windows 7 that includes the command prompt and a suite of system tools. Very handy for those really tough spots (which, with this still in beta, could be just around the corner). To get to this, simply open the Start Menu and type: “system repair disc” in the search field.

The Top Windows 7 Tips and Tricks List

By Mark Berger

Should one use Windows Update?

This topic has good and valid arguments on both sides. Some would say keeping your windows up to date is essential in keeping it free of the newest, worst viruses and the like. Others would say that updating your windows is overemphasized, unneeded and a waste of time.

In the future, Microsoft will have ways of detecting whether your version of windows is actually store-bought, or pirated. With so many copies of pirated windows on the market, such a move by Microsoft is almost required in order to continue cornering the OS market. For instance, when SP 1 (and 2) came out, you had to have an authentic windows serial code in order to download the update. There are of course ways of getting around this, but it deterred much illegal upgrading to the new service packs. Had you have had a pirated copy of windows (and the majority does), then you could have downloaded a copy of windows SP 1/2, but you would have had to completely re-install and possibly format in order to install it.

If you had an original windows serial code that came with the product, you could have just downloaded the packs from the windows update servers.

So yes, having a non-pirated copy of windows is a convenience. However, some would remember a stunning virus that was released not too long ago; MyDoom. It managed to find its ways onto the Microsoft windows update servers. When you got the virus, you would have 30 seconds before the computer shut down. Should you have formatted, just to re-install windows with automatic updates turned on (and they are by default) you would get the virus again.

And not to mention Windows Updates are a large time factor. Some updates (especially the first time you use Windows Update) are colossal, and the download speeds are not always at their greatest. Someone on 56k would have a very hard time using windows update at all (and if you do, I recommend not bothering).

Now, you ask, what exactly is Windows Update? It's simply Microsoft engineers working hard to fix bugs, problems and backdoors in Windows. What are these problems, you ask? Well, when Microsoft released windows it wasn't exactly a perfect OS. With every version of Windows, it becomes more and more hi-tech. But there has always been problems with Windows being insecure.

The only way to find that Windows has a certain vulnerability is first for that vulnerability to be exploited. Eg, Microsoft using white hat hackers (the good guys) to breach windows, or for a hacker to break into a version of Windows and it is reported.

So, to answer the question, is it important to update your windows? It's hard to say, without the answer being a biased opinion. I will give both sides of the argument merit, but it honestly depends on what you want to do with your PC. For large businesses with intranets, windows updates are likely a good idea. It only takes one serious OS fault for a hacker or a bad virus to leak in and infect the whole network. Windows faults and security issues, IE backdoors, etc. Windows update constantly has fixes for these problems.

For a home desktop, even for a home network, windows updates really aren't that important. No one wants to hack the small guy; there is nothing to gain from it. Should you use a simple firewall, even the windows in-house firewall, you are protected from most threats. But big business is always at risk; major websites are constantly under the gun from DoS attacks and IE "tricks." Windows Updates cannot really help DoS attacks, but they can prevent hackers, crackers, viruses and the like from entering their network computers from faults in the windows code.

So to answer the question - should I use windows update? If you've got a lot of infrastructure you want to protect, yes. If you're a small guy, one PC at home, one laptop; even a few computers thrown together in your home network. The answer is no. I don't recommend it, anyway. Just throw on your windows firewall, Black Ice Defender, Norton, Avast....what have you. And enjoy browsing. That's about it.

I am a young, aspiring computer engineer into Internet Marketing, hardware, software, web design, SEO and just about anything related to computers.

Taking advantage of new technologies is quite useful, but just like with everything new you have to know the little tricks that can make it work better. There is a lot of hype about Windows 7 at the moment and this excitement is not unreasonable. The new version of the most widely used computer operational program has numerous innovative and useful features. Still, you will need some aid when adjusting the new programs to work with your PC.

There are available programs that are compatible and will work with Windows 7 allowing you to activate and use the majority of essential features of DreamScenes. You need to have Aero first, in order to activate this program. Those who have difficulties in installing this software program can also use a variety of tricks in order to solve their problem.

One of the most useful tweaks you can use in order to boost the performance of Windows 7 is to disable the file search function. A lot of tech gigs recommend this solution and it really works. You just have to have organized your files well, which most of us do anyway. Do not miss to reboot your computer after you are done in order for the change to take effect.

It might be surprising for some, but in reality the large number of fonts that come with Windows 7 exploit extensively the resources of the system. Again to boost and speed up its performance you can remove the ones that you do not use. Just make sure to make back up of the fonts and remove the unnecessary ones only after-wards.

