2011-01-02T03:23:00.000-08:00

KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) -- Supermodel Helena Christensen has spent three days in villages in southern Nepal as part of her campaign to highlight the effect of global warming on poor and rural communities.

The Danish model told reporters: "I ... met several women who told me their personal stories, shared with me the fear they have over the way they live their lives now constantly waiting for flooding and not knowing how to react when it happens."

She says the villagers were fearful for their children's lives and their livelihood.

Christensen was speaking Monday in Katmandu after visiting Nawalaparasi district.

Most of the population there depend on farming for their livelihood. Crops have been destroyed by flooding, drought and a cold spell.

Hilary Duff sends sexy photos of herself to husband Mike Comrie because she wants to keep their marriage “interesting”.

The singer-and-actress – who married the Canadian ice hockey player in August after dating him for three years – is happy to send Mike intimate images of herself although never lets her face been seen in them.

When asked by radio DJ Billy Bush if she sends Mike sexy pictures from her phone, Hilary replied: “Oh my God you’re going to get me in trouble . never with my face in it.

“We’ve gotta keep it fun, gotta keep it interesting.”

Hilary isn’t worried about anyone else seeing her body because she trusts her husband not to show the snaps to any of his friends.

She said: “He’d know better than to forward them on!”

While she admits to sending raunchy messages to Mike to help keep her marriage interesting, Hilary recently revealed she is still adjusting to their long distance marriage.

The 23-year-old star spends most of her time in Los Angeles for work, while her sportsman spouse plays for Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL league.

She said: “Now he’s gone and I’m like, ‘No, you left me too soon! What’s happening?’ That kind of sucks. But we’re used to that long distance thing and we’re going to figure it out. It means a lot of travelling for me this year, but that’s OK.”

The “With You” songstress and her handsome ex-NFL playing fiancé looked to be enjoying themselves as they dined at Coppola’s East restaurant together.

In related news, Jess revealed that she was watching “Parenthood” when Eric made her pause it so he could propose to her.

"I was watching Parenthood at the time. He made me pause it. I was like, 'It's a really good part in Parenthood…it's an emotional fight right now.' [Eric's] like, 'I know, but I just got to show you something.'"

When he popped the question, "I was shaking [and] short of breath! It was definitely one of those moments where I’ve never felt that way before, ever. I can't believe all the Simpsons kept a secret."

Cheryl Cole Slows Things Down on “The Flood”

2010-11-25T08:03:00.000-08:00

She’s been enjoying a successful solo career after jumping ship from Girls Aloud, and Cheryl Cole's new single “The Flood” is a delightful change of pace.

The “X Factor” babe tried going a little slower and more introspective on the new track, a different direction than her usual fast-paced dance tracks.

Appropriately, the video for “The Flood” is also more low-key, as it was filmed against the dramatic backdrop of the white cliffs on England’s south coast.

And while the video has already been released, “The Flood” won’t be available for purchase until January 3rd.

Jennifer Grey Is Expected To Win DWTS Title Tonight

2010-11-22T05:01:00.000-08:00

Will it be the “Dirty” dancer or the abstinence teacher?

On Monday Night, “Dancing with the Stars’” most anticipated finale in 11 seasons pits “Dirty Dancing” star Jennifer Grey against reformed teen mom Bristol Palin.

Oh, and Disney star Kyle Massey.

Yet despite Palin’s staying power and rumors that voting fraud is helping to keep the continuously low scoring competitor on the show, she has both the odds and talent stacked against her.

“This year we’ve had Jennifer Grey as the favorite from the beginning,” odds maker Benjamin Eckstein of America’s Line told the News.

He said the numbers land Grey and partner Derek Hough in first place with 1:2 odds, Palin and Mark Ballas in second at 2:1 and underdogs Massey and Lacey Schwimmer bringing up the rear with 5:1 odds.

He admitted that he was shocked when front runners Brandy and Maks were voted off last week. He said that with Palin in the mix — who Eckstein said odds originally placed at the bottom of the list in “Florence Henderson territory” — this has been “the toughest year to handicap.”

“If you relied on history, clearly no one comes close to Jennifer Grey,” he said. “But now we’re relying on voting.”

Melanie LaPatin, a choreographer who has appeared on “So You Think You Can Dance?” and founded the Dance Times Square studio, thinks that Grey deserves to win.

“Jennifer Grey has an edge in terms of naturalness in movement for a dancer,” she told the Daily News. “She has beautiful form and makes great shapes and I think she is probably the best dancer out there.”

LaPatin favors Massey as the show’s runner up, saying he’s “definitely the most energetic and the most entertaining.”

As for Palin, the pro dancer said she is “not up to par” and that she lacks “any passion in her dancing.”

But in the words of Eckstein, the competition has “taken on a life of its own” and only Tuesday night’s results show can put the gambling to rest.

The “Dancing with the Stars” finale airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Annalynne McCord Is Hot And Annoying

2010-11-22T04:59:00.002-08:00

It’s pretty clear to me that AnnaLynne McCord hates my guts and blows kisses to the camera simply to piss me off. I must have about a dozen posts featuring her doing this crap, grow the hell up princess, she probably thinks this is her thing now. So obnoxious. She’d get more positive feedback if her thing was I don’t know, letting one of her boobs fall out on the red carpet. Just a suggestion. Nice legs though.

Tony Parker Files His Own Divorce Papers

2010-11-20T06:47:00.002-08:00

(HMG Celebrity News) – In what’s setting up to be a very contentious divorce, Tony Parker has filed his own divorce petition against Eva Longoria in Texas.

The divorce battle between Parker and Longoria reportedly began when the actress discovered hundreds of flirty texts between her husband and Erin Barry, wife of former teammate Brent Barry. At that moment Eva reportedly knew the marriage was over.

Tony filed his papers in Texas probably because he plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs, and because Texas processes divorces in as little as 60 days. Eva filed for divorce earlier in the week in Los Angeles, CA., setting up a legal battle over where the case will be heard.

Instead of the usual “irreconcilable differences” that Eva used, Tony got a bit more specific saying the reason for the divorce according to TMZ: “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationships and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Tony’s papers state, “Petitioner believes Petitioner and Respondent will enter into an agreement for the division of their estate.” This wording may indicate that Tony’s legal team could be preparing to fight the prenup agreement the couple previously signed, meaning their could be a battle brewing over the couple’s estate.

Charlie Sheen’s porn star date Capri Anderson gets “Good Morning America” interview

2010-11-20T06:39:00.000-08:00

TMZ

(HMG Celebrity News) – Well it’s lets reward a porn star who had the good luck and bad fortune to pick up Charlie Sheen, with some more publicity time. According to TMZ sources, Capri is taping her side of the story of what went down that fateful night today, accompanied by high-powered attorney Keith Davidson. The segment will likely air Monday morning and according to the same sources, Capri will paint a picture that is much more violent than what has been reported so far.
It’s been previously reported that Sheen threatened Capri and kept her in the NY hotel suite against her will after the “Two and a Half Men” star allegedly went on a booze and cocaine rampage when he couldn’t find his wallet and cell phone. Capri, 22, cowered naked in the suite’s bathroom as the naked actor reportedly ranted incoherently while busting a chair and knocking over a table.
