Wu Chun to visit Malaysia and Singapore

22 Nov – Taiwanese star, Wu Chun, who was known for being an ex-member of the Mandopop boy band, Fahrenheit, will be making an appearance in Southeast Asia, his next stops being Malaysia and Singapore this month.

The 32-year-old's visit is part of his promotional activities for his latest movie, "Magic To Win", with director Wilson Yip and producer Raymond Wong also making an appearance. The stars will be in Malaysia on Monday, 28 November, to meet the fans in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur at 8pm, before moving on to Singapore the next day, 29 November.

This is not Wu Chun's first stop in Singapore. In September 2011, he was in the country to promote his movie, "My Kingdom". Fans can expect the same meet and greet for his "Magic To Win" promotional activities, with a Q & A session about movie, games, and the movie's launch.
Wu Chun, or Goh Kiat Chun, a Brunei-born Taiwanese who soared to fame with Fahrenheit in 2005, has also starred in many Taiwanese dramas such as "Hanazakari no Kimitachi he", "Romantic Princess", "Hot Shot", "Tokyo Juliet" and "Sunshine Angel". His first movie debut was "The Butterfly Lovers" in 2008.

His latest, "Magic To Win" tells the story of an alternate universe, where it constitutes of five elements, which are gold, wood, water, fire and earth. Hong Sum-Kwai (Raymond Wong), a university professor, while living a double life as the wizard of water of "Five Elements Wizardry", accidentally transfers his powers to his student, Macy (Karena). Soon, Macy finds herself entangled in an elemental power struggle.

The movie will be released in cinemas on 1 December in Malaysia and 8 December in Singapore.

Tintin' to screen at AFI Fest

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- The animated movie "The Adventures of Tintin" has been chosen to close out the 2011 American Film Institute Festival, organizers said Tuesday.

The Steven Spielberg-Peter Jackson collaboration is to screen in 3-D Nov. 10 at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The screening will mark the movie's North American premiere.

Based on the beloved comic-strip characters created by Belgian artist Georges Rimi who wrote under the pen name Herge, the movie stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.

25 Years, 7 Films, 1 Nation: EDSAngangdaan: The EDSA Film Festival

MANILA, Philippines -- Some 25 years since the EDSA Revolution, a new generation of Filipinos has grown up, and stories about EDSA and People Power have been retold, rehashed, and even revised over time.

Imagining the nation in various cultural forms and narratives has always comprised an integral process for the Filipino people— and this has never been as true as in the case of the EDSA narratives. Thus, this upcoming December, Focus on the Global South-Philippines is showcasing the works of multi-awarded as well as up-and-coming filmmakers to tell new stories and propose fresh perspectives about the three EDSA events that have shaped us as a nation through a film fest dubbed EDSAngangdaan: The EDSA Film Festival.

Where from and where to with EDSA? Six short films, each produced under a film grant extended by Focus, in addition to Focus’ own documentary, will paint a broad canvas of Philippine society and history in relation to the three EDSAs over the years. Stories of mothers and wives of the rebelling soldiers in EDSA; stories of farmers, politicians and street children; stories of ordinary lives in extraordinary circumstances— the film festival presents all these vital stories with the aim of furthering social and historical education, of turning cinema into a vehicle for socio-political change.

EDSAngangdaan: The EDSA Film Festival officially opens on Dec. 7, in time for International Human Rights week. Alongside the six short films and Focus’ documentary, in-depth discussions of their content will also take place on the second screening day, Dec. 8, beginning 9:30 a.m., at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani auditorium in Quezon City. After every film will be an open exchange of views and opinions, involving selected discussants, filmmakers, educators and especially representatives among the youth.

EDSAngangdaan: The EDSA Film Festival is part of Focus on the Global South-Philippines’ broader contribution to the 25th Anniversary of the People Power Revolution— the EDSA Stories Project. Throughout 2011, Focus, through EDSA Stories, has sought to rekindle the interest of the new generation in the continuing significance of the EDSA events, for how history is told will have an indelible impact on how history is made.