All users of Windows 7 have to take advantage of the superb Problem Steps Recorder feature. This tool will show you where the errors are in a manner that even a novice in operating computers will understand. This feature is invaluable to all users who want a reliable and quick solutions to their problems when working on their PC. It also benefits administrators, even those in large companies, to work more effectively.

You will also have to take care of the look of your screen. You do not have to constrain yourself to using one wallpaper only. It is more beneficial to have a slide show instead. All you have to do is to select the Personalize feature when clicking on the desktop and pick Desktop Background. Then you can add as many images as you like to the exciting slide-show.

You can find the exact steps of installing DreamScenes and Aero with Windows 7 on http://www.windows7start.com/. This superb website helped me immensely when I started using the new software. Do not miss to advantage of the excellent Windows 7 technical support.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Humayun_Altaf

My Favorite Windows 7 Tips and Tricks So Far | By Jim Bakic

I have been using Windows 7 Ultimate now for about 3 weeks on my main work computer, and so far, I love it. It's fast, stable and has a lot of very cool new features. The new task bar is just great, it makes it real easy to switch between applications when you keep several open at once like I do. I have started to discover a few tips and tricks to help me get the most from Windows 7, and I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.

Problem Steps Recorder - Having no idea how to clearly describe what's going on when your computer acts up to your support guru is frustrating, but Microsoft is willing to help. Windows 7 includes an excellent new solution in the Problem Steps Recorder.

When any application starts misbehaving under Windows 7 then all you need to do is click Start, type PSR and press Enter, then click Start Record. Work through whatever you've been doing and Problem Steps Recorder will record every click and key press, take screen grabs, and package everything up into a single zipped MHTML file when they're finished, ready for emailing to your favorite geek. It's quick, easy and effective, and will save you and your geek hours of troubleshooting time.

Switch to a projector - Windows 7 now provides a standard way to switch your display from one monitor to another, or a projector. Just press Win+ and choose your preferred display. (This will have no effect if you've only one display connected.) Especially handy when using a laptop to give a presentation.

Right-click everything - At first glance Windows 7 bears a striking resemblance to Vista, but there's an easy way to begin spotting the differences - just right-click things. Right-click an empty part of the desktop, for instance, and you'll find a menu entry to set your screen resolution. No need to go browsing through the display settings any more. Right-click the Explorer icon on the task bar for speedy access to common system folders: Documents, Pictures, the Windows folder, and more.

Minimize quickly with shake - If you have multiple windows open on your desktop and things are getting too cluttered, it used to be a time-consuming process to close them all down. In Windows 7 you can use the Aero Shake feature to minimise everything in seconds, using a cool mouse gesture. Grab the title bar of the window you wish to keep open and give it a shake, and rejoice in a clear desktop area.

Jump Lists - Right click on a program icon on your task bar, and it displays not only an open this program and unpin command, but a list of the most recent files opened in the program. Select one and it opens the program with that file open in one click. No more File, Open, Browse! The jump list for IE displays a list of the most often visited sites so you can open them in one click as well.

Create folder favorites - If you're regularly working on the same folder in Explorer then select it in the right-hand page, right-click Favorites on the left-hand menu, and select Add to Favorites. It'll then appear at the bottom of the favorites list for easy one-click access later.

Libraries - Another method of quickly browsing to specific places in your file structure are libraries. By default, Windows 7 comes with a documents, music, pictures and video library. You can create your own (like customers) by right clicking the left pane where it says Libraries and selecting New -> Library. Once there, right click the new library and select properties, include a folder and click OK. You may also add multiple folders to a library as well as optimize it for certain file types.

Window management - you can "dock" a window to the left or right half of the screen by simply dragging it to the edge; similarly, you can drag the window to the top of the screen to maximize it, and double-click the window top / bottom border to maximize it vertically with the same horizontal width. This is invaluable if you frequently have 2 documents open side by side while working (like I do). These actions are also available with keyboard shortcuts:

Win+Left Arrow and Win+Right Arrow dock;
Win+Up Arrow and Win+Down Arrow maximizes and restores / minimizes;
Win+Shift+Up Arrow and Win+Shift+Down Arrow maximizes and restores the vertical size.

This side-by-side docking feature is particularly invaluable on wide screen monitors - it makes the old Windows way of shift-clicking on two items in the task bar and then using the context menu to arrange them feel really painful.

These are some of the tips I've found most useful so far on my Windows 7 adventure. What are some tips you've discovered? Are you looking for an easier way to do something? Let me know and I'll share them in a future article.

