Don't trust online banking??

Most people use online banking to make payment and i thought it is a good simply because I dont like to line up in the bank for half a day just to make one simple transaction.

But not to my father, he said he rather wait in the bank and make payment at counter. Why? because he said if go online, and if anyone knows the password, they will trasfer your money just in few second.

I try to tell him the same will happen even if he dont go online...and he said by not going online, he cut down the risk....I try to explain to him, but 2nd thought, I think let him feel safe with his own method in handling money and sleep well at night.

To be frank, I dont trust online banking too yet I still use it because of time constrain.

I have sore throat, I have headache, my whole body is aching, I also have fever but not so high, also feeling very tired! I am not so worry when it happen on the first day, and just took the ponstan and the fever pill which are left over from my last visit to doctor many months ago.

Yesterday night, I felt so cold even when I covered with 2 layer of blanket and felt whole body is aching then suddenly this scary thought came to me...Oops, looks like very similar symptoms of the H1N1. From then on, I had a sleepless night waiting for morning to come, so that I can go to doctor to check.

I went to the doctor and waited with worried that its the H1N1......When I see the doctor, the doctor said yes I have very high fever 38 deg, which caused my body aching...but the main cause of the fever and headache is my tonsils problem...not the H1N1...What a relieves!

The doctors also advise to take more plain water to recover and do not kiss my darling girl on her mouth or feed her food which I ate directly from my mouth because he said the human sliver is more dirty than the dog sliver!!!!

A bad tooth

Today I decided to extract one toot which always causing my gum to swell. Its not an easy decision, because I have not done so in 30 years. Another reason is I want to keep all my teeth till my last breath.....if possible.

Even the dentist also try to keep it, she too do not want me to extract it. I went to see her since last year and have been visiting her quite often for this particular tooth. Yesterday I went to see her and tell her my concern, she advise me to see another specialist for 2nd opinion before she extract my tooth.

Today, the specialist said my gum will keep swelling, because there is small crack on the tooth. Its not serious but will weaken my gum. So, the opinion is to extract it. I give no second thought to extract it on the spot, because I afraid if I think it over, I will have no gut to extract the tooth.

Hmm,...I lost my tooth after keeping them for 30 years.

Check your receipt printout

When we make payment, what do we normally check? the amount paid right? Well, for the next time when you make payment, please also go through others print out at your reciept, because there are some code which will make your payment goes to other people's account.

Here is my latest experience. I made payment for astro bill at a nearby post office. As usual, I only check the total amount paid then keep my receipt. After one month, I receive sms from Astro saying my account has due and need to make immediate payment before they cut my line.

Upon checking my latest bill, I notice that my payment on 5th June was not printed in the bill. Which mean my payment has not reach astro. I dig out my receipt and preparing to call and complaint to astro for not updating the bill...then only I notice that there is something not right at my June receipt.

The account number printed at the bottom of the receipt by the post office is wrong. It printed xxxxx55567, but my account is xxxxx55671. I went to the same post office and told them the probelm. It is lucky that the staff at post office accepted that is their mistake and assist me to contact astro for the mistake.

So next time, when make payment, check all the printed out in your receipt.

Something in the soup

Last Sunday, we went to shop at Tesco Melaka and my daddy suggest to have Pizza. Though this Pizza is not the Pizza shop that I like most but daddy said they all the same.

After taking our order, the waitress told us that the soup area is self service. So, my daddy went to take the soups. As I am with my little girl, my daddy take one bowl of soup for me first.

Its my normal practice to make few stir of the soup before taking it. To my surprise I saw some black thing in the soup. First I thought it may be veges then I try to scoop it up, its an insect!!!!

I quickly get the waitress to look at the soup and told her is insect in the soup..To my surprise, she said "I don't know....." I ask her what she meant by saying don't know. She answer, the soup is prepare by the kitchen, so she don't know what is it. My goodness....I was so angry and told her to get the PIC to come and see.

