Disneyland Resort lovers have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Cars Land and Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. Both sections were created as part of a massive refurbishment for California Adventure that is just about at completion.

In fact, the opening day for the public is currently scheduled for June 15, 2012 at which time the general public will be allowed to experience all of the new attractions and experiences of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. However, annual pass holders are being offered a special preview of the area on select days.

Annual pass holders may purchase one of three special ticket options allowing them to preview the new area on either June 9 or June 10, 2012. These three options include a general Cars Land and Buena Vista Street Preview for $50, a Cars Land and Buena Vista Street Preview Followed by a Private World of Color Show for $75 or a Dinner at Carthay Circle Restaurant, Cars Land and Buena Vista Street Preview Followed by World of Color Show for $500. All ticket options are per person.

Those thinking of visiting Disneyland during the summer may want to watch the All Things Mouse Disney Park Hours page for park hours. Of note, Disneyland and California Adventure hours are typically only known a month to a month and a half in advance.

The Operating Park Hours for the Walt Disney World Resort are now available for the month of December 2012. These park hours will be of infinite interest to anyone planning a trip to Disney World during the holiday season.

Knowing the hours in advance of your trip helps you to plan which parks you may want to visit on certain days. A little planning ahead of time could save you a lot of headache later.

For example, let’s say you want to visit Magic Kingdom on your arrival day, but you are only getting in at 4PM. If the Magic Kingdom closes early that day for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you may want to consider a visit to another park instead to maximize your park entries instead of wasting the time to go to the Magic Kingdom when it will be closing at 7PM.

Hours also help you plan your dining reservations. If Disney’s Hollywood Studios closes at 7PM, you will not be able to reserve an 8:30 PM reservation at the Brown Derby.

Shown in the calendar below are the hours for all four of the theme parks of Walt Disney World. This includes the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Hours are also known for the two water parks of Disney World, but are not shown in the calendar. Typhoon Lagoon is closed all month for refurbishment with Disney’s Blizzard Beach open daily from 10AM-5PM.

The calendar below also offers Extra Magic Hours. EMH are extra hours the parks are open for qualified guests. Typically, these guests are those staying at one of the many resorts of Walt Disney World.

December 2012 Walt Disney World Park Hours

Dates for the 2012 offerings of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have been announced by Disney with tickets for the events also now available. Party nights start on November 9, 2012 and run on select nights through December 21, 2012.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event tied to the holiday season held on select nights at the Magic Kingdom® of the Walt Disney World Resort. Those interested in attending will need to purchase a party ticket as admission to the event is not included as part of general admission.

Party hours start at 7PM and run through midnight. The park closes for non-party ticket holders at 7PM leaving the festivities, activities and rides available just for those attending the party.

Guests at the party will be treated to:

• Enchanted Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle
• Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade including an appearance by Santa Claus
• Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season – a special fireworks spectacular
• Live entertainment with Disney Characters
• Meet and greets with some of your favorite Disney Characters
• Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa
• Magical snow fall on Main Street, U.S.A.

In addition, many of the Magic Kingdom’s rides and attractions will be open during the party giving guests an opportunity to enjoy them in addition to the party festivities. As a limited number of party tickets are sold, lines at the rides and attractions tend to be shorter during the party than during the standard admission day.

Nights when the party will be offered include November 9, 12, 15, 16, 25, 27, 29 and the 30th. December party nights include the  2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21.

Those visiting Disney World during these times and who wish to attend a party event may want to consider purchasing their tickets in advance. As a limited number are sold, there is always a possibility of a sell-out of certain nights.

Pricing for tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range from $58.95-$67.95 for advance purchase for adults. Kids aged 3-9 tickets for advance purchase range from $53.95-$62.95.

The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates have been released for 2012 for the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World Resort. These dates start on September 11, 2012 and run through November 2, 2012.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a hard ticket special event held at the Magic Kingdom. Those guests wishing to attend will need to purchase a special ticket for admission to the party as standard park admission will not work.

The park closes for regular guests at 7PM on the nights when the party is being held. The party then runs until midnight.