Jim Bakic
My Blog: http://www.jimbakic.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jim_Bakic

Windows 7 Windows Resizing Tricks

Windows 7 has some nice windows resizing tricks. It also retains some of the tricks introduced in Vista, that you may not know about, even if you are a regular Vista user.

New to Windows 7 are title bar mouse gestures.

You can maximize a window just by dragging it off the top of the screen, which is great. You can restore the window by dragging the title bar down, which is even better.

If you want to move the window, you can start from a maximized window and just drag it to where you want it. Before you had to restore it first, then move it. With Windows 7, when you drag the window down, it restores, then you just keep dragging it to where you want it.

Drag a window off the edge of the screen, and the window resized to half the screen. Drag another window off the other side of the screen, and you now have two documents arranged neatly side by side.

There is another nice full height trick. Drag the top edge of a window beyond the top of the screen, and it automatically resizes to the full height of the screen, without changing the width. You can also drag the bottom of the window down if you prefer.

Right-clicking the taskbar gives you more windows arrangement features which were also available in Vista. You can arrange up to three windows side by side, or stacked one above the other. More than that and the arrangement is less neat, but you still may find it useful.

You may not have been aware of this feature even in Vista. Previous versions of Windows had something similar, but it worked with all running applications. Since Vista, it works with only open windows, so you can minimize all the windows you don't want to arrange, then work with the rest, making these functions actually useful.

Doug Samuel writes Windows 7 Journal, a site about Windows 7.

Get a Free Windows 7 report.

Copyright 2009 Douglas Samuel.

Windows 7 is the newest update to the Windows operating system. While many people haven't been all that impressed with Vista, a lot of people are looking forward to Windows 7. This will be the newest installment to the Windows platforms and this one is quite promising. This version will have a lot of new features, shortcuts, tricks, and tips that will make the transition from Vista to Windows 7 a lot smoother despite some changes.

Some of the most impressive changes will have to do with touch screen capabilities as well as handwriting recognition capabilities. Of course, these are not the only features, but these are garnering much attention. Would you have any idea how to make these applications work for you? Online Windows 7 training is the way to go if you want to learn the new version of Windows without taking any time away from your regular responsibilities and such.

Many people like the idea of online Windows 7 training because they can get the training when it is most convenient for them. Whether you can fit it in during your lunch, before work in the morning, or after you're in bed for the night, you can get online and get your training. You don't need to travel to a learning center or be anywhere specific, you can get the information that you need to succeed with the changes that are being made to Windows when it is most convenient for you. Computer based training is very popular right now and that is because it allows for you to get the information you need to do well without being inconvenienced.

Another option is to seek out Windows 7 training videos. These can be found online or you can order them from Microsoft. Training videos are often very helpful because they illustrate points better than many other teaching mediums. If there is something that you don't understand or need to understand better, a training video will allow you to see for yourself how to employ certain tricks or tips or make the program work the way you need it to.

As you can see, there are some very convenient ways for you to get your Windows 7 training. You don't need to simply wait for it to be released to the general public, you can be ahead of the game and start getting your information now so when it is released and you install it on your computer you will be ready to hit the ground running. You may even find that you take some pride in being the only person in your social group or at your place of employment that knows how to work the new version. Top 11 Reasons You Do

You might think you're saving money and showing good business sense by using the free Web space that comes from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Alternatively, you may have gotten a friend to give you a subdomain, meaning your URL would like something like "yourname.theirname.com." Perhaps you don't have a standalone Web site at all, but have drafted your Facebook and/or MySpace pages into service, making them your de facto Web presence.

This doesn't show good business sense at all. It shows that you are cheap, shortsighted and unimaginative, and those are about the three most unappealing traits anyone could want to project in any business climate-much less a recessionary one that demands first-rate customer service and creative thinking.

Here are 11 of 1001 reasons

There are so many reasons to have your own Web host, custom URL and well-crafted Web pages that it's hard to pick the "top 11." The following, in no particular order, should be compelling enough to get you moving in the right direction.

#1- You'll save time.

You might think that using your ISP's cookie-cutter site-building tools save you time by getting down to the basics. Wrong. You will spend a ton of time trying to make those underpowered "click 'n' pick" page builders do what you need. Creating your own pages, with great tools that range from freeware to the gold standard Adobe Dreamweaver, will get you what you really need, and fast.

#2- Prices are low, low, low.

There are dozens of Web hosting companies, and over the last five years we have gotten to the point that $10-a-month hosting accounts have the storage space and bandwidth that $100 accounts did. A full-blown e-commerce site that would have cost hundreds of dollar several years ago gets the same functionality today for a fraction of that amount.