Waited for 10 minutes, no one came to us then I saw one of the man came out from the kitchen and bring the stew pot to the kitchen. I ask the same waitress what is happening then only she said they are making new soup. I told her make sure they really change the soup or else they will get few days off.

They only cover healthy person

I am talking about the insurance, they only care for those 100% healthy. Why I say this??? definitely I have come across problem with insurance.

The story start somewhere 4 years back. I have cough problem which last 6 months and was cured by doctor using the asthma gas. Only at that point I was told that I have asthma, which never come across to me because our family do not have asthma problem.

My parent cannot accept that I have asthma and they get me some special ginseng powder from one relative. It took almost 2 years before I don't have to use asthma spray.

Then come one friend happen to be insurance agent and trying to sell me Insurance. I told him I don't have a lot of money to invest, he then proposed to buy medical card. Well, that's sound acceptable to me. I told this agent, I was diagnose with asthma problem and still using spray some times. This agent was so confident that he can arrange it and get me the medical card. The agent said I only need to go for medical check up and he will handle everything. You know what happen, the doctor he bring me to see only ask me few question and do not really do any check up. Later, I never heard from this insurance guys any more.

Lately, when I want to buy insurance for my baby girl, I met another agent from the same company. He told me, my name was listed in their company as asthmatic patient and being rejected to buy insurance. (I regret that I told the last agent that I have asthma....I should have keep quiet.)

Lucky this insurance agent is helpful and he bring me to their company doctor and request for a full check up. This agent told me the doctor said I am very healthy and do not have any sign of asthma. I just keep my finger cross when he said I should not have problem to get the insurance. Yesterday, this agent call me up and tell me the good news. My insurance application has been approved.

So, the conclusion is you must be healthy when you buy insurance or you wouldn't be accepted for the insurance and will be blacklisted in their company list.

Concern or Busy Body???

My sister call me and tell me that someone is saying something about me. Well, I thought I don't have any secret to keep from anyone. After checking then only I know this someone is talking about me leaving my job 3 months ago...those kind of thing.

Well, that does not sound very funny, but the funny part is this "KePoh" (busybody)fellow who is talking about me to a person who is not related to me and don't even know who I am. Must be wondering how my sister come to know about this.

The relation goes like this - "The busybody" has a friend having a spectacle shop. And the spectacle shop is sharing the shop with a photo shop. The photo shop owner is my sister's father in law. I am not that close to my sister's father in Law. And this busybody also don't know my sister. So, why talk about me????I almost want to scream out " Why talk about me?????" I am not a superstar!

If want to show concern, I can be contacted, but dont ask anything about me through so many route! I hate busybody around me.....!

Daddy's birthday!

1ST June - Daddy's birthday!

For many years I bought him shirt, watch, shoes and later turn to cash "ang pau" because he has not wear those shirts or shoes I bought. He will remind me not to buy any more for him because he said he has too many especially the shirts and shoes.

Actual fact, he only like to wear those old shirt and old shoes he use to wear.I knew my daddy loves precious stone...but I am not good at choosing a perfect one for him. That is why I just give him ang pau.

I have been thinking to treat him at a newly open restaurant in town, but he refused. At last, I bought him a birthday cake, which I never buy before....should said shame of us as his children, never thought of the birthday cake....only think of food....food!

I knew he is very happy and surprise to see a birthday cake for him this year. Although he keep saying "why need to buy the cake....but his smiling face and happy voice tell me he is very very surprise.

Happy birthday daddy!

Little Girl turn up Mummy

Only 10 months did not contact my friend Ally, today she gave me 2 surprises. 1st she already married and 2nd she is going to become mummy next month.

Times fly so fast and this little girl who came to my work place as trainee many years ago, now going to become mummy like me too. At that time, she and another girl - who we like to call Mimi came to our office to work. They are very fresh and very naive too.

