10. Skype

Im sure most of you have used Skype on your PC or laptop, its a great way to keep in contact with people for free via video calling. You can take it with you where ever you go and its perfect if youre traveling abroad as it will avoid racking up a massive phone bill calling home. Best part about it is the app is free!

9. TuneIn Radio

Sometimes I get bored of listening to my ITunes library. Fortunately your IPad can now be the best radio youve ever owned. The TuneIn Radio app lets you listen to any radio station in the world and its simple to use no tuning.

8. BBC Iplayer

The BBC iplayer, ITV player and 4OD player all work really well on the IPad. If you miss any of your favourite programs you can catch up with them wherever you are.

7. CineXPlayer

This is a great video player app which lets you take your favorite TV shows and Movies with you on the go. It costs a couple of pounds but Ive tried free ones and this is defiantly the best. To get content on to the app just attach it to your ITunes and copy the files you want on to the app.

6. Dropbox

Some of you may already use Dropbox on you laptop or PC and now you can get it on your IPad. It allows you to view files on your IPad and also view them on your PC/laptop. This enables you to exchange any kind of file between your computer and IPad without having to connect it to your ITunes.

5. Sky+

If you have a Sky+ box this is a great app as no matter where you are you can access the tv guide and record your favourite show so you can watch them when you get home. It also has a great search function just in case you forget when the shows on. Also, its free so why not?

4. Echofon

I enjoy a good tweet so a good twitter app is a must have and Echofon is the best app Ive come across (Ive tried a lot) there is a free version and a pay version. Theyre pretty much the same apart from the pay version doesnt have an advert in the bottom left hand corner of the screen but it doesnt bother me.

3. Pocketbooth

This is a great app that allows you to take old school style photobooth pictures. It cost 69p in the app store but that seems like a really good deal, there are plenty of options in the app and its great fun to play around with.

2. Snapseed

Everyone likes playing with pictures theyve taken and Snapseed is my favorite app for this. It gives you more control unlike some apps that have built in presets (although its no photoshop). The app costs a couple of pounds but I think its well worth it to add some interest to your pictures.

1. Flipboard

This last app is probably my favourite although its not the most exciting. I like to view content from all over the internet, articles, blogs, images and videos. This app acts like a newspaper/magazine so you tell it what you want to see and it will put it all in one place for you to view.

Actually this book wont make you funny and neither will this post but for the week I read Michael McIntyres book for some reason I felt it (probably hugely misplaced!) Reading the book it seems the secret to being funny is the sequence of events that string his life together. Its hard to even begin to believe that all these things could have happened to just one man, if he hadnt become a comedian it would have been a travesty and a waste of good material.

I picked this book up in the airport because Im a big fan of his work and also I like to read while I sit in the sun! On my last holiday I read Alan Carrs book Look Who It Is! and it was hilarious! It had me laughing to myself and everyone around me wondering who the weirdo next to them was. Im glad to say Michaels book pretty much does the same job. The book is written in a style that makes you feel like hes talking to you and his sense of humor works just as well on the page. Throughout the book hell stick a gag linking back to something hes mention earlier which makes the book flow and connect well.

Brits Abroad

When they first announced the film I was worried that the show might not transfer to the big screen, as many TV shows don’t, but it worked! It was like an extra long episode, something I’ve always wished for. The film is filled with all the usual trouble that the gang get up to but with a twist as they decide to take a lads trip to Malia…and I’m sure you can guess how that’s going to turn out. I don’t want to say anymore than that as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Especially as I’m now going to say ‘EVERYONE GO SEE THIS FILM!’ ALso it’s a British comedy so you’ve got to go give it some love.

P.S If you don’t find the T.V show funny you best not go as you really won’t enjoy this experience.

Jessie J playing all the other parts doing the jobs that her ‘class mates’ probably do now while she’s living it up. It must be said the little girl is a pretty good match to Jessie I could well believe thats what she looked like as a kid. Jessie’s found her mini me!

It was all very last minute and I didn’t get to meet the team until the night before but I had a good feeling from many telephone conversations with Janet and Peter that everything was going to be great. We had a talk through the night before with the team over a couple of drinks in a very nice bar restaurant.

We started rehearsals early the next day [show day] with everyone focused and working hard to make it happen. The models and dancers did a great job picking up my choreo’ in the short time we had. It was make or break time and our first client run through Janet. She loved my piece and there was just enough time to head over for a tech’ rehearsal, hair styled and dressed in time for the show.

The Team

Despite the suspense I have to say that the Team were the nicest Guys and Girls to work with. They made my job a delight and all the more sweeter ………….when we won the main prize. I couldn’t have been any happier for the Team they truly deserved it!
I may be a little biased but it’s true to say They were the best Team on the night and they’d worked so hard for it!

Winners!

The weekend also included doing an acoustic set with Holly, where I would be playing guitar and Holly singing. The 4 hour car journey gave plenty of practice time! – with Bob acting as audience.

The gig went so well and the Raddisson was a great venue overlooking the river. it was our first gig with our ‘new boy’; we’ve been having many rehearsals over the past few weeks to get him up to speed on all the vocals and choreography. He did a great job on the night and did FYD proud!

It was also great to get a chance to hang out after our sound check before the gig. Its was a lovely afternoon and Liverpool is such a beautiful city with such a buzzing atmosphere, it did help that it was a beautiful day in town. The boys enjoyed a wander round Liverpool 1 and I had to pay a little to trip Vivienne Westwood – one of my favourite designers. Las Iguanas was on our wish list but unfortunately time flew and the gig took priority.

After the gig and a bit of partying round ‘Town’ with Ben & the boys we got back to our digs and the after party in Warrington. It’s always nice to arrive to a big banner on the wall from some of our loyal fans. Thanks Millie & Jamie.

As I said it was nice to get to hang out with the family – we always have such an awesome time. It was great to get some chill time with them on the Sunday morning.

After one of George & Lyn’s amazing Sundays Brunches it was time to head back to London.