#3- The site will be you, you, you.

The ticky-tacky, "same old thing" appearance of freebie ISP pages will kill any hopes of individuality or flair. With a real Web hosting package, one that allows you to upload whatever kind of pages you like, you project a unique identity. You will look like you, not another clone of a template from a click 'n ' pick site builder.

#4- Choose your own name.

How seriously will your firm be taken with the name "members.myfirm.host.com"? Name your own site by buying your own domain and hosting it with a professional firm. If you're pressed for time, some firms will handle all of it for you-domain registration, name servers, hosting, e-mail - the whole ten yards.

#5- Mobility and options.

Many professionals rent office space even though they work primarily from home. They do this for the "look" and effect. Today, the first thing most clients and customers are going to see is your Web site, not your office waiting room. You can meet clients for lunch, go to their offices or rent a meeting room if you need to, and save that extra expense.

#6- Help is available.

Your ISP won't help you with your freebie site beyond posting a FAQ page, if that much. A paid host, on the other hand, is in business to be of service, so if you can't get your Flash intro page to work, they will actually talk to you and give you advice.

#7- You get great resources, too.

Hosting companies will put everything you need in the way of free tools, plug-ins, how-to articles and even sales/marketing assistance into one central location. You don't have to hunt all over cyberspace for the answer to your streaming media question. You will find the answer easily.

#8- Easy adaptation to changes.

You can do as much or as little with your space as you like. If you need special functionality, like true e-commerce capabilities or embedded videoconferencing, you can add it quickly. You need as much flexibility and control as you can get, and you don't get it for free. On the other hand, it doesn't cost that much now, either.

#9- Ever expanding choice of hosts.

If you start feeling cramped by your host's plans, you can move elsewhere, quickly and cost-effectively. There is so much competition in this area that you'll never run out of options. Don't like the service? Move in minutes.

#10- Stay updated, automatically.

When you use a top-rated host, you know that they will be upgrading their hardware and software continuously. You will always have the latest and greatest infrastructure behind your company. Freebie packages just can't compete.

#11- It just keeps getting better.

Not only does the infrastructure keep getting better, the deals do, too. You can update and upgrade your hosting plan on an ongoing basis with little effort. Adding up all the foregoing reasons, the fact that it just keeps getting better should be the "cherry on top" and seal the deal. The truth is, there is absolutely no good reason not to have a hosted account, unless you're just playing around anyway. If you're in business to succeed, there's only one way to go, and that's with a hosted account.

Amy Armitage is the head of Business Development for Lunarpages.

For any online business to do well it is essential to have a good web host for the website. Through a good web host you can ensure good quality of your website and this will help you get more business and clients which will certainly increase your market share and thus help you earn more profits. A fast and error free site is bound to attract more and more visitors which is very essential for one to be successful.

The task to find a good web hosting company is a daunting task and this can be very difficult many times. The first step to find a good website host is to read reviews about the different companies offering such services. There are many web hosting reviews available. The websites accept the reviews from the users even though it is negative. One can get to know the truth and the facts about the website hosting companies.

While reading a review one should always check the rank of the website on search engines like Google. With this one can get an idea of how authentic the review is and this will help you to understand if you need to trust the source of the article or not. Another way to check the review is by checking its domain name. With the domain name one can also check the authenticity of the company.

It is extremely essential to check that how many pages of the website are indexed on Google. Apart from this one also needs to check the affiliate links of the site. If the URL of the site is different from affiliated links, then it is most likely to be an affiliate link.

One should carefully read the negative reviews of the site. It is not possible to have all positive reviews of nay site. Some user at any point is bound to have faced a problem with the services. If there are only positive reviews available there is bound to be a problem and something is fishy for sure. If one gets impressed by all positive reviews the chances that you will face problems in the website and eventually will end up losing your business from clients.

Another way to see web hosting reviews is to become a member of a forum which has active members who take part in discussions taking place. The members in many forums are very helpful and honest and give good suggestions to you and solve your problems. This helps one to take decisions about the company, the services of which should be availed. One should not get swayed by reviews, one should sensibly decide which company to choose for one of the most important tasks of hosting your website.

Rich Vial is a webmaster for Hostgator Review.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Rich_Vial

Have an Expertise Web Hosting Service Provider For Your Business

A dedicated server or the dedicated hosting service is a kind of internet hosting or web hosting in which the clients will not the server with any one and leases the entire server. This is more flexible when compared with shared hosting as the companies will be having full control over their servers, along with the choice of the hardware and the operating system.

