Actress Demi Moore has confirmed that she is calling off her six-year marriage with actor Ashton Kutcher following reports he cheated on her.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," people.com quoted Moore as saying.

"This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation," she added.

The divorce comes after reports that Kutcher has a one-night stand with 22-year-old Sara Leal on his sixth wedding anniversary in September.

Kutcher says he will cherish his marriage.

"I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail," Kutcher said.

The former 'Friends' star purchased the three-bedroom, 2,873 square foot apartment in New York's exclusive Gramercy Park area and the building includes perks like housekeeping, room and butler service and a membership to the luxury David Barton gym.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer's new home is the only unit in the building that looks out on Gramercy Park from the master bedroom.

This is not the only New York property Jennifer, 42, owns.

In April, the 'Horrible Bosses' actress purchased the 17th and 18th floors of an apartment building in Manhattan for more than $7 million.

And in August, Jennifer and boyfriend Justin Theroux moved into a two-bedroom home.

The couple are renting the small $3 million property in Hollywood after the Jennifer sold her lavish Beverly Hills mansion for $38 million.

A source said: "One bedroom is the master and the other is currently furnished as a guest room.

"It is a really romantic house with great views and a warm feeling in every room. If they decide they like it, it's also for sale."

Jennifer and Justin's new home boasts hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a pool, hidden garden and a garage which has been converted into a family room.

The source added: "They're really excited about it."

Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail (the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California) after serving just four-and-a half hours of a 30-day sentence.

The 25-year-old actress handed herself over to authorities at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at 8:48pm last night (06.11.11) but due to overcrowding she was released at 1.30am this morning (07.11.11).

The 'Mean Girls' star was sentenced to prison last week after admitting she had violated the terms of her probation in relation to a 2007 DUI (driving under the influence) case.

Lindsay acknowledged in court that she had failed to show up at community service appointments at a women's shelter in Los Angeles.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Saunter told Lindsay - who attended the Los Angeles Superior Court Airport branch in a navy polka dot dress and Giuseppe Zanotti high heels - she will now have to perform all of her community service at a morgue and complete 19 psycho-therapy sessions by March 29, 2012.

If she completes them all, her probation will be over and the rest of the sentence will be stayed indefinitely.

If she fails to do so, she will have to serve the remainder of the 270 days of her sentence.

On Thursday (10.11.11), Lindsay is due to re-shoot her pictures for Playboy magazine.

The troubled star - who was paid around $1 million to pose naked in the pages of Hugh Hefner's men's magazine - has to strip off for the cameras again after bosses decided they weren't satisfied with the first set of shots.

A source previously said: "Lindsay was told the Playboy executives wanted to go in another direction with her shoot so they asked her to come back for a second time.

"The first pictures of Lindsay weren't exactly what they wanted so they have a new theme that they want to shoot."

Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos was crowned Miss World 2011 at an extravagant ceremony here at the Earls Court Sunday evening.

The 21-year-old won the diamond-shaped throne defeating over 100 beauties from various parts of the world at the 61st Miss World contest.

Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais was the first runner-up and Miss Puerto Rico Amanda Perez became the second runner-up.

The gala event kicked off with a dynamic performance by British street dance troup Diversity and ended with Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills crowning Sarcos.

The jury included former Miss World winners -- Cindy Breakspeare (1976), Nigeria Agbani Darego (2001), Zhang Zilin (2007) and Kaiane Aldorino (2009).

Jennifer Lopez is set to star in the film adaptation of computer game turned animated TV series 'Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?'

The 'American Idol' judge will produce and reportedly take on the lead role of ACME detective agency worker Carmen Sandiego who becomes the world's greatest thief and is tracked down by her former partner who must try to discover if she is really a hero or a villain.

Jennifer's Nuyorican Production partners' Benny Medina and Simon Fields and Underground Films' Nick Osbourne, Trevor Engelson and Devin Andre will also produce.

Walden Media have acquired the rights from Hougton Mifflin with CEO Michael Bostick and Senior Vice President Evan Turner overseeing the project.

Jennifer - who took a three year break from films before making 'The Back-Up Plan' last year - has recently been shooting 'Parker' with Jason Statham, in which she also plays a criminal.

Describing Jennifer's role, director Taylor Hackford said: "She plays a real estate agent who finds that a little larceny may in fact be in the cards for her."

The film sees Jason play a thief who lives by his own code of honour - including never taking money from those who need it - but will kill when necessary.