Special events offered as part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party include:

• Special Trick-or-Treating locations – these locations are setup throughout the Magic Kingdom where you can get some delicious candy
• Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade – this parade includes many of the standard Disney characters lead with a ride by the  Headless Horseman
• Happy HalloWishes – Disney villains are the featured characters for the special version of Wishes fireworks spectacular
• Disney Character Meet and Greets – featuring many of your favorite Disney characters in special Halloween costumes
• Magic Kingdom is transformed for the Halloween season with special lighting and decorations

Nights when the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be offered include: September 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 30 – October 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31 – November 2.

Guests who will be visiting the park during the time of the Halloween Party and who wish to attend may want to consider purchasing their tickets in advance. It is possible that tickets may sell-out for certain nights, especially those closer to the actual Halloween date itself, as the number of tickets sold is limited.

Tickets may be purchased directly from Disney. Prices range from $55.95 to $64.95 per adult depending on which night is chosen. Children aged 3-9 tickets range in price from $50.95-$59.95.

Undoubtedly, many coffee lovers will be elated to learn that Starbucks is coming to the Disney Theme Parks. The announcement of the new partnership came last week with a few additional details currently available.

Opening first under the agreement will be a location at Disney’s California Adventure. It will be found in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street. That location plays on the 1920′s of Los Angeles and Starbucks baristas will wear themed attire to fit the locale.

“We know food and beverage offerings are an important part of the memories our guests make at Disney Parks and now they will be able to enjoy their favorite Starbucks® beverage as part of their experience,” said Maribeth Bisienere, vice president, food and beverage line of business for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “Many of our guests have shared their passion for Starbucks with us, and we look forward to making their feedback a reality as we debut the first location at Disney California Adventure.”

Along with Starbucks drinks, sandwiches and pastries, the Starbucks Disney locations will also offer Disney favorites. This may include signature Disney sandwiches, treats and desserts.

Additional Starbucks locations will open in the remaining domestic Disney theme parks in the near future. This includes Disneyland in California and the four theme parks of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Currently available offers range from ticket only specials, to room discounts to special annual pass only offers. Below are a few of the current options. 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $199

Guests looking for a ticket discount may want to consider the 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets available online for just $199. These same 3-day tickets normally sell for $224. Children aged 3-9 tickets under the special are only $183.

Tickets must be purchased by May 28, 2012 and are only valid through June 10, 2012. Once the ticket has been used for the first time, it will expire thirteen days later or the aforementioned June 10th.

Save Up to 25% At a Disneyland Resort Hotel

Guests looking for a place to stay may want to consider one of the three hotels of the Disneyland Resort. This includes the Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Discounts range from 15% off of rack rates at the Grand Californian up to 25% off at the Disneyland or Paradise Pier Hotel depending on which night is selected.

This special must be booked by May 26, 2012 with travel completed by June 9th. Discount will not apply to suite reservations.

Southern California $99 2-Day Tickets

Residents of Southern California are offered a special 2-Day (one park per day) ticket for just $99. This entitles the guests to two separate days in the parks and may be purchased now through June 1st.

Standard pricing for a 2-day (one park per day) ticket is $158.

Annual Passholder Up to 30% Room Only Discount

Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on a room only reservation at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels. This special must be booked by June 9th with travel completed by June 10, 2012.

Most Sunday through Thursday nights, the discount at most Paradise Pier rooms is 30% with Friday and Saturday discounts of 20%. At the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian, most Sunday through Thursday nights have a 25% discount available for annual passholders with Friday and Saturday night’s discount being 15%.

The Walt Disney World Resort currently has several different special offers available to entice you to consider a vacation to the Florida resort. These special offers range from Free Dining to room only discounts.

Discount availability is limited and valid dates vary. Please check with your travel agent or Walt Disney World for complete details and/or to book a vacation!

Free Disney Dining Plan or Disney Quick Service Dining Plan

One of the most popular special offers of all time from Disney has to be the Free Dining Discount. It is available again for arrivals most nights from August 25, 2012 through September 29, 2012. (Package must be booked by May 18, 2012).

Those booking a non-discounted qualifying room and ticket package at one of Disney World’s  many resorts may receive either the Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan added on to their package at no additional cost.

The Free Disney Dining Plan is added to the qualifying packages booked at select moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resorts. For each night of stay, each person in the package three and older will receive one table service meal credit, one quick service meal credit and one snack credit. In addition, each will receive a refillable resort drink mug.