The administration of the server is generally provided by the hosting company only as an added service. In some instances dedicated server will offer larger returns on investment and less overhead. These servers are mostly used in data centers that are similar to the collocation facilities that provide HVAC systems and the redundant power sources. Different from the collocation, the provider owns the server hardware and also provides the support for the applications and the operating system in some of the cases.

The operating system that is offered with the DS is based on the price, availability and employee familiarity. Variations of Linux are included generally at no cost, while for the commercial operating systems, they charge fee at monthly basis. The commercial systems include dual core dedicated servers, quad core dedicated servers and Microsoft windows server etc. The support for the operating system depends typically on the management levels with a specific plan of the server.

The support to the OS may include core system updates for acquiring the latest patches, security fixes, and system wide susceptibility resolutions. The core OS updates include service packs, kernel upgrades, security patches and application updates that keep server safe and secure. The support and updates of the operating system will relieve the burden of managing the server from the owner of the dedicated server.

The providers of this hosting will make use of extreme security measures for ensuring the data safety on their network of servers. They often install several software programs to scan networks and systems for spammers, obtrusive invaders, hackers and many other harmful problems like the worms, Trojans, crashers, and egg drops. Windows and Linux employ different software for protecting the security.

The providers also offer to select the software that you want to install on DS. This includes database, OS, and specific applications depending on the overall usage of server. Most DS's also have control panel packaged with it.

Today, my mother bought her first domain name -- and with it, she bought her first web hosting plan. Since I happen to make my living online, it was definitely my duty to help her through what could have been a daunting task. You see, one of her website goals is to have a few different websites that she'll use to create a small "family of websites" -- one will be a blog; one will be a website that has coupons for different stores at which she and her friends like to shop; and one will be a forum for seniors.

After discussing with her the options she had regarding web hosting companies and web hosting plans, it was obvious that she should choose a host with a plan that supported unlimited domains.

What this means is that you can buy an unlimited amount of domain names, and have those domains hosted on one server under one plan. So, in essence, after purchasing such a plan, you could buy a domain name every day from here on out, and never have to buy hosting again. You can host every last one of those domains with your one hosting plan.

Here are 3 advantages to choosing such a web hosting plan.

1. Convenience

I, myself, have a web hosting plan with unlimited domains. It is incredibly convenient to be able to go to one central administrative control panel to select from the seven websites I have. I can create new email addresses for three different websites within the same control panel if I need to. I can add WordPress to one site and Joomla! to another all without leaving my singular control panel.

Because my plan holds unlimited domains, I can also reach the actual server directories for all of my different websites via ftp by logging in just once. This is very time efficient for me because if I need to add images to two or three different sites, I can do it much more quickly than if I had to log in and out two or three times.

2. Reliability

I won't say who my hosting company is, but they are VERY reliable. And I feel confident that all of my websites are in good hands. My mother chose the same company for her hosting plan, and her websites will be in good hands as well.

When you have a reliable web hosting company that offers unlimited domain hosting, that means that you can rest easy knowing that all of your sites will be maintained with the same level of service and professionalism.

If your web hosting company has an impressive uptime (how much time your website will be up online for everyone to see), that means ALL of your sites benefit from that feature. Having all of your domains hosted on different servers increases your chances of experiencing downtimes because there are more servers to potentially experience problems.

3. Affordability

Last but not least, web hosting plans with unlimited domain hosting are usually very affordable. It is not uncommon for you to be able to purchase such a hosting plan for under $10 per month.

Depending on how many sites you plan on creating, buying a plan with unlimited domains could save you literally thousands of dollars.

THIS was the advantage that convinced my mother to go the unlimited domain route. The other advantages are just bonuses in her eyes.

You can find out more about hosting plans by checking out these reviews of web hosting companies.

To choose the web hosting plan that's right for you, click here - > The-Best-Webhosting.com

- Lance

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Lance_V._Serafico

Best Free Blog Hosts

When you have decided to start blogging, you will most likely start by using the platform that some other blogger that you respect is using. If he or she has been using WordPress.com you will most likely think that this is the best free blog host that there is and will register with an account and start using it. If he or she has been using blogger.com you are most likely going to use that.

Many bloggers have started using self hosted blogs because they come in quite cheap these days. You can get a hosting account for as little as $2 a month and an .info domain name for less than a dollar a year. That way you will have total control over your blog, but in most cases no-one will ever find your blog. This is where the free blog hosts are superior - they already have an active community of people who like to read others, and you are more likely to be read by someone in that community.

