I am on the prowl (pardon the pun) for a new kitten. I am searching craigslist, and I applied at the humane shelter. My new roomies and I decided that we have always wanted an animal and if we could raise a kitten together, it'd be bonding and plus the baby kitten gets 4 parents who love on and play with them! If anyone has any new kittens they know of let me know! On the prowl...<br /><br />Try Watching this w/out smiling. On Wednesday afternoon I was reading for one of my classes, an article online, on my bed.....the next thing I know I wake up. Looking at the clock I realize I only drifted off for 10 minutes. I felt oddly sluggish, and I had to use the restroom really bad. I then realized getting up that my computer was on the ground and my bed looked like a mess. Not to mention that my body ached and my mouth was tight and dry. I checked my phone and clock and realized that maybe that 13 minute nap was me just sleeping HARD. I called a friend for a ride to Journalism class at 4....<br />I woke up 2 days later.....It wasn't Wednesday....and it was not a 13 minute nap. <br />So folks....when you don't sleep....your body will sleep for you.<br />The End.

Wedding!

My best friend back home gave me a call last Wednesday. Her fiance was being deployed in two weeks and they wanted to move the wedding up to MONDAY! I was the maid of honor so I rushed down there to help her find a dress, and the bridesmaid dresses. I also spent about 60 total hours helping design a 30,000 dollar wedding in 4 days. Not easy. And I slept about two hours. I crashed at the Bachelorette party and woke up the next day just in time for the rehearsal dinner. The wedding was a success and my best friend could not have been more beautiful. I got home this morning around 9 am and now to catch up on homework and quizzes. It was so worth it though!

Why I wear it....

I've had hundreds of people always ask me why I wear this ring on my ring finger. My reason: My father gave it to me when I was 16. I wear it for the first man in my life. And the next ring on that finger will be from my husband, the last man in my life. So there's that story. :-)

Leavenworth!

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8Jc2tfQ7iiI/TDz8X3vj6gI/AAAAAAAAABI/FZtgEqpJIxg/s1600/photo.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8Jc2tfQ7iiI/TDz8X3vj6gI/AAAAAAAAABI/FZtgEqpJIxg/s400/photo.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493543132515789314" /></a><br />This past weekend I visited Leavenworth with a few friends. We were going over to celebrate my friends birthday. My best friend Mauro Bozzo is employed over the summer at the Leavenworth Summer Theatre and is staying in an apartment over the summer with 3 other students from all over Washington that are also in the shows that he is in. He is in 3 shows, and is the lead in two of them. One of his roommates is another student at Western and she was in a few classes with me so I knew her pretty well. I braced the three and a half hour drive with my friend Gabe who also knows Mauro and we set out Friday night. Mauro was busy during the day Saturday and Sunday with rehearsals so Gabe and I would take advantage of those free hours and explore Leavenworth. Little to our knowledge, Eastern Washington is very different than the "westside" when it comes to weather. Saturday at 10 a.m. it was already 101 degrees and the temperature was still rising. We explored almost every shop and restaurant within two days while coming home and relishing in the air conditioned apartment. One hour outside was like a workout. We came home exhausted from the heat after having barely done anything all day. But in the end it was very fun and exciting to be exploring something completely new. On Monday, it was Mauro's birthday so Gabe, Mauro, and his three roommates all joined me in spending four hours on the river tubing. After tubing we all went to dinner and had a few drinks and laughs. Later that night after a few hours of game cube and jenga Gabe and I headed home for we both had class in the morning. After everything this weekend, I walked away with memories, smiles, and a sunburn that is killer.

Sunny Day Activities!!

Today I woke up at 8 af started my day off with a quick run to Starbucks. For that perfect summer drink I was feeling a little too warm for coffee. So instead I got a venti Iced Strawberry Lemonade with a pump of rasberry. For anyone out there....it's amazing! Don't forget the rasberry pump! I then headed off to a friends and enjoyed a few hours playing volleyball in their backyard. At around noon we got hungry so we took the little money we had and pooled it together to get footlong turkey subs at Subway. After that we all went and saw the new Avatar the Last Airbender movie by M Night Shame-alan. Ruined the movie. He changed the pronunciation of charcters and the title itself! Dissapointment to the max. Now I'm sitting on the dock of a friends house fishing with a cold ice tea. Welcome to Bellingham summer.