Guests booking a qualifying package at select Disney World value resorts will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan added to their package at no additional cost. The Quick Service Dining Plan includes two quick service meals and one snack per night of the reservation per person age three and older. This plan also includes one free refillable resort drink mug per person.

Room and Ticket Discount Package

For arrivals most nights from June 15, 2012 through August 14, 2012, a special discounted room and ticket package is available. Based on a 6-night, 7-day room and ticket package for a family of 4 in a standard or studio room, the pricing listed starts at $69 per night per person for a value resort, $78 a night for a moderate, $95 for a deluxe and $100 per night per person for a deluxe villa.

This discount package includes both the room and park tickets. Additional options such as Park Hopper and Water Parks, Fun and More options may be added for an increased cost. Book by June 14, 2012 to receive the package.

Up to 25% Room Only Discount

Most nights June 15, 2012 through August 14, 2012, guests may receive a room only discount of up to 25% off of rack rates. This special must also be booked by June 14, 2012.

Guests opting for a value resort like Pop Century or moderate resort like Caribbean Beach may receive a 20% discount. Those booking a deluxe resort like the Polynesian or deluxe villa resort may receive a 25% discount.

The Disneyland Park Hours are now available for the entire month of May 2012. These hours include both the Disneyland Theme Park and the California Adventure Theme Park.

Those visiting during the month will typically find crowd levels very manageable. However, at times, the crowds will swell owing to factors such as early summer breaks from school and the Memorial Day holiday.

May weather can also be a big plus for those planning a visit. The highs average around 69° with the lows coming in at a still comfortable 58°. Rain also tends to be less frequent during May than they were in April with average rainfall just 0.3 inches for the entire month.

Morning Magic Hours for Disneyland are offered on the calendar below. Those unfamiliar with Morning Magic Hours may have heard of Disney World’s similar Extra Magic Hours. However, unlike Disney World, the MMH at Disneyland are offered only on select mornings and never in the evening. Additional details of MMH include:

• MMH is only offered at Disneyland – California Adventure does not participate in the offering.
• MMH only occurs on select days, typically Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• MMH is available with select tickets and packages, but not necessarily tied to a room reservation. For instance, guests buying a 3,4 or 5-day park hopper from the Disneyland website are usually offered one admission to the Morning Magic Hour.
• Those staying on-property at one of the Disneyland Resorts (Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian or Paradise Pier) usually get entrance to any MMH just by showing their room card.
• Valid park admission for the day is required to utilize the MMH option.
• Only certain Disneyland attractions are open for MMH.

Guests planning a holiday season trip to Walt Disney World Resort will be thrilled to know that the Operating Park Hours for the month of November 2012 are now available. This includes the hours for the four theme parks of Walt Disney World including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

November 2012 Park Hours are important to many as the month of November is a popular time to visit Disney World. At least, the latter half of the month is. The first few weeks are generally light in crowd levels which means they also might be an ideal time to visit if your schedule allows.

However, most guests tend to visit during the last few weeks if they are going in November. That is because a lot of families take their trips around Thanksgiving and any associated vacation days from school. Those looking for a seasonal experience will not be disappointed with any November period as Disney rolls out the Christmas decorations shortly after Halloween.

Hours included in the calendar below cover the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Hours for the two water parks (Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon) are not yet known but they have run from 10AM-5PM each day in the past according to the historical park hours.

November 2012 Walt Disney World Park Hours

Disneyland now offers guests the opportunity to make dining reservations at many of the on-site restaurants via Email. The new system recently when online and is available now for guests to use.

Guests have always been able to make reservations via the Disney Dine Line (714-781-DINE), and they are still able to do so. However, the new Email system is a new option that is sure to be popular with many Disneyland Resort guests.

All guests have to do is send an email to dine@disneyland.com. Emails received between the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., 7 days a week will be reviewed that same day. Those received after hours will be reviewed the following day.

Upon review, Disney will respond with availability. According to the Disney Parks Blog about the new system, all Email requests should include:

• Name of the restaurant or experience you’d like to book
• Requested reservation date and meal period (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
• Total number of guests in your party
• Your name and phone number

It is important to note the requests are not confirmed until you have received a confirmation number from Disney.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Studio Disney 365 reservations may also be requested via the new system. For more information on the new Email option or to find a complete list of participating restaurants, contact Disney.
