When it comes to skincare products, I love buying items that have multi-puroposes. It makes items more forgiving if they're on the pricier side. A great example is Josie Maran's Argan Oil. It could be considered an expensive skincare item to some of us, but you can use it for so many things in your beauty regimen! You can work it into your hair and your skin from the face, all the way down to your toes! Listed above are some things I use argan oil for.

I like to get Josie Maran's Argan Oil on the Sephora website simply because they come in 3 different sizes. So if you're unsure about investing $48.00 in the regular sized bottle, you can definitely try the travel size for $16.00. The travel size bottle may look small, but a little oil goes a long, long way. Plus! If you're going to order it online, you can use Ebates to get cash back on your purchase at Sephora!

I also found a cheaper alternative for those of you who want to give Argan Oil a try, but Josie Maran is not in the price range you're trying to be in. Amazon has a high-rated 100% Argan Oil for around $14.00.

Review

With all honesty, this palette is by far one of my favorites. There are some downfalls to this palette, but I feel that the quality and the colors incorporated in this palette really outweighs the negatives.

Cons

1. Fallout: There is a lot of fallout when using these eyeshadows. I find that the matte eyeshadows aren't so much of a problem; the shimmery shadows are the ones that get messy. I feel that they are loosely packed so they get all over your palette and can fall on your bottom eye area when applying it, so you just need to be very careful. Just be sure to tap off any access shadow on your brush and you should be fine!

2. Weak Packaging: The packaging is a cardboard material, which makes it a little difficult to travel with. The cardboard is easy to dent and it may not be safe to bring on vacation with. Another thing is that the closure is a small magnetic clasp. The magnetic closure is very weak so the palette can easily open in your bag and this can be very messy.

Pros

1. Matte Black & Brown: I feel that a major necessity in every eyeshadow palette is to have a matte brown and black eyeshadow. This can be used for a smokey eye look, liner, under eye area, etc. This is a MUST MUST MUST!

2. Great Highlight: This palette has the perfect highlight color in "bare". It's great for under the brow and to use as an all over lid color as well. It's matte and it's more of a creamy shade rather than ghost white, so it's a very natural and soft highlight.

3. All Over Lid Shadow: I always need to have a beautiful all over lid shadow in a palette because this is the color that will make your eyes "pop". This palette has two great shimmer shadows in "kitten" & "champagne". I love this because it's not a chunky glittery shadow; it's soft and shimmery AND it reflects the light beautifully.

4. Texture: The texture is AMAZING! Let me tell you!!! It's so easy to blend. It's a very velvety texture and it feels so smooth against the lid.

05:11 Real Techniques Stippling Brush This brush is well worth the price. I got mine from CVS and it's the perfect size for a stippling brush. It helps to add a nice thin, even coverage all over your face. This really helps to prevent you from making your face looking too cakey.
05:32 Dr. Teals Epsom Salt My body tends to hurt a lot after work, specifically my legs. I find soaking myself into epsom salt really helpful and it's very calming. Dr. Teals has different scents, which really helps you feel relaxed. Some athletes also soak in epsom salt after a rough day.
06:25 Maybelline Falsies & Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Waterproof These mascaras both work the same, so DO NOT buy both of them. The drugstore mascara works just as well! They have the same formula too. I like mascaras that have a more "wet" formula rather than a drying finish. This helps to add volume and length to your lashes. Always get waterproof too if you really want it to hold the curls in your lashes!.

How To Style High Waisted Bottoms

Trying to put together an outfit with high waisted bottoms can often times be a bit of a challenge. I had created 3 looks with high waisted bottoms. High waisted shorts are such a big trend right now, but I often times shy away from it because I'm not used to wearing crop tops and showing off my waist area. What I've paired every outfit with lately are just really loose fitted button down tops and cardigans. I feel that really helps me feel more comfortable and "Safe" wearing hight waisted shorts.