Unfortunately most of the free blog hosts have terms and conditions that do not allow you to customize your blog to an extent that it would satisfy most of their users, and this is causing many people to start with a free blog host, and then move to their own hosting. The best one, which allows you to customize your template and even display your own advertisement on the blog, is blogger.com that is owned by Google. It has also been said that it is readily found in the search engines for that reason.

Finding the best free blog hosts might not be as easy as it should be. Take a look at my guide about free blogging and find out if it is the best alternative for you, or should you go with an affordable paid hosting account.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Phil_Laupher

Web Hosting With No Credit Card Required

Let's face it, trying to find affordable web hosting is hard enough, but it can be even harder if you don't have a credit card. Since most hosting companies require a credit card to open an account you may feel limited in your choices. Don't fret, though. There are actually quite a few different options available for hosting that don't require a credit card to get up and running. Let's take a look at some of your choices.

Free Hosting

One option that you have if you don't want to use a credit card is to go with a free web hosting service. Obviously this is an appealing choice since you don't have to pay for hosting at all, let alone with credit. However, there are some downsides to free hosting as well. First, many companies require you to place their advertisements on your site which can detract from the look of your web pages and slow down loading times. Second, many companies that offer free hosting place too many sites on their servers which can lead to unreliable service or slow load times. Finally, there is typically very little customer support with free hosting account which can be difficult if you run into problems. However, it is an option and if you look around you can find some great free services out there.

Free Blogs

If you are just putting together a personal site instead of a business site you may want to consider trying a free blogging platform. There are quite a few to choose from although the most popular are probably Blogger and Wordpress. The advantage of blogs is that they are very easy to update and don't require a lot of knowledge of HTML. You can be up and running in no time and can add pages to your site with ease. However, typically with free blogging services you can't use your own domain name. This can make it harder to share your website address with others and can leave you with a long, unmemorable URL.

E-Checks or Paper Checks

Some hosting companies accept payment by electronic check or by debiting your bank account. This is a nice option if you don't have a credit card. However, some people avoid this option because they are leary of sharing their bank account information online. If you do decide to go this route be sure to choose a reliable company with a good reputation.

Paper checks are also an option with some hosting companies. The only drawback to this option is that you have to physically mail in a check each month. If your check is lost in the mail or arrives too late the hosting company can take your site down until the payment is received. Down time can harm your site's reputation and can lead to lost business or revenue.

PayPal

Many hosting companies accept PayPal payments which is a safe, convenient option. PayPal is an online payment processor that allows you to submit payments without sharing your financial information with the company you are paying. This makes it safer than submitting your bank account info directly to a hosting company but still allows you to pay without a credit card. Plus, it gives you the option of paying online rather than having to worry about mailing in a check each month.

Unlike free hosting or free blogs, when you pay for hosting with PayPal you can run your site under your own domain name and won't have to display advertisements on your page. Of all the options for obtaining hosting with no credit card, paying with PayPal is probably the most convenient, safest and most versatile.

For a listing of web hosting companies that accept PayPal including cost comparisons, reviews and details of each hosting plan, please visit http://paypal.topratedwebsitehosts.com

Good Luck!

Sandy

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Sandy_Curtis

Multiple Domain Hosting to Host Distinct Websites Under Single Account

As a result, there is no need to operate on different hosting accounts for different internet domains. You can transfer all website domains to a single account and make the management of each one of them simpler than before. Here are few good aspects of having a multiple domain hosting account.

Managing Completely Distinct Websites

Multiple domain hostsllows an individual to host websites belonging to different niches from a single account. Thus, along with your business website, you can also use the hosting services to host the website you designed as a travel guide to your country and one you use for blogging. Apart from them, forums, discussion websites, social networking websites and all other types of websites can be managed using a single hosting account.

Management of Available Resources

Rather than managing individual resources for different internet domains hosted on different servers, you can use the resources of a single server to host various websites. For instance, it is your wish how much disk space you wish to allocate to your business website and how much to your blogging website.

Cost Effective Solution

Once you decide to host different websites on a single server using domain host packages, you can find companies offering huge discounts on these packages. Moreover, you are saved from paying individual prices to different companies for availing individual hosting services for every website. You can experience good cost saving with domain host.

Linking of Websites

It is convenient and less time consuming to link one of your websites with another and promote each other mutually, when you buy a multiple domain hosting package. Rather than logging in and out different hosting accounts, you only have to remember the login details of a single website hosting account.

In order to achieve all the benefits of multiple domain hosting, it is important to get these packages from a reputed web hosting company.

