MANY predictions say 2012 was the year of the Hour. The theory of the universe destruction Maya people have been popularized through film 2012 film of 2009 so that it won a global collection of U.S. $ 769 million (RM2.3 billion). "The increased magnetic energy in the atmosphere is expected to produce radiation that can lead to power electric generators increased dramatically," he said. She said, the last time the sun broke out was in 1859, leaving two thirds of the space turned into a red earth. Expected, the event can be seen once again with some major cities like London, Paris and New York experienced a storm cloud in 2012 or 2013. I was on holiday on the island recently. The island is Sapi Island that located in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. During a stroll around the island, I saw the Komodo Lizard. This lizard is very big than normal lizards & according to tour operators on the island, this lizards are widely exist in the area of the island. It's amazing when you can see this Komodo Lizard because you'll feel like on Madagascar Island:-)

Cannot Enter Room???

Hello, I have experienced events that cannot enter the room because the room is locked or left the keys in the room. Usually when I want to quickly get important work paper and others. Waiting my roommates back to room is to waste my time and to get the duplicate key is need to pay. Finally my friend in reserve army teach me how to open the locked door with the leather shoe. Sound like a little bit weird right? But this is real & I used to try it & amazingly its really work! The technique is just hard knock on the door spreader surface & quickly daub the door spreader after hard knock on it. It should be work. Just try it!

First semester break kicks off. Now all my house mates has gone back to their home. Hmmm ... I'm alone in here. But never mind because I have the mission to be performed. Mission of bearing the weight, but also for the future of me. The mission is preparing a thesis that has been entrusted to complete. Actually the time given to make this thesis a bit long but I just want to start preparing this thesis, because I want to relax & enjoy the next semester! I look forward to completing this thesis and I will try during this semester break to complete the thesis. Let me not to come home & I will not return as long as the thesis is not ready. Hopefully I managed to complete a thesis that & get a degree when I graduated at the university.

I have read in a someone's blog about weight loss & I am attracted to a process which is said to be very helpful in managing & restore their body fat. The process is called ketosis. Ketosis is a process of burning carbohydrates for energy. Originally our body will burn fat for energy, but due to loss or diminution of fat in the body, the body finally had to burn carbohydrates instead. This process has several signs of poor appetite & dizziness. For anyone who wants to lose weight should try a diet that allows the process of ketosis is valid. Exams are boring us. Each time the examination, we have to learn or revise the lessons learned. If you take too many subjects that have so much, we look back & many subjects that we must take the exam. Sometimes some of our friends who have completed the examination in advance of us & this will certainly make you feel depressed when we know it & seeing friends returned home early (for those who live in the dorms). I also felt satisfied with this situation. It is sad too but we had to wait until we actually test completion. Examinations week are also very boring because people are busy learning & some are busy with their own. Some are out of the city, have fun, sleep all day & so on because the paper was soon occupied. For me this common scenario when the big exam. The desire to learn it must arise from our own & when to learn by force even if is very difficult for us to understand what was learned. Therefore, we must be prudent in planning time studying and time for exercise or others. Examination is not intended to punish us but to see how far our understanding of the lessons they have learned. Whether we fail or pass it up to us.

Many people do not like dogs especially like to bite people. This is because the dog bite contains many bacteria that can cause tooth latch. Vicious dog can also cause fear to do the daily work, especially for women. I also do not like dogs, but my friends have told me how to deal with dogs & here it is:

1. Do not run away when confronted with a dog

2. Do not look eye dogs & just do not heed them

3. If a dog approaches or attempts to attack you, quickly pretend to bow to take a stone. This will make that dog be left out immediately because of fear thrown with stones.

4. You can also pretend to sit down when faced with the dog because the dog would run away when you do so.

5. Try to control your fear when confronted with the dogs because they can detect your fear and most probably you will be attacked.

The problem that too sad for missing family called homesick. To students who have homesick, you must strengthen your spirit because your parents at home very expect of your success. Among the factors that cause homesick are the far distance from home, not a desire to be in a far place, never felt a hard life or sense of independence and feel trapped. Here are eight tips to overcome homesick:

1. Recognize & accept the fact that you really miss your home (the family). Let your sense of feeling down until it gradually disappears.

2. Engage in activities organized by the hostel or college so you do not get bored & forget the feeling of homesick.

3. Familiarize yourself with the new environment. You can bring your favorite items to the dorm or college to help you familiarize yourself.

4. Try to be open. The more you open to new things so indirectly you will begin to forget the old stuff. It may help you forget that feeling of homesick.

