Amanda Seyfried: Les Miserable a 'Dream' Role

While Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe are busy over in the UK filming scenes for Les Miserable, Amanda Seyfried is preparing for her scenes back here in the States. She'll begin filming her role as Cosette next month in New Orleans.

Amanda has been waiting for this role for 10 years. She recently told The Telegraph, "I was playing Cosette in recitals when I was 15, because I used to sing classical music. Now I'm actually going to play her. It's a dream for me."

The 26 year old actress is not exactly a rookie when it comes to musical adaptations. Back in 2008, she took on the role of Sophie in MAMMA MIA. And while it's been awhile since she's showed off her singing chops, she's not worried about the role. "Getting back into singing has been tough, but awesome, too, because I haven't lost what I had when I was 15; it's only got better, so that's a plus."

Les Miserable will open in theaters on December 7, 2012.

Amanda Seyfried was on "The Jonathan Ross Show" on March 9th. Youtube has the video so I thought you all might be interested to hear about Amanda's new hobby! Are you ready for it? Taxidermy!!! Amanda explains on the show all about it, saying...

"I have a horse, a miniature horse, it’s a baby. It’s quite small, it’s much bigger than my dog. His name is Antoine. I bought him in Paris. He was sitting with every kind of animal you can possibly imagine, giraffes, zebras, scorpions, and they were all sitting in this incredible installation and that’s when I decided that this was going to be a life long hobby."