The Sex and the City is an American cable Tv Show a film adaptation of the HBO comedy Tv series of the Sex and the city, it's all about four female friends, dealing with their lives as 40-something year olds in New York City. Set in New York City, the show focused on four women, three in their mid-thirties and one in her forties. The quirky drama/comedy had multiple continuing story lines and tackled socially relevant issues such as sexually transmitted diseases, safe sex, and promiscuity. It specifically examined the lives of big-city professional women in the late 1990s and how changing roles and expectations for women affected the characters.

The show was primarily filmed at New York City's Silvercup Studios and on location in and around Manhattan. Since it ended, the show has been aired in syndication on networks such as TBS, WGN, and many other local stations. However, basic cable outlets at local stations excise certain explicit show content that was broadcast in the original version.

The show was based in part on writer Candace Bushnell's book of the same name, compiled from her column with the New York Observer. Bushnell has stated in several interviews that the Carrie Bradshaw in her columns is her alter ego; when she wrote the "Sex and the City" essays, she used her own name initially; for privacy reasons, however, she created the character of Carrie Bradshaw, a woman who was also working as a writer and living in New York City. Carrie also has the same initials, which reiterates her connection with Bushnell.

Darren Starr, the show's creator, paid $50,000 to Bushnell for "lock, stock, and barrel" rights to her columns, according to fellow author Toby Young. The show "bears only a passing resemblance to its source material" the columns were "darker and more cynical" than the "gentler" series that Starr produced. According to Sex and the City: Kiss and Tell, by Amy Sohn, Starr wanted to create a show that expressed true adult comedy and sex in an up-front way.

Bruce Wayne is a crime fighter or hero that has some advance equipment and vehicles used to fight criminals and to bring them to justice. Bruce's parents where murdered when he was a child, in this manner Bruce trained himself to be hard enough to fight criminals. Along side with Bruce is Dick Grayson, a former circus acrobat who became partner and sidekick, Robin. Together they will secure Gotham City from the villains such as Joker, Penguin, Scare Crow, Riddler, Cat Woman and Dr. Harvey A.K.A 2 face.

The Batman TV Series was debuted on 12 of January 1966 and it is marked for its high camp, and continue to associate with the Batman character despite of being the least representative on the many version.

Regardless of abhorrence of the tv series by TV series Fans of the 70's through the present day, the live action TV show was remarkably popular: with its popularity, it became the only prime time tv show that is aired twice a week on it's regular airing schedule, and reruns during Wednesday and Thursday.

Men In Black

Men In Black was an animated television series based on the popular movie of the same name. Jay, Kay and Elle are back as the Men in Black. The sci-fi tv series was based on the comic book series by Lowell Cunningham, originally published by Aircel Comics. MIB: The Series was based on the 1997 blockbuster Men In Black and continued where the film left off, though with some minor changes. Agent K remained an agent and partner to Agent J who moved to the lab inside Men In Black Headquarters. The headquarters itself was no longer under the ventilator building of the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, but now at what looked like a disused area under LaGuardia airport. These differences are possibly addressed in one episode of the series, where it is revealed that every so often some writer or Hollywood-type learns of the MIB and makes a movie about them, possibly hinting that the live-action movie was one of these incidents. There were some further differences in appearances in the characters in the cartoon.

Tommy Lee Jones is Agent Kay, a member of a top-secret organization headed by Zed (Rip Torn). Better known as the “Men in Black” for the sharp black suits they wear, these are the agents that keep tabs on the population of alien visitors on Earth. When Kay finds himself in need of a new partner, he recruits brash NYPD detective James Edwards (Will Smith) as Agent Jay. Jay doesn’t get long to acclimatise to his new position, as the two agents find themselves battling a deadly plot by an intergalactic terrorist, who is on a mission to spark intergalactic war by assassinating two ambassadors from opposing galaxies who are currently in New York. The terrorist is an alien bug-like lifeforms that has taken to wearing the body of farmer Edgar (Vincent D’Onofrio) in order to insinuate himself into earth’s population without being noticed. To prevent disaster and the destruction of the Earth, Kay and Jay must track down the terrorist, with the help of coroner Dr Laurel Weaver (Linda Fiorentino), before he can bring his evil plans to fruition.