As our lady boss is the type of emotional lady all the time, these two young girls always being bully...yeap bully by the boss.I as the "tai kah jie" in the office, always teach them to fight back our boss or act don't know....Hmmm, never teach them a good thing! so shame of me!

My first mothers' day

Last year mother's day I am just a mother to be and can't really feel how is it to have child during this mother day.

This year I am a mother to a 8 months old baby. Although my baby not yet understand about this special occasion, but I tell you, this is a totally different occasion for me.

For the passed 30 over years mother's day, my feeling just a children celebrating mother's day for my mother. This year I have different feeling and I felt so much grateful for my mother as I never before.

All this thanks so much to my baby, who come to me and given me such an honour title. I love you baby and I love you mother!

They just need to be scold!

Sometimes, I just dont understand those internet provider personnel. When we ask for something politely, we just dont get it. But when you yelled at them you will get it real soon.

I complain few times about my internet line is unstable and very corporative to try all sort of testing. I even change all my modem to new set just to make sure that it is the line problem and not other. At the end of the day, I dont get the problem solve.

When I call again and talk to them as if yelling at them and showing not tolerating manner, they then willing to send a technician the very next day . And it is confirm that the line is not functioning. The problem immediately solve within the same day.

So, if you are having same problem like me with those personnel, try not to be so corporative and demand for technician to come over. However, we must first make sure all our connection are in order.

Try, test and monitor!

I call the broadband provider to complaint about unstable line. Their techinician over the phone are so polite to tell me they want me to do some testing so that they can check what is my problem. This is really getting to my nerve and I was so mad almost rising my voice saying I dont want to do testing again and again...because I have been doing it many times in 2 weeks. The answer still the same and nothing improved.

The next thing making me boiling is when I told them I want a techincian to check at my place,the lady over the phone said, "If so, I need to have the report and you need to do all the checking for me before I can put in request......"

After another round of checking and finally she said, we will arrrange technician to come to me in 2 days time. To be frank, the technician turn up today but I wasnt in. I hope tomorrow they can really repair my line.

My "pau" didnt "bloom"

Everybody said now is easy to make pau at home. Just buy ready mix "pau" flour and we can make our own. We can put in any filling we want. Because I am doing the pau at night when my baby is sleeping.I decided to make a simple peanut filling. I bought a packed of ready to eat peanut and blend it.

I dont know if I have missed out any step or left the dough to prove too long - i left it more than 30 minutes, because my baby wake up. The "pau" slunk down when I open up the wok cover. On top of the slunk "pau", my filling is too much and very salty too.

Its a failure....but my loving daddy and mummy said the pau texture is good...only the filling is too much and salty. Ended up, we throw away part of the filling and finish the pau.

I will try again and this time may be put in the "kaya" instead and hopefuly the pau can bloom like a full moon.

Back care exercise

I started to do exercise since I was in secondary school. At that time, the main reason is because I am school track and field sports women. After I left school I still do exercise and those day is because I want to keep my self fit....other words is to keep slim cause I am a bit oversize.

I stop exercise when I got pregnant and till now I have not start doing exercise again. 3 days ago I suddenly got backache and cannot turn my self up easily. I thought I must have stress my self last week when my nanny is away.

I waited for 2 days thought it will go away if I have enough sleep. But it is not. I went to see doctor yesterday and first thing the doctor ask is do you do any exercise, I said I stop almost one and half year. The he ask do you carry any heavy thing. I told him I only carry my 6 months old baby, which is 8 kgs by now.

The doctor check my back and told me that my back seems ok but a bit tight. He told to do some simple exercise as shown in his flyer. He said my problem is because I lack of exercise and the only solution is to do the exercise at home for 2 weeks then go to see him again if I dont feel better.

I am relieve to hear that I am not diagnose with any serious problem.

Make complaint about complaint

Haiz.....I hate to have this unsolve problem on the internet connection.

