Since she lives in a city ass-deep in assholes who make a living wandering around taking candid photos of celebrities, it was only a matter of time before Mandy Blank wound up on a celebrity video site. "I look horrible!" she protests, asking the photographer not to shoot her without make-up. Of course she doesn't look horrible, but that's beside the point. And since the clowns sold the video to TMZ, a site that looks for the worst in everything and everybody, the lede reads Glute Model Makes Big, Juicy Ass of Herself (http://www.tmz.com/2008/09/30/glute-model-makes-big-juicy-ass-of-herself/), even though Mandy doesn't. I despise Canada just as thoroughly as any red-blooded American man, but sometimes we need to give our distant Canuck canousins to the north (and their froggie overlords) a hand with deserving projects. A producer with CTV - "Canada's largest television network" - is preparing a documentary on men who like to be smacked around by powerful women. And that sounds deserving to me. The producer asked me if I knew any charismatic, articulate, telegenic fellers who like strong, dominant women and I told her I see one every time I look in the mirror, but there's no way I'm risking my high-powered career as a corporate events Elvis impersonator by appearing on Canadian TV. (Or discussing my sexual preferences in a forum that might wind up on a VH-1 clip show.) I suggested that one or more of my readers might be interested in appearing on such a program, and she was delighted at my offer to post an entry here on Amaz0ns. Not because she isn't sexy - she's astoundingly sexy - but because she disappeared from the public eye ten years ago. Wood was pretty widely photographed at the time if for no other reason than she's amazingly gorgeous. She tended to place very well in national competitions back in the day - as an example fifth overall in the 1997 Ms. Fitness USA competition. She's carrying less muscle now than then, which makes me sad, but she still looks pretty amazing which makes me happy. The Last Colony

I'm reading John Scalzi's The Last Colony (http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&keywords=076535618X&tag=amaz0ns-20&index=books&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325) and I really like it so far. I was a little skeptical going in. Reviews indicated that Jane Sagan, the superwoman from the first two books in the series, begins the book retired to civilian life and without superhuman abilities. She's just normal. I was enjoying the book all the same, but then in the fifth chapter something happens that made me very happy. I won't tell you what it is but since I'm mentioning it here you can probably figure it out. Scalzi's become ridiculously successful and prolific over the last few years. And The Last Colony just came out in paperback, to make way for the next book in the series, so it's very affordable. Update: I finished it and really enjoyed the novel.

Caught this on TV just now - it's from the "Psych" show that runs on the USA Network. A bunch of skinny actresses depict roller derby girls, but then all of a sudden I caught sight of WWE wrestler Mickie James' yummy muscular arms popping out of a tank top. And I felt happy.