Men In Black television series is highly entertaining and full of good clean fun, it is an extravaganza packed with excellent alien effects and plenty of action. Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in the Men In Black the movie are an inspired pairing, with plenty of chemistry as they squabble and poke fun at each other. It got an outstanding alien special effects and action. Very entertaining sci-fi comedy film with great special effects and plenty of chemistry between Jones and Smith.

The Richest Kid: Richie Rich

A 12 year old boy named Richie Rich, is a boy that has everything: Richie lives in a mansion complete with a chaperon, named Cadbury, with a collection of complex toys, and private McDonalds; he has a great relationship with his parents specially his father, that can contact him anywhere in the world with a satellite-driven called “DADLINK” his money made him few real friends, and he longs to be able to join in such normal activities as playing sandlot baseball with the local kids.

But meanwhile, Richie doesn't know that his father is having troubles on his own; his father's chief financial adviser named Lawrence Van Dough, has had enough of this employer's investments and charitable contributions, and he decided to kill Richie's parent so that he can become the new CEO of his father's company. When Mr. and Mrs Rich fly out for some business trips. Richie takes this chance to make friends with the local kids, in a way of inviting them over the mansion; also Van Dough take this opportunity, and he plant a bomb on the family private plane. Thanks to the new invention of the Rich family scientist, Dr. Keenbean, the bomb is detected, but Richard is unable to get rid of the bomb before it detonates. The bomb destroys part of the wing tips, sending their plane into the ocean. However, both manage to survive on a lifeboat. Believing that the Rich family are dead, Van Dough assumes the head of the Rich corporation, and proceeds to cut the many charitable contributions the Rich family were known for. This includes closing the recently-reopened United Tool factory, which the parents of the sandlot kids relied upon on their living. This angers Richie, who proceeds to the company headquarters and, as a living Rich family member, assumes the leadership position.
Although Van Dough tries to take over the company, Richie Rich seat as a new CEO and manages their business smoothly. Van Dough was convinced that he must dispose of the younger Rich as well as the elder, Van Dough put a bomb part in Cadbury's room and called the police. With Cadbury implicated in the bombing, Van Dough assumes the custody of Riches has him sequestered in his room for security reasons. Using the dad link, Richie discover that his parents are alive, with the help of his friends and family investor professor Keenbean, he managed to escape from the mansion, and he breaks Cadbury out of jail, and return to the mansion to foil van doughs plans.

Desperate Housewives is one of ABC's most popular comedy-drama series of the 2004-2005 season, the weekly, hour-long Desperate Housewives show took place on Wisteria Lane in an upscale suburban neighborhood. That Wisteria Lane was not as quiet and respectable as it appeared at first glance was brought home forcibly in the opening episode, when housewife Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) committed suicide right in the middle of her comfortable living room. From her vantage point in the great beyond, Mary Alice served as the series wry, all-knowing narrator, filling the viewer on the various sordid details in the lives of her four best friends. There was divorce Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), ever-looking for love in all the wrong places and agonizing over the behavior of her daughter, Julie (Andrea Bowen). There was Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), who every day of her life kicked herself over her decision to give up her business career to care for her highly competitive husband, Tom (Doug Savant), and her irritating children. There was Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross), the all-too-perfect, control-freak homemaker who eventually drove her husband, Rex (Steven Culp), to divorce court and her son, Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom), into malevolent misanthropy.

And there was ex-model Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), who despite having married into money and luxury couldn't stop herself from fooling around with teenaged gardener John (Jesse Metcalfe). Though her controlling husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), was not privy to her infidelity, he had his suspicions that she was less than faithful. Prone to extreme displays of machismo, he took many measures to maintain the marriage. Weaving in and out of the proceedings was the oft-divorced Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), with whom Susan competed over the affections of supposedly widowed plumber Mike Delfino (James Denton). The sexual intrigues of Wisteria Lane were augmented (during the first season at least) by the mysterious activities of Mary Alice's husband, Paul (Mark Moses), including digging up the backyard swimming pool in the dead of night and the strange emotional outbursts of their tormented, unstable son, Zach (Cody Kasch). Created by Marc Cherry, Desperate Housewives debuted October 3, 2004.