I called many time to complaint about the service and the answer I get is "we will lodge a report for you...". As Jess said before " to make a report about the earlier complaint not solve or about the internet connection is not good?"

I am helping hubby on the business and need to go online every day, actually every minutes we need to communicate with customer online. Now with this lousy connection, I cannot send out my message and wasting lot of time on waiting.

This also make me become lazy to update my blog......angry....angry....If there is another provider, I will definitely change it immediately.

Work from Home

I guess most people do come across this tpye of advertisement. It sounds really attractive....you get lots of money just doing some simple typing at home.

Months ago when I just resign and I thought since I am staying at home, may be I can try out this simple typing job and get some income. So, I log into one of the website. What make me very confident is because they make the whole arrangement so serious. First of all, you will need a "leader" to guide you in the "business". They will ask you if you are serious in getting income, how many hours can you spare and all sort of question. Before they really "recruit" you in you need to attend a so called online briefing. That make me believe they are real.

I still think it is ok because they are talking about a health care products which they sell.At the end of the briefing the so called "leader" call me up and ask me what do I think about the briefing. I told her I only know they are selling some health care products and I am ok to work with them.

When I ask the leader how do I start selling, the leader told me that I need to pay some USD45-00 to get the online package before I can start selling. Woooh.....that sounds something wrong to me. At last I just told the leader that what they offer is not what I expect.

So, for those who try to work from home...understand fully about the system and dont just get cheated by the online advertisement for "work from home" because you may just pay out money instead of getting income.

Steam Cake - finally

Finally I made a cake today. I have been thinking to make some cakes or muffin when I resigned one month ago. It is always think is easier than doing it. I thought I can adjust my time easily but I only able to adjust my time today.

This is the steam cake I made using AMY BEH recipe. Hmmm, it taste a little bit too sweet because the recipe use one tin of condensed milk. I think I will change it to 3/4 tin of condensed milk next time.

Here is the recipe :-

Ingredient : - 175g plain flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 130 g margarine
- 3 eggs ( I used medium size )
- 1 tin condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp vanila essence.

Method :
- Grease & Flour a 20cm round or square cake pan
- Beat margarine until light and fluffy then add in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in condensed milk and add essence, fold in shifted flour and mix well to blend to a batter like consistency.
- Turn out batter into prepare pan. Steam over high heat for 30 minutes and continue to steam at medium heat for 15 minutes or till the cake is cooked.

A blog about my baby

When I knew I got pregnant, I wanted to write down every single little changes in me during the pregnancy. However, I didnt manage to do it because the lazy worm in me.

When I gave birth, I told myself I have missed out the pregnancy story, now I must not missed out my baby girl growing up story. Well, I always thought I can but ended up, I still didnt manage to start any writing about her yet.

Now she is already 5 months old and I finally started my new blog to write all about her. I hope I am able to write down all the great moment with her since birth.

I thought I am free...

After leaving my jobs, I thought I am free and can do a lot of the thing that I want to do...such as writting blog. Hmm, I am wrong. I am more busy than when I am working. Must be wondering what did I do.

Well, I just work out the thing that making me busy than ever...
1st - I wake up 2 hours late than last time because no rush to prepare for work.
2nd - I have more laundry to do. Why? because I thought since I will have time to wash my laundry, I let my baby to wear napkin instead of diapers at night. That make my laundry basket full of napkin in the morning.
3rd - My girl growing now and need to prepare some solid food for her to eat at 10am and 3pm. Why not get ready mix....because I like to prepare food.
4th - I cook 3 time a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner.
5th - I like to mop my floor everyday after cook.

These are the thing that I do now, and I already have no time to write blog, to bake cakes or do sewing. Only 5 major chores at home so far, I already busy like a bee, cannot imagine when my girl go to school and I need to check on her school assignment.

Hmmm, only now I realise staying at home not an easy job compare to working in office. Hey, for those who are working in office, if your mother or anyone who take care of your house chores complaint that they are tired, do give them some encouragement. Because doing house chores are not easy job and it is priceless..!

