Posts with Japanese characters

    I used to be able to use Japanese Unicode characters in posts, but now I get an error when I try to post them.

    I have to convert the database to unicode at some point. Haven’t done it yet. Not sure what’s involved.

    Very good point, Lingster. While I tend to agree that the proliferation of foreign-nationals into any society does create a burden on that society, and the very arrival of them does, as you say, alter the society in a fashion similar to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, I wonder if any problems are merely temporary. While certainly they may seem to last the lifespan of the current generation, it may seem that the subsequent generations would be improved.

    In any case, we’ll have to agree to disagree, but it’s a cogent analysis of socio-economics nonetheless.