It was another night time soap that really funny. So many people are crazy about this show, it is worth a watch. The above review was written close to the beginning of the tv series. The series still has its moments. But the humor is starting to take precedence behind the conflict and mysteries. Once, you could have said there was no show with quite the attitude and ambiance of Desperate Housewives.

This was a second film based on The X Files franchise created by Carter, following the 1998 film "The X-Files: Fight the Future". The three main characters from the television series re-appear in the film. David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi, reprise their respective roles as Fox Mulder, Dana Scully and Walter Skinner.

The X Files: I Want to Believe offers the viewer many mysteries to contemplate, and only one of them is on-screen, as David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return to roles and a franchise that last graced our TV screens in 2002 (and was last on the big screen in 1998), your mind swirls around the behind-the-scenes facts as fiercely as it does around the events playing out before your eyes. As reclusive, retired ex-FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (Duchovny and Anderson) help the FBI with an abduction case. It begins with the abduction of a female FBI agent, cross-cut with a FBI search of a snowy field. Agents Whitney (Amanda Peet) and Drummy (Alvin "Xzibit" Joiner) are led by psychic Father Joseph Crissman (Billy Connolly) to a severed male arm buried in the snow. Whitney tracks down Dana Scully, now working as a doctor at a Catholic hospital, in the hopes that Scully can connect the FBI with Mulder, Mulder is disgraced and even wanted by the FBI, but the suggestion is that Mulder's past work in the bizarre and unusual cases known as the "The X Files" will give him an insight into working with a psychic. The FBI doesn't really trust Crissman, and with good reason, he's a convicted pedophile who's been exiled from the church for years.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe is also marred by bad guys who are simultaneously smart enough to engineer a multi-person kidnapping ring but dumb enough to make traditional movie villain errors like not checking to see if the person they've tried to kill is actually dead, or running a few errands while the person they want dead is lying there unconscious. Screen time devoted to the traditional back-and-forth between Mulder and Scully, his hunt for truth in the darkness against her need to find faith in the light, and all of that stuff, is screen time that could have been used to make the villains of the piece more compelling, or, at the very least, more interesting.

I have been watching The X Files from season to season. And when I heard there was a film I nearly passed out. I found that I enjoyed this movie a lot. One of my favorite Television series translated wonderfully to film. Thanks to creator Chris Carter’s detailed and revealing screenplay. “The Truth Was Out There” and Mulder and Scully finally found it. The X Files had the luxury of hit the big screen, making it a perfect complement to a truly groundbreaking sci-fi tv series.

BeastMaster: The Last Survivor of his Tribe

Beastmaster is a Canadian television series that aired from 1999 to 2002. It was loosely grounded on a 1982 MGM movie. The series aired for three entire and complete seasons (consist of 66 episodes ).

The series was nominated for the open craft award in the category of cinematography by the Australian film institute in 2000,and for the Saturn award for best syndicated/cable television series by the academy of science fiction, fantasy, and horror films, USA,in 2001. Beastmaster is presently running in syndication on sci-fi channel in the USA, but not in any prime-time slots.

It's never quite clear incisively how or why this would defeat such a noble and powerful evil being,but it's central premise of the story in the third season.

The series story arc should not be viewed strictly as a good vs. His friend tao, a trembling and fearful, psychology-attracted young man, who assists him in his quest. The world of the beastmaster is full of lost tribes, genocide looks being common,and all three of these characters are the survivors or last survivors of lost tribes. The general story arc of the series is that the world is altering,civilization is encouraging,engineering science is gaining ground slowly,the old orders of magic and sorcery are fading,and the world is coaxed and threatened by the supernatural being balcifer, the dark one,played by jeremy Callaghan. The series also featured monika schnarre as the sorceress,apprentice to the ancient one,played by grahame bond. The abnormal story. He wanders the lands seeking his lost loved one, kyra, protecting the racked and oppressed and the animals.