Finally....This is the day!

Finally, ...this is the last day with Fudex. A mixed feeling about leaving the job, after all I have been working for 20 solid years since I left school. Hmmm,...should say its the early retirement for me.

I thought of sending all my colleague a goodbye note, but that will make me very emotional later on. What ever is it, all their friendship and guidance during my working life here will always keep deep inside my heart.

Well. This is it. Got to go and start my new life challenge!

Http & Https ....they are different!

I received email from a friend about Http & Https. Here you goes :-

**The main difference between http:// and https:// is It's all about keeping you secure** HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol,which is just a fancy way of saying it's a protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) For information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients.

The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS. The S (big surprise) stands for " Secure". If you visit a website or webpage, and look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following: http://. This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular 'unsecure' language. In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website. If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an http website! But if the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

If a website ever asks you to enter your credit card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://. If it doesn't, there's no way you're going to enter sensitive information like a credit card number.

After reading the above email, I quickly check those bank website which I use to deal with....oh my goodness, all the website are only using http....does this mean that our bank detail will eavesdrop by anybody????? so worry.

Really ? Why never tell me?

Hmmm, actually its really nice to have old friend calling up to chit chat but there is one thing that I am not fond of answering when I tell them something, they will ask " Really? Why never tell me?".....Friend, what do you expect me to answer?

May be I should let everybody know that I am the typical Capricorn and don't really like to tell everything especially when come to personal matter. Haiyah...need to tell meh? Sometime, personal matter could be very burden to the listener.

I dont like to ask so much about my friend's personal matter unless they tell me. When come to family problem, I will become emotional too. That is the reason I don't like to know too much or else I will become more stressful then them ( I knew I will because I am too kepoci!)

So, Why never tell? because I am not in mood to tell...hahahaha!

Rear car seat belt.

Recently the government rules out all passenger sitting at the rear seat must put on seat belt. Whoever not using the seat belt will be summons 300 per passenger. However, cars without the rear seat belt are allow to have 3 years to put the seat belt.

My car do not have seat belt for the rear seat, but I am ok without it because I dont have any passenger. However, I still register my car for the free seat belt fitting - the date given is 5-9-2009....Its 5th Sept 2009. Well, that still ok to me, after all it is free.

There is one person who is very concern about me not having the rear seat belt. Not my parent, not my darling....just a neighbour. Must be wondering why she is so concern. Because she want to have a lift in my car after works everyday. She is asking me why I have not fix the seat belt every time she saw me. The last I told her I already make booking but its Sept...guess what she said? She said.."why so late?." I almost want to scream out " Aiyoo...auntie, can you just dont ask so much question."

Lousy service provider

Lousy service provider make me waited for hours and still cannot get online properly. I should claim from them my lost for waiting hours to get me online. Also claim my business lost for not able to send out my orders.

I cannot understand the problem and hate to do the complain over the telephone because they ask me what is the telephone pole numbers, which I dont know where and I think they should know when I tell them my telephone number. Then ask me to check this and check that...lastly tell me to go to their service counter to lodge the report. Haiz....tell me earlier that they can't fix over the phone rather than ask so many question.

Thinking of switching to another broadband server P1 but they do not have coverage at my area. What to do?

Plan after CNY

I yet to have a solid plan what I will be doing after next weeks. Darling just want me to be a fulltime housewife taking care of baby, but I am doubt if I will be able to do that. Not because I cannot take care of baby but I have been working since I left school and moving around very often. I am worried I cannot stand to stay at home with baby all day long.

When I am working I use to think I want to do this, I want to do that when I am free. Now that I am free, I suddenly become a bit blank. Too many things I want to do and dont know which one should go first.

May be just dont think too much now and enjoy my CNY first then only start doing my planing. Afterall the "Star" said, I will be jobless for the begining of the year. So take it easy and enjoy it.