Multiple domain hosting can be appropriate for individuals with many websites. But, choosing between shared hosting and dedicated web hosting for a single website should be a careful decision. Visit WebHostgear.com to seek guidance on this.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Mize_Russell

3 Easy Steps to Get a Website

You are ready to get your own website. To make it easy for you I have broken it down into three very simple steps; the three steps are:

1. Creating a website
2. Hosting a website (which includes a domain name)
3. Public the website.

With these 3 basic steps you will not go through the hassles that many newbie go through.

Creating a website: First thing is to create a website. This has to do with web design and development. It requires expertise in the field of web development. Which means you have to use any of the editors available e.g Notepad, edit plus etc. If you are not a web designer then you have other option apart from the fact that you can get a web designer to do the job for you. You can also use Open source applications without having any prior programming expertise. Below are some content management systems. Most web host providers give this service free when you sign up for a host account.

Host your website: This is the second stage of getting a website. Before hosting your website you need to buy a domain. A domain is the name of the website you want to host. They go for as low as $4.99 depending on the extension you are going for, though a large number of hosts offer free domain with every host package. After getting a domain, the next step is for you to host it. This means having a place where to can store the files and direct the domain to it. Every host includes a specified amount of space and bandwidth. The larger your website, the more space you are going to need. In the same vain the bigger your traffic (number of visitors to your website), the more bandwidth you will be required to have.

Upload your file (publish your website) : This is the final step and after this step your website will be ready for the thronging of visitors. This has to do with transferring the site that you have designed from your local host to your web host account. In order to do this you can either use your host accounts in-house file manager, but this is often slow and poor. The best way to transfer your files is to download one of the easy to use ftp clients out there, e.g. cute ftp, smart ftp etc. After doing this next step is to login into your ftp account. Your username and password can be created inside your control panel. Then finally you can now transfer your files.

If you follow these simple steps then getting a web site will be very easy thing, even thought you will learn loads of new things along the way.

Start your web host search at http://www.besthostlead.com
Learn more about web hosting at http://www.besthostlead.blogspot.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=James_Orji

Web Hosting - Tips For the Newbies

The common problem for people who are just new in web hosting is that they are just looking for the low cost hosting service. Yes! Definitely it is part of the line, but there are still several things you must need to consider aside from the cost.

For those who are just new in this business, it is a service that allows individual or organization to make their own website accessible via world wide web. This service helps people from creating to managing and securing the site. Well, of course for those beginners, this is difficult to do, that is why there are web hosting companies that are available to help you. So, here are some tips for the newbies that you may keep while looking for a company to host your site.

* First tip is, you must know where you want to hire a web hosting company and where most of your customers are, so that it will be easy for you to make a list. Let say for example, you chose Philippines, then you make a list of web hosting companies found in the Philippines, so that, your website will have a faster load and if ever they will be a problem on your site, they can easily manage it. It is better that your website loads fast, for the benefits of your customers.

* You also do a background checking. Why do you need to do a background checking? Well, you must know how they render their service. If they had a lot of positive feedback from heir customers, well, that is good. This will be your evidence if they are rendering a good quality service for their customers.

* You need to know what the features they offers. Like the bandwidth/ data transfer, Up time, Guarantees & Refunds, Storage Space, and Secure Web Hosting, etc. This is important so that you will know that your site will run well.

* The security of your website is also important. Do not assure to yourself that if you have your business in the internet, it will be 100% secure, well problems can still occur, like viruses and unwanted messages that may affect he transfer of your data. The web hosting company that you will choose must secure your site all the time.

The most important thing is you must assure to yourself that your website will suits all your ideas correctly. Do not be fool by the promos the company offers, they may just be their way to attract you. You can also try the "money back guarantee" because you can have the assurance that they can give what you want for your site.

The author writes web hosting articles to help people get cheap webhosting in the Philippines.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Sarah_De_Lara

This and That - Ways to Make Free Easy Money Online

Bear in mind that your blog will not gain any profit in its initial few months. You need to exert effort to gain more readers and for your site to earn profit.

Freelance Work

Another way to earn an income online is by doing freelance work. If you are knowledgeable with writing, programming, web linking, or site design, you can use these skills to make money as a freelancer. Sites like craiglist offer several job opportunities on a daily basis. Most of them are done on a per-project basis so you can expect an income once the job is completed. Other sites that offer freelancing work include elance and freelancewriting.com.

Online Business

Another way of making making on the Internet is by setting up an online store. If a visitor is interested, they may directly pay through your bank account or via PayPal. Ebay, Multiply, or Cafepress are the popular online stores.