This outfit is the true definition of comfort. Although we all want to get into the trend of high waisted shorts, many of us gals may feel a bit uncomfortable showing out butt area. It's great to just throw over a button down shirt like a flannel or even a cardigan to cover out back area. Tucking in a cami tank with high waisted shorts also help to shape our body, and it gives us a more slender waist.

This is a more soft outfit. Although these are long pants, they still go great for the summer because of it's loose fitting style. They're also a nylon type of fabric so it's very light-weight and comfortable. I paired this with a crop top along with a flowy vest to balance out the baggy pants.

Whether it's summer or winter, cable knit sweaters are a great piece to own. Cropped sweaters are more ideal to have with high waisted shorts because it shows off your waist more and it looks more slender in that area. I paired them with boots to make it a bit more bohemian.

My Favorite Healthy Snacks!
I'm starting a new monthly video where I will let you know what my favorite healthy snacks are of the month.
Here are the items I mention in the video along with the time stamp if you want to skip to that section:
01:35 GoGo Squeez Apple Sauce Now, this may not be the HEALTHIEST snack, but I do prefer having apple sauce over a chocolate bar. I've just been adding a pack into my lunch and it helps to fulfill my sweet tooth. I LOVE candy, and sipping on this apple sauce is a great substitute for my sugar addiction.
02:35 Kellogs Special K Cracker Chips Kellogs Special K Cracker Chips is such a great substitute for other unhealthy chips such as Lays. Adding this with my sandwich is great because it adds a crunch to my meal. Also, for those of you who has late night cravings, or needs something to munch on while watching TV, this is a great alternative!
03:39 Quaker Popped Chips Quaker popped chips is also a nice snack to have around in the house because it is puffed rice. Puffed rice can be a much healthier choice compared to chips, cookies, and other starch products. I don't enjoy eating this with my sandwich like the Kellogs chips, but I do enjoy eating this as a snack. If you have a sweet tooth, they have other flavors as well such as caramel and chocolate would be a much healthier choice compared to chocolate bars!
04:45 Emerald Cocoa Roasted Almonds Emerald has great individually wrapped 100 calories snack packs. I enjoy this chocolate roasted almonds snack pack because it definitely helps my chocolate cravings. They're also individually wrapped so they're great to keep in your purse as well as to throw in with your lunch. Nuts are great for you; however, you need to be careful to not have TOO MUCH . A handful of these almonds are great for your body and they give you a good source of energy as well.
05:45 Frutare Fruit Bars Frutare Fruit Bars are my absolute FAVORITE! They are a bit smaller in size compared to other ice cream bars, but these are so incredibly tasty! If you love ice cream as much as I do, this is the perfect substitute. Especially during the summer, this is a great item to have in your freezer. Frutare also had a lot of different flavors as well!

Tory Burch Reva Ballet Flats: Breaking Them In

Hello my lovely bunnies.

The other day I finally decided to wear my classic reva ballet flats from Tory Burch (link to flats here). I haven't done much research about the wear of these flats, but I sure you all can agree with me when I say that almost every YT Guru has raved about these flats! These puppies are $195 (cheaper than some of their shoes). Now I wore them at the mall the other day, and I didn't think I'd have to break into them; I just figured by the price and the brand it'd automatically be walking on clouds for my feet. I also have very wide feet so that could be a factor for why these flats were so uncomfortable. It was a bit painful by the heel and also below my toe.

DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?!

Do I just need to keep wearing them to have them stretch out?

Or are my feet too fat for them?!

My Winter "Go To" Nails

I've really been enjoying this Maybelline Color Show nail polish! The color is in "keep up the flame". The best description I can think of is just a nice creamy tomato red. They also have a darker red available in this nail polish line.

I enjoy this nail polish for a lot of reasons! One being that it's so affordable! There's a lot of cheap affordable nail polishes in drugstores, but I feel like a lot of them are going up in price. This nail polish was around 3 bucks. It took me 2 coats to get my nails to look like this. I just look the creamy consistency of this formula and it's super easy to apply!

What's In My Summer Bag!

