the beach

2012-05-14T23:21:00.005-05:00

We took a 2 week trip to Florida a few weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to post about it yet. We stayed at my parents house for awhile and then went to Cathie's house in Seaside for a week.

We went jet-skiing at my house and go so lost. Like seriously lost. My dad, Mallory, and Bret had to come looking for us on the boat. I have done it a million times, but have NO sense of direction. We took this picture before we realized we didn't know how to get home.

Seaside is my favorite beach in the world. So pretty!

Cathie's house.

At Bud & Alley's the first night.

The cute Shrimp Shack.

Modica Market.

At Bud & Alley's again. After being there 2 nights we realized they have super strong drinks which you can see from this picture.

One of the few times I was out from under the umbrella. I am crazy about not getting burned or even tan.

Caliza restaurant at Alys Beach.

It was a super fun and relaxing trip and now we are back at work until November.

seaside!

2012-04-03T07:00:00.000-05:00

Were leaving for Florida this week and I cannot wait. I am dying to have almost a 2 week break from work. We are going to my parents house first and then Seaside for the rest of the trip. I love Seaside and haven't been since Annie & Callie Wilson had there double wedding there a few summers ago. It's my favorite beach and the town is so cute!

Even though I still watch a ridiculous amount of tv since Friday Night Lights and The West Wing went off the air, I haven't loved that many shows (except Mad Men, Up All Night, & Vampire Diaries). My current favorite show started back last night and I'm so excited. Game of Thrones is definitely the best show on tv right now and I am completely obsessed with Khaleesi.

the wedding is still on...

2012-03-19T06:00:00.000-05:00

About 2 weeks ago I really wanted to not do the whole wedding thing and just Nick and I go get married on the beach somewhere. It all overwhelms me and we (more me) were seriously considering it. Nothing I was finding really felt like me and was to "weddingish", but then my friend Thao told me about this Rachel Zoe dress. I tried it on, loved it, and felt like myself in it. So thanks to Thao the wedding is still on!

Even though I do not want kids anytime in the near future (maybe in 5-10 years), I love this line. I feel like it was made for me. It's for before, during and after pregnancy, so I definitely want to get a few things. I love the button down and strapless dress. So cute!

my birthday!

2012-03-05T17:00:00.002-06:00

Today is my birthday and I can't believe I am so old. I have major issues with my own birthday because I just don't like to make a big deal out of it. I normally don't even like people to know its my birthday! But this year was actually really fun, probably my most fun birthday yet. My mom was in town on Friday and we all went to eat at The Porch. Then on Saturday Nick and I went to brunch and ended up spending the rest of the day at one of my favorite bars in Dallas. I also got some really cute summer clothes. A white maxi dress from my mom and a Michelle Mason tank top and white blazer from Nick. Plus Nick's mom got me tickets to Miranda Lambert. I have been dying to see her in concert for years!

I have an abnormal obsession with Friday Night Lights and Tim Riggins, so Nick surprised me with this t-shirt too.

A picture from the end of the night on Saturday.