The regular human enemy of dar, King Zad, was played by steven grives, and marc singer, the distinguishable and original beastmaster, appears in the third season as dartanus,the spirit warrior who assists dar on his quest. Balcifer's agent on world is king zad, who is original king of the terrons, a savage tribe that enslaves and pillages at will, and later,when the tribe is despoiled and destroyed by king voden leading a group of viking-like northerners, zad re-emerges as the king of xincha, the city at the essence of the world, after deposing voden, who fled into the wilderness at the end of the second season. Dar is the last survivor of his tribe.

From Comics To The Big Screen

The Fantastic Four is one of the most recognizable superhero teams in all of comicdom. Even with several reincarnations the team is still as popular as ever. And of course, with a series this popular, it is bound to get its fair share of TV shows and movies.

For those who know nothing about the franchise is all about the adventures of a team of superheroes as they fight of villains to protect their city and the world in general. The group is lead by Reed Richards, known as Mr. Fantastic and has the ability to stretch his body. He is joined by his Girlfriend (and later wife, Sue Storm - Invisible Woman), who can go invisible, and Her brother Johnny (the Human Torch), who can make fire anytime he wants. The team is completed by Ben Grimm, the Thing, whose body is similar to a rock.

What makes this series different from other comic book heroes during those days in the they don't need to wear masks to conceal their identities. In fact all of the city's residents (and interestingly, all of the villains) their secret identities, and they are treated rather like celebrities. This part of the comic's story is very much used in their other appearances in TV.

The cartoons are by far, the most popular reincarnation of the Fantastic Four outside of the comic books. There are actually four animated series shown form the 1960's to the present. Each is a different take on the Fantastic Four.

Perhaps the most popular of the four is the first series shown in 1967, done by Hanna Barbara. It followed closely the original comic books and features many of the recurring villains. The cartoon was episodic in nature, with each episode independent of the others. It is also interesting to note that there was no episode that featured the origins of the Fantastic Four and instead it was explained in a short narration at the opening of each episode.

The second series, aired in 1970's, is also rather interesting. The show pretty much followed the features of the first, but with a notable exception. There was no Human Torch, but is replaced by a robot named HERBIE. This was the only cartooned that didn't feature all the characters together. No clear explanation was given as to why the character was not included in the series, though some say that it was a precaution to avoid kids from playing with fire.

And then, there are the movies. You are probably all too familiar with the two special effects movies shown in recent years. But here's a thing that you probably don't know. There is actually a third film, which was made way before the two films. Simply titled Fantastic Four, it was a rather low budget take on the story. It was not released commercially and was intended only to get hold of the copyright. The film is quite rare and many fans would probably have a hard time looking for a copy of it.

The First Avenger: Captain America - Movie in the making

After the initial preview of new Iron Man 2, the producers revealed its new project at the Comic-Con and this time, Marvel Studios has officially announced that the upcoming movie originally based from animated tv series, The First Avenger: Captain America.

Set in World War II, story of Steve Rogers who was born in great depression together with his poor family. Inspired to enlist in the army but due to his frailty and sickness, he was rejected and took part as a volunteer in a special experiment by General Chester Phillips named, "Operation:Rebirth."

Took several weeks of tests, Rogers was emerged from the treatment with a perfect body and has undergo intensive physical and tactical training

program. His first assignment: Captain America, armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, he continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and leader of the Avengers.

Comicbookmovie revealed that Joe Johnston will direct the much awaited superhero flick. As a first timer to direct such kind of genre, his expertise in visual effects and directing skills will be a great help to make it a quality movie. As we remembered, he brought Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji and Jurassic Part III.

According to Marvel Studios exec Kevin Feige, the potential villains as follows:

“We are gonna explore those aspects of World War II that made Cap special: the Super Soldier program, Red Skull, Hydra, all of those things that exist in the Marvel version of it. As you know if you read the comic books, the origin of Captain America is really the origin of the Marvel universe ...

it’s about that time in history when the idea of the superhero began to emerge.”

Feige, who was wearing a Marvel hat in case anyone forgot where he works, indicated that they're “about halfway though” developing the script, with a target date of June 2010 for the start of production. As far as casting is concerned, don’t expect any major announcements until October, when director Joe Johnston (The Wolf Man, Hidalgo) joins the production full-time.