Rebecca Minkoff Bag Review (purchased in Nordstrom, I believe it was for $195)
I am IN LOVE with my new Rebecca Minkoff mini mac clutch bag. They come in a lot of colors but I like to stick with my trust neutral, so I bought it in brown. It has a nice gold hardware to it (if you don't like gold, not to worry, they come in silver hardware as well!). There's a small pocket in the front (which I don't use much only because it's difficult to remove the clasp from the buckle).
The strap is quite lovely, but there are some downfalls to it. For me, the strap fits me well. However, I can see this being a bit difficult to wear if you are on the taller side in height. The strap isn't adjustable so it could be a short for some of you gals. But the strap is adjustable only to convert it from a cross body bag to a shoulder bag.
Also, the main pocket FITS A LOT of things, more than I expected it to. I've been wearing it everyday and began to notice that the strap is a bit uncomfortable when wearing it as a cross body bag. I think it's because the hardware is just a thick chain so when it rubs against my shoulder it's a bit uncomfortable.
I love the detailing in the front, it makes the bag look very classy, yet casual. This pairs so nicely with any outfit possible! I also love the fringes attached to the zipper, BUT I wish they were a bit shorter. I just feel like they get in the way sometimes and they give me a scare when I accidentally sit on them and pull on my bag.
The bag is quite shallow (not in a bad way) so it makes finding things easy. It holds a lot for it's size and the interior is cute (dark blue with black dots). I do wish that it had mini pockets inside though. It's nice for a bag to have smaller pocket for my to stuff my phone and chapstick in for quick access to it.
Overall, I do love it, I feel like it's worth the investment. BUT REMEMBER, this bag is a hype so don't invest in it because everyone else is saying it's lovely. Definitely go into a Nordstrom and try it out yourself. And don't consider yourself to be an Alien if you realize that this bag doesn't tickle your fancy :]

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain Disappointment

I'm still a little unsure about these new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains. I didn't enjoy charm much but figured that it probably because it's one of the lightest shades in the collection. So I went out to get sweetheart and adore and they have great pigmentation! As far as the texture and formula of it goes, I'm not that hyped up about it. It has a minty smell to it which I'm not a big fan of. Also, they are moisturizing at first and throughout the day they turn out to dry and make my lips feel very uncomfortable. I do have dry lips to begin with, but overall, I wouldn't repurchase these.

Finally Making Progress

So....I'm finally getting that hang of uploading videos in a more consistent matter. I have been pretty M.I.A in the past months...even half a year I would say. But I want to thank everyone that has been watching my videos and reading my blogs ever since I started as well as those who just started following my blog and youtube.
For spring break, I just took a short vacation here at home in Waikiki. I just stayed at a hotel, ate some yummy foods and went on the Atlantis Submarine tour, which was quite exciting. So that was that was mainly why I made the travel bag video.
Updates? I've just been really busy with work and school and as soon as I get home, I've just been wanting to sleep or go out with my friends.
I've been so into teas and coffee this semester. I've been drinking coffee or tea daily and a day at school without it is such a drag! But I've recently tried tazo tea and I don't know how I ever lived without it.

LACKING MOTIVATION!!!

There's so many things I want to do but I feel like time is flying by so quickly! I also have been wanting to do nothing but lay around the house and just relax, which is a plus only because I don't really shop anymore because of that.
I plan to make more YT videos and update my blog more but I have absolutely NO inspiration.
Any suggestions?
I really have zero ideas other than my monthly favorites and I feel like I can't do tutorials because I only use one technique when it comes to doing my eyes.

New Obsession, Gel Nails.

I've been into getting my nails done lately. I used to get acrylic nails ALL the time but my nails would get into such bad shape in the end.
I got my nails done twice with gel instead of acrylic and I AM IN LOVE. They last longer, and they don't even damage your nails. When I took them off, my nails actually looked much more healthy.

The first time I got it, I wanted it to look natural.

(The color was a very soft pink with shimmers)

This is what I have now!! I love it, it's a nice gradient style with gold and pinks.
