First time for everything

2011-03-29T21:34:00.000-07:00

Not only is this the first time creating a blog, this is also going to be my first time trying out my dream job... photography.

I never knew what I wanted to do with my life. During school it was never a decision I was ready to make. I never thought I would find something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life until about 6 months ago. It started earlier then that, interest in photography that is. It really hit me was when I was at one of my brothers many concerts that I always snapped photos of, and I realized how much I loved it. I loved capturing moments in time that someone could cherish forever.

I have never had a fancy camera or a computer with expensive software to do editing, but I am working on it! It has been a slow start, but its something that I think about every day and I can't wait to see if it is something that I am really going to enjoy and get good at.

I can see myself going back to school for something like this. I can see myself being able to have a family and also be able to work to pay the bills. I can see myself doing something that I love for the rest of my life! How many people do you know that actually love their jobs? Not too many these days.

I have been given a great opportunity to actually try this out on a more professional level and I give many thanks and love to Pete and Lori for letting me use them as guinea pigs. Pete and Lori are getting married this August and I am lucky enough to do some engagement pictures and if all goes well wedding photos also.

I have ALOT to learn and I am very eager to do it. I know that I have support from my wonderful husband and family and I will keep everyone posted on my progress. Hopefully this will turn in to the career I dream it to be instead of just the hobby that I love.