Fourth of July

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4IKrukVWsqP8_pxlAW98IPyBw-LQ0INI7MrinmV_coFjqBfh9ZK9gDG8Sayr730ebwZ5SorCCxdVSHHneIStEZUk_azMToG1rxqHEr0XpDfJHOR3hF5IBYZujhdD8XnRlPeqQYwU7RFrB/s1600/DSCN2326.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4IKrukVWsqP8_pxlAW98IPyBw-LQ0INI7MrinmV_coFjqBfh9ZK9gDG8Sayr730ebwZ5SorCCxdVSHHneIStEZUk_azMToG1rxqHEr0XpDfJHOR3hF5IBYZujhdD8XnRlPeqQYwU7RFrB/s320/DSCN2326.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490636502242873122" /></a><br />Yesterday was the fourth of July. My brother and I got up at dawn and went fishing on the lake that our cabin was on. We were out there for 6 hours and we each caught over 20 fish! We then trekked home and spent the next few hours gutting and cleaning the trout that we caught. After everything was wrapped and put in the freezer we went swimming and got in the hot tub with the rest of our family as the night came on us. From the comfort of our hot tube we all watched the fireworks everyone was setting off from their docks. My brother and dad soon joined in on the firework lighting and the rest of us drank our Sangria and headed to the bonfire my uncle made for a few more hours until it was difficult for all of us to trek up the hill to our cabin and pass out. All in all....a very successful fourth of July. Happy Independence Day everyone!!!

Moving on to the ever so present...

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMkDgEeTrLK6ZsmufCwqxPR3p2kuh6c9CCsBXXY2nn4Ds_gFBN5CILqGkwSJ_VxDD8NOQm2tPVIvPI8y_ewu-Zlmg59Y9pquc5HtO9h2sVs90aIHCjDkS71iY8B0VlHPUvGRiwsH4xkETL/s1600/36918_405768193263_501123263_4480645_1956434_n.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMkDgEeTrLK6ZsmufCwqxPR3p2kuh6c9CCsBXXY2nn4Ds_gFBN5CILqGkwSJ_VxDD8NOQm2tPVIvPI8y_ewu-Zlmg59Y9pquc5HtO9h2sVs90aIHCjDkS71iY8B0VlHPUvGRiwsH4xkETL/s320/36918_405768193263_501123263_4480645_1956434_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5489079924747215154" /></a><br />On Sunday June 27th, I attended Pride in Seattle with a group of about 20 or so friends. The parade was fun and the weather was perfect, but as soon as the group moved to the Seattle Center, it truly became a sight to see and a story to tell. Hours of dancing to special mixes by local DJ's, tons of information and food booths, Comedy and sketches by local queer artists, and hours of enjoyment as people from all over ran in and around the fountain. Some were dressed in costumes, others were barely dressed at all. In the end, if you like people watching and just having a great time with friends who are celebrating part of their identity, it's a great place to go and just be yourself for days.

The Beginning

I was born in Germany. Both my parents have been in and out of almost every military branch there is. My father went all the way to Special Forces and my mom a lieutenant. When I was 12, I woke up with a bad dream. My mom was overseas for 6 months and my father was home with my little brother and I. I walked into his room for some comfort. Instead, I found him and my moms best friend in bed together. When my mom got back a month later, I told her and it led to the ruin of their marriage and the little family I had left. My mom has seven brother and my father has five siblings. I've never met any of the three grandfathers I have, and as for aunts, cousins, and grandma's...once every two or three years minimum. By the time I was a senior in high school, I was already the adult in the family. My mom broke down after my dad leaving along with his 200 grand debt along with it. My mom was forced to work 3 jobs, and I got two part time jobs. I was up at 4, at school by 5:30 for show choir, off by 2:30 and at work from 3-8 or 9. I came home and did it all over again. I worked 10-11 hour days on the weekend, and together my mom and I crawled out of debt and into college loans. My parents are friendly now, because my father has no home anymore being on active duty all the time and overseas 11 out of 12 months of the year. I don't really see him or really remember who he is most of the time. For now...Bellingham and WWU has given me wings to become who I really am....because before all of this....I was a robot just trying to make up for telling my mother about my father and ruining the only three people that I called a family.
