Mom took me to the Vet on Wednesday because she thought I still look sick. I know this is not the best photo of me, but really, who photographs well anyways, except for Lassie.

I thought I could hide under my Mom's legs...

But instead after all kinds of blood work and me gaining a few pounds (53#), I'm fine!

The doctor called yesterday and he said that I'm great but can you bring in a pee sample!

WHAT!!!

I want to thank all of you for your kind and heartfelt messages. I miss my Ariel and everytime I think of her I have an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. The whole dynamic in the house has changed. It is quite now. I think with Ariel's pacing, there was noise all the time. It's a silence that even the dogs are aware of it. Buffy, Mr Chips and Winston follow me around the house and Buffy is sleeping right next to my side of the bed where as before she slept next to Ariel. I know it will get easier but for now, all we do is think of her and I'm questioning if I did the right thing and I know I did, but the thought is still there. It's crazy that she is gone but she did have a good life and I loved the way she use to smile. She was my only pet that had ever shown expressions that I could read.
Buffy is very sad and she is breathing heavy, if this doesn't stop soon, I will bring her to the vet for a check up. I think she is stressed. Although on Sunday, my mother told me Buffy was sick. She said that she thought she looked sick. I don't see that, right now, I just think she is sad.

Today is a very sad day my friends, my sweet Ariel of almost 15 years has made her way to the Rainbow Bridge where she is running free and not suffering anymore.
The past few weeks she has been failing fast and when I brought her to the vet today, she had lost 7 pounds since December and she was very frail. She also had a hard time standing in one spot, her hind legs looked like they were going to collapse and I felt sad for her because she looked so uncomfortable. So as I stayed with her and kept telling her that I loved her and she will be fine, she just fell asleep and honestly she looked like an angel, very peaceful.
I know she is having fun with all the others that have passed before her and in my heart, even though she is not with me anymore, I trust that she is happy again and she won't have to worry about falling or not understanding why she couldn't sleep at night if she was pacing in the dark.
I hope you enjoy these pictures. She was a good girl.

The winner is ROO! I asked my son to pick a number from 1-44 on the way to school and he said "27". When I came home and looked, it was ROO who won the prize pack from the CHIMPANZEE movie.

I did see the movie, this weekend and I LOVED it! The movie made me laugh, cry and think. It is definitely worth seeing and if I ever get another pet, his name is going to be "Oscar". Once you see the movie you will know why. The chimps are amazing and I think I'm going back to see again with my mother. She asked me if I wanted to see it again and of course I would!

CHIMPANZEE OPENS TODAY!!!!

Happy Earth Day Friends!

Today is the last day of posting about the Chimpanzee movie. I will tell you why I did this movie marathon, my mother a few months ago saw the ad in the newspaper and she cut it out and put it on her table and reminds me that it is coming out...She will be so happy that this weekend when I take her to the movies. I haven't told her yet but I'm sure I'm taking her tonight or Saturday night. I can't wait to see Chimpanzee! Now granted, I don't go to too many movies but this movie, I will see. Plus we are helping out a very good cause by helping Chimpanzees, during its opening weekend in support of the Jane Goodall Foundation partnership. For every moviegoer who sees CHIMPANZEE during the film’s opening week (April 20-26, 2012), Disneynature will make a donation to JGI through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund in order to protect chimpanzees and their habitats, now and into the future.

As promised, fact #5: Currently 269 chimpanzees live in 34 United States zoos that are accredited with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). These facilities are dedicated to excellence in animal care, conservation, education and science and meet the highest standards in animal health, husbandry and welfare. Lets see what my little four legged guys are up too and if they have had any luck in finding the chimpanzees...

I am really enjoying them.

This is totally pawesome!!

CHIMPANZEE Fact #3: Female chimpanzees give birth to a single infant (twins are rare) every 5 to 6 years. A newborn chimpanzee weighs 3–4 pounds and is born helpless. Within a few days it is able to travel by clinging to its mother’s stomach and by 5 to 7 months old it is strong enough to ride on her back.

Hello Friends,

I'm out today on this beautiful Spring day looking for those Chimpanzee's that my mother keeps talking about....but first....Fact #2: Chimpanzee populations live in communities of 15 to 120 individuals. Each community consists of males and females of varying ages that share a territory. Male chimpanzees stay in one community their entire lives. However, females will sometimes leave their mothers and join new communities when they reach adulthood.

Now back to me: I know I can find a Chimpanzee somewhere!

Nothing today...maybe tomorrow...

Did you know that Chimpanzees are endangered: Just 100 years ago, roughly 1 million chimpanzees lived in the lush rainforest of equatorial Africa. Today, only 1/10 remain, primarily due to habitat loss and illegal hunting. Current trends indicate that African ape populations will decline by an additional 80% in the next 30 to 40 years. CHIMPANZEE the movie, is coming out Friday, April 20th, Earth Day!

We have a sea anemone in our salt water tank and we were just told that he would be much happier if we feed him by hand...sooooo, my son feeds him every other day, as instructed. All you have to do is place a frozen shrimp in the middle of him...then he will close his tentacles around it!

In the picture below, it is all gone! This took about three minutes at the most. The other fish will sometimes try to take it but we feed them at the same time to keep them all busy!

Crazy, he loves it.

So anyone have any good names for him? I can't come up with one...we call the eel, Neil...sick, but it works!

I'm exhausted...Mom thinks I'm just old and the human kids are telling her to "Do Something"...Mom is sad and say's I'm fine. Tomorrow, I'm going for my beauty appointment (fur and nails) and I'm hoping I will feel better then. I am weak and bumping into things, pacing in circles, but I'm still hungry and still love my ears scratched and that makes my Mom happy!! Her friend thinks I had a stroke, maybe, but I'm old...14 1/2, that makes me about 101 years old in your human years! So of course I act old!

Anyone home! Mom, I'm telling you, your slacking...what's going on...I can tell you what's going...

Our Mom is working too much! This is not her office...she loves this office...it's her imaginary office...ok, she weird, and that's not her door either! Mom has been super busy with her real J>O>B> and her fun job at Mary Kay Cosmetics! This last picture is of my human sister, Mom, and my human niece, Penny's daughter at a Mary Kay event! Mom is in the top five of sales in her area. What ever the heck that means...

As for me, I'm getting old and my Mom says I pace too much...back and forth all day and all night. I hear her say I have demencia and she is very sad about this...pace pace pace...