5. Good at communicating. Do not be quiet and try to communicate with people around to adding friends. Many friends who will make you feel a sense of fun and then forget about homesick.

6. Always keep in touch with your parents at home.

As we know, the forest community in the world today is faced with various problems and conflicts that could threaten their lives and the forests. Therefore, we must recognize the problem or conflict that we can assist in distributing proposals to overcome them. Among the issues or conflicts faced by community forests are listed below:

1. Financial support

The most critical in terms of livelihoods and the relatively weak generation of financial capital for the forest dependent poor and women.

2. Forest degradation

The livelihoods of the local forest dependent communities, particularly the poor and disadvantaged, have not improved as expected.

3. Community Forestry policy

The implementation of community forestry policy has inflicted added costs to the poor, such as reduced access to forest products and forced allocation of household resources for communal forest management with insecurity over the benefits.

4. Issue of Community

The poorest are the ones who are suffered the most since they cannot afford to participate and hardly speak, are rarely heard and benefit from community forestry. The unequal social structure in terms of class, caste, gender and regional disparity, there is unequal access to decision-making, to opportunities, to contribute and to benefits.

5. Management Issues

Yet there is little experience related to the ways government agencies can best decentralize resource use authority, and support the establishment of effective local community controls. Beside that, forest may be converted to agricultural land or tree plantations.

6. Institutional issues in community forestry

From the earliest human communities, people throughout the world have had to decide who could use what resources, when, where and how. These rules, created by people to manage their resources, are defined here as institutional arrangements. Land and tree tenure regulations and various procedures that communities develop to deal with conflict are clearly institutional arrangements.

I hope we keep also the interests of forest communities around the world as they also have an interest & need the attention of people outside. They also should be defended because they also help maintain and manage the forests in the world. Measures should be taken so that no problems or conflicts they have had.

I've learn remote sensing while I'm studying in university. I found this thing is very interesting & I feel like a scientist or astronaut when I learn this thing. Ok, what is Remote Sensing? It is a science in which an object is observed from a distance & analysis without touching the object. This is similar to the principle of seeing an object with our own eyes. In remote sensing the observed object is the earth's surface. The platform is a satellite or an airplane. Sensors in the platform may represent either a passive sensor (which depends on the sun for a radiating object) or active sensors (which does not depend on the sun). Remote sensing can be divided into three segments, namely space segment, ground segment & consumer segments.

Among the uses of remote sensing are:

1. Environmental monitoring - Detect illegal logging activities in the catchment area & Detecting illegal exploration of forest reserves, mangrove swamps & watersheds.

2. Management of natural resources - A tool to plan & manage areas such as watersheds, nature reserves & others. It also can detect areas that may experience landslides.

3. Disaster management - Flood management, preventive & corrective actions.

4. Infrastructure planning - Roads, highways, power lines / electrical or proposed pipeline. Beside that, the proposed tower construction area of telecommunications (by using the 3D satellite image).

I've learn some knowledge about chemical plants & it really is proven to cure some chronic diseases. Now there are thousands of species of medicinal plants around the world. Species of medicinal plants have potent effects as it contains several chemicals that are good for health and able to fight the disease. Among the chemicals found in plants is:

1. Alkaloids: Alkaloids containing amino acids. Used to relieve pain Example alkoloid is nicotine, cocaine and morphine. The bark of the Cinchona tree contains quinine which is used to treat malaria.

2. Flavonoids: Flavonoids have medicinal values such as antioxidant, anti-allergic, anti-inflammation, anti-microbial, anti-cancer and cardiovascular disease (heart disease). Green tea contains high amounts of flavonoids.

3. Saponin: Saponin lather like soap when dissolved in water. Believed regulate cholesterol in the body and has anti-cancer activity. Rambutan, soy beans and asparagus contain this saponin material.

4. Terpen: Terpen used for products smell like pine oil, turpentine oil and oil Kamper.

One country that has the Malaysian medicinal plants. Scenario of traditional medicinal plants in Malaysia for now will focus on a few species that have been popularly used by local people, such as:

The Flood

Recently I have been carrying out a study on the phenomenon of flooding in the one place that always floods every year. These are located in the southern Philippines near Sabah. Actually, this place is too close to rivers. According to residents, there is a diversion from other rivers are made towards the river and eventually the river will not be able to accommodate so much water that suddenly, so that it can overflow the banks of the river & eventually beyond the flood. Among other factors is that there is trash-waste in rivers, human activities that build a settlement that destroyed the mangrove forests that can sustain a flood, and there are not responsible for the act of cutting down trees in watersheds. It is hoped that the government can take appropriate action to resolve this issue because according to the people it has lasted for so long.