Free ways to make money online may also include answering paid surveys. Big companies usually solicit the help of survey firms to do trend analysis for them who in turn employ individuals to answer online surveys. If you are in luck and the company is handling several accounts, then it is likely that you will fill up more questionnaires, which translates to more income on your part.

Are you an expert in a certain topic? Then make money from being an online tutor. Here you simply make a video and create text for viewing by your potential students. A private tutorial is one wherein you are face to face with your student using a web camera.

With so many free ways to make money online, there is no reason for you not to be able to take advantage of the money making potential of the Internet.

Work from home jobs are usually the best ways to earn money online. While there are many online jobs such as medical transcriptions, freelance writing, data entry, and surveys, the most recommended among them is putting your own business online. In this way, a person can manage all the resources and the activities in the website. Besides, there are many networking portals that connect people from various places if the person has no time to set up his or her own site.

There are five basic steps in the process of setting a business online that can be undertaken to earn money online. First, find out what are the preferences of customers nowadays. The trend in the market can illustrate the needs and wants of the potential clients. Among the simple things that can be sold are apparels, stationery, gifts, and souvenir items. Other than products that can be offered are outsourced services. Second, determine where the supply will come from. Companies who are into wholesale offer lower prices than those into retail. However, the main tradeoff is that in retail; even a small amount of investment can launch a business. After being decided on the items and having defined the products, one has to set up the website or sign up for networking sites. For instance, the owner can sign up for Facebook and display the photos of products in there. Invite friends and acquaintances to view the profile or even make it a fan profile. Then, when orders start to come in, profit will be earned. The mode of delivery of products can be via airmail or other companies that offer such transfer service. The cost of sending the orders to the place of the customer can be included in the price of the merchandise already posted. If the business begins to prosper, one may opt to expand and add more products. Lastly, improve the visual display of the products. Be artistic in demonstrating them in the site.

Putting up an online business has many advantages over other options to earn money online. One of them is that the owner has overall control over the business. The decisions to organize, improve, and change the layout and contents of the site lies in him or her. It may be not simple when getting started but the fruits are more rewarding especially if the business is doing well. One way to increase traffic in the profile is to put the right keywords so that people searches are directed to it. If gifts are being sold, put names of gifts that people usually purchase so that they will be lead to the site when they seek. In addition, many companies pay sites to display their ads. One can post this links in the profile or website to earn extra cash. Another way is to promote the spot by putting the URL every time an email is sent. Encourage friends to post the link to their profiles too to expand the horizon of the business.

Are you ready to discover a Free Secret report worth $197 and a Free Leaked Live Footage worth $10,000? This may be true for the majority of people who make a living out of it. While others who just visit the Internet for reading emails every once in a while, they may survive without it for quite a period of time. But are there still people out there who can really do away without going online nowadays?

The Internet has become such an important part of the daily lives of many people, especially those who have found ways to earn money while online. When in the past their Internet visit were limited to sending and reading emails to families, relatives and friends all over the world, today, millions of people have taken notice of the thousands and thousands of opportunities being offered online.

When people say that it is easy to earn money while online, they might really be telling the truth. The issue is how much money can one earn? It all depends on what they do in the Internet.

Many people have taken to the pay per click opportunities. By registering on PPC sites, they get to earn cents by clicking on advertising banners. It is recommended that they join many of these sites and perform clicking ads daily as the cents will accumulate and would amount to, sometimes, a nice sum of dollars per month. Their secret is to refer as many people to these programs, as with each referral, their income also increases. This is the same principles that apply to online business programs like getting paid to read emails, and getting paid to surf.

Answering surveys is another program that could get people to earn money while online. Usually by registering on these companies, you get like $5 upon entry. And they would be sending their surveys through emails and people could choose to participate in that survey for a fee. The surveys that come per month may not be that many, so it is advisable to join many of these survey programs.

Aside from those mentioned programs, there are also multi-level marketing schemes that people join. Many have earned so much from these and claims of unlimited income often come from these opportunities, but those who usually join these are experienced online marketers who are experts in recruiting people to become their downlines. And as their downlines grow their incomes also expands. These also involved cash investment in order to join such businesses.

Other online visitors belong to the night owls who maintain their blogs. Blogging has become a way of life to many individuals, and successful blogs have returned big amount of money for their authors each month. This is why content writing or article writing jobs are becoming a lucrative opportunity for those who have passions in writing. There are also sites that writers could join and have their compositions published online where they would earn a share from the adverts shown on their pages.

It is fitting to say then, that these individuals who work online, cannot survive without the Internet even for one day.

Are you ready to discover a Free Secret report worth $197 and a Free Leaked Live Footage worth $10,000?