Can a period-based comic book flick succeed in a genre dominated by glossy, futuristic films? And is The First Avenger: Captain America the latest example of franchise-obsessed Hollywood's disturbing trend towards comic book flicks with annoyingly cumbersome titles? We'll just have to wait and see, true believers.

Still no word as to who might play the star-spangled patriot, but rumors have abounded, including Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio and even African American Will Smith. However, nothing has been confirmed. This Marvel movie will be penned by Zak Penn and is looking at a May 6, 2011 release.

2010 Battlestar Galactica - Prequel Updates

It was reported in 2008 that there'll be going to have as many as three "Battlestar Galactica" TV films. These installments were under the production of Sci Fi Network, the series was created in 1978 and franchised in 2004. Its prequel is set to aired in 2010.

The story revolves on how human lives on the series of planets also known as the Twelve Colonies. Conflicts arise in the Colonies (Cylons) as a result, the planets went into a disaster and surivors flew into space. Among these, the only Colonial Fleet that survives is the Battlestar Gallactica, a military ship under the leadership of Commander Adama.

The sci-fi television series was well applauded and nominated in different award wining bodies such as Emmy's. Received its worldwide success and made popular in Europe, Australia and United States.

Universal Pictures has confirmed what was originally reported on HitFix.com that Bryan Singer, director of Valkyrie, will take on directing and producing duties for a BSG movie. Glen Larson, who created original series back in 1978, will produce as well. The film is not expected to be a continuation of current popular television show that’s running on the SyFy network but will be a complete re-imagining of the sci-fi lore that was invented by Larson back in the 70s.

Singer is said to be a big fan of the original 70's series, but the supposedly $10 million dollar paycheck for Singer probably also has an effect on his directorial willingness. Despite the talent behind it, this reboot is a bad idea. Singer did X-Men, but he also did Superman Returns.

Glen Larson, who created original Battlestar Galactica in 1978, will also serve as a producer.

Not much is known about the movie's plot, but it likely won't pick up where the TV show left off; look for it to be a total re-imagining of the universe that was created by Larson in the mid-70s.

Green Lantern movie - in trouble?

Latest news from the Warner Bros said that the production is thinking to shift its location to film the movie, Green Lantern due to the financial crisis happened that the Australian Dollar has climbed more than 16%. As the company is undergoing negotiations with the New South Wales States Government to win higher concessions in a bid to recover some of the money lost in the currency gains.

The plan for live action adaptation of DC Comics has been announced in 2007 as Greg Berlanti will co-write and direct the film. Berlanti worked on the some of the TV series like Dawson's Creek, Everwood and Brothers and Sisters. Co-writing the script will be Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green who both wrote for the Superman/Batman, Amazing Spiderman, Wolverine and Blade Comics.

One of the most enduring and popular characters made by DC Comics. Green Lantern was created in 1940, revolves around test pilot Hal Jordan, who is charged with defending a section of the universe after he finds a powerful ring that gives him infinite powers, including flight and invisibility.

Each of the Earth's Green Lanterns has been a member of either the Justice Society of America or the Justice League of America, and John Stewart was featured as one of the main characters in both the Justice League and the Justice League Unlimited animated series. The Green Lanterns are often depicted as being close friends of the various men who have been the Flash, the most notable friendships having been between Alan Scott and Jay Garrick (the Golden Age Green Lantern and Flash), Hal Jordan and Barry Allen (the Silver Age Green Lantern and Flash), and Kyle Rayner and Wally West (the modern age Green Lantern and Flash), as well as Jordan being friends with West. Taking You To A New Voyage Of Imagination

On of the most famous sci-fi TV series ever shown is Star Trek. In fact, the series is still very much popular today as when it was first shown in the sixties. And with a series with such a huge following, one can expect it to spawn numerous sequels and spinoffs.

Star Trek Voyager is one of the those sequels that aired after Star Trek become a hit. It was actually the fourth series made after the original one. The show was also notable as the first Star Trek TV series that employed computer generated imagery (CGI) in it's run. CGI totally replaced the used of scale models when filming the outer space scenes.

The series' premise follows the crew of the fictional spaceship USS Voyager as they travel the Milky Way galaxy in pursuit of an enemy spaceship. As with the other series in the franchise, each episode has the crew encountering and helping the alien races that they encounter in the planets that they visit. The conflicts between crew member is also still pretty much part of the show.

The series is notable in that it was the first series to feature an entirely new spaceship instead of the iconic USS Enterprise. The cast is also composed of new characters, with characters from the previous three series regularly appearing. The series also have many other first for the franchise, including the first female lead character to be the captain of the spaceship.

Arguably, one of the biggest things that draw many fans to Star Trek is the variety of fictional alien races that it features. And to this part, Voyager doesn't fail. The original crew have been complemented with newer races, with humans and Klingons still much present. There are also several new races presented outside of the crew. And interestingly, the differences between the races aren't merely cosmetic. The producers have gone to great lengths to present the fictional culture that each and everyone of these have. This definitely add a great deal to the voluminous Star Trek material that almost all of us remember today.

And story telling that also launched Star Trek into recognition by countless fans is still very much here. The conflicts presented still preserved the idea of Star Trek being the metaphor for real world issues. The presentation of the main characters is also very deep, which leads to an engaging story.

While the CGI seen in the series might considered very old by today's standards (the series was shown in 1995), they are still very much impressive. Also, the set designs are really well executed. This adds a lot to the realism of the show, which is a plus point to many viewers.

So for both fans and non-fans alike, the Star Trek Voyager DVD is definitely one set that you would want to have. The show will surely get you hooked in all of its episodes.

Wonder Woman live action- the movie

Another good news to all! The news said that the Live Action version of Wonder Woman is currently on planning stage once again! According to comicbookmovie, Warner Brothers and Silver Pictures are currently studying the project and hopefully to find new writers with the help of Andrew Roma and Joel Silver. A number of attempts, but none had succeed to develop the story.

Created by William Marston for DC Comics, Wonder Woman has special strength, speed, stamina and flight. Her mission is to bring peace, love and sexual equality to the world. Also she has an ability to communicate with animals. Made famous with her Lasso of Truth that bound to tell "the truth" and a pair of indestructible bracelets; of course the most controversial, invisible plane.

Her character first appreared in All Star DC Comics # 8 and appeared in the Justice Society and Justice League. She is considered as one of the most popular iconic female superhero in comics. And named as the twentieth greatest comic book character by Empire magazine. TV series, Wonder Woman was portrayed by Lynda Carter in the late 70s and it is said as one of the greatest female character on television. The character also appeared in cartoons such as the Super Friends and Justic League. The latest animated film was released in 2009, and earned favorable response to the fan community.

Who would you like to portray the role in the movie? Rumors spreading that several hollywood actresses would love to do the project. Yet, as of today no final updates about this one of a kind female superhero flick.

A Glimpse of Inspector Gadget

Based on the popular animated cartoon tv serie s, Inspector Gadget live action was filmed in some parts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Los Angeles, California. Dreaming to become the world's greatest police offer, John Brown (portrayed by Matthew Broderick) is a security guard for a science lab operated by robotics expert Brenda Bradford (Joey Fisher). When sudden unexpected circumstances made him to become an ideal candidate for a top secret law enforcement project. And build him into a man of many talents (of many gadgets too!). His mission is to save the world from the nefarious Claw.Rebuilt using different electronic parts due to accident, John has to undergo trainings to control and learn how to work on his gadgets but it always turn into a failure. Sanford Scolex (played by Ruper Everett) attacked Brenda's lab and steal some of her valuable's equipment and destroyed the chip that controls him.

An android clone of John (RoboGadget) takes place and destroy the entire city leaving damages everywhere creating chaos and darkness. Brenda later on discovered what happened to John and rescue him. A powerful kiss returned the robo-John back into life, that's the magic of love. The battle begins wherein Scolex tries to escape but he's been captured and arrested.

A special feature at the end of the film was shown wherein RoboBrenda (clone of Brenda) was teaching an aerobic class, and RoboGadget's headless body running around Riverton, and Penny with her new communication watch and Brain with his new collar that allows him to speak. And the man behind Brain's voice is none other than the original voice of Inspector Gadget animated series, Don Adams.

Inspector Gadget is known for being a half-human, half-robot but He still has a human heart.