Patti LuPone, Emma Booth, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce and Clifton Collins Jr will also star in the movie.

Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Cindy Crawford have dressed up as 1980s icons Duran Duran for the band's new video.

The group of catwalk stars also includes Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon, wife of Duran Duran frontman Simon, and they are seen wearing the band's trademark suits and playing instruments in the promo for Girl Panic!

The shoot was conducted in conjunction with Harper's Bazaar magazine and directed by Jonas Ackerlund, who worked on Lady Gaga's Paparazzi and Telephone videos.

Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes explains, "Harpers had approached us about collaborating with the magazine on something really special... I'd had had this crazy idea for a video for the song Girl Panic! that looked fantastic on paper but that I thought in reality would be impossible to pull off.

"The idea was to recreate a day-in-the-life of the band, with five of the world's greatest supermodels playing all of us. (They) loved the idea of doing a cover shoot within the video itself - and so it all began."

Singer Simon Le Bon adds, "We have made some pretty ambitious videos over the years, but this one was certainly the most challenging to date.

"Co-ordinating the schedules of five of the world's biggest supermodels, Jonas, and the band was no easy task - but we couldn't be happier with the finished film. It has all of the ingredients that we feel are important - it's humorous, glamorous, sexy and very Duran Duran."

Megan Fox to make Broadway debut

Transformers actress Megan Fox is to make her Broadway debut later this month for this year's 24 Hour Plays.

The star has signed up to take part in the annual project, which sees actors, writers and directors collaborate to create a series of plays in 24 hours.

Jesse Eisenberg, Julia Stiles, Sarah Silverman and Woody Harrelson are also among the 24 actors taking part.

All of the plays will be staged on 14 November at the American Airlines Theatre with proceeds going to charity.

Now in its 10th year, all of the participants will get together on 13 November to begin creating their plays.

Each of the cast members shares a costume, prop, special skill and "stage desire" to inspire a story. Then, each writer is tasked with composing a 10-minute play based on those suggestions by the following morning.

The cast then reconvene at 09:00 and, over the next 12 hours, the plays are rehearsed before being performed for a live audience at 20:00.

Other actors taking part include Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe, American Pie star Jason Biggs, the US Office star John Krasinski and My Big Fat Greek Wedding actress Nia Vardalos.

The writers also include three Pulitzer Prize winners: David Lindsay-Abaire, Doug Wright and Lynn Nottage.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Urban Arts Partnership, an organisation that promotes arts-integrated education programs in underprivileged communities.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie Crook and Lily Cole have been announced as being among the actors taking part in the UK version of The 24 Hour Plays at the Old Vic.

Jane Asher, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Freddie Fox, Robert Glenister, Anthony Head, Ruthie Henshall, Mathew Horne, Gina McKee and Sophia Myles have also signed up to create the six short plays.

The gala performance will take place on 13 November and will be hosted by comedian Rob Brydon.

Money raised will go to the Old Vic's development strand, Old Vic New Voices, to mentor the next generation of creative talent.

Madonna and Jay-Z are to create their own video channels on YouTube.com as part of a new business venture to expand the website.

Bosses at the video-sharing site have shelled out over $100 million (£62.5 million) to dozens of producers to create fresh new content, and as part of the deal, both superstars have signed up to lend their support.

Other participants include actor Ashton Kutcher, Modern Family beauty Sofia Vergara, The Office star Rainn Wilson, Parks and Recreation actress Amy Poehler, former basketball star Shaquille O'Neal and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.

Not much information has been disclosed about the various projects but veteran entertainer Madonna will serve as a partner on the dance channel DanceOn and music mogul Jay-Z will produce content related to his Life Times website.

A number of the channels are set to premiere by the end of the year (11), with the rest debuting in 2012.

They have tried to brave the storm that their marriage is crumbling just nine weeks in.

But now a new report alleges that reality star Kim Kardashian shopped around for a basketball star husband for her TV show, and was turned down by one Italian sports star.

The report from gossip website Radar adds extra weight to rumours the lavish wedding was nothing less than an elaborate set up.Reports on the U.S website suggest Kim was so keen to date an athlete, she got her producers to call round top teams offering a date.

And according to Wetpaint,com E! television producers contacted Danilo Gallinari, a player for the New York Knicks, to see if he was interested in starring on a reality show and dating the 31-year-old reality star.

A source told the website: 'Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show.

'Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down.

In the past Kim has said she met her future husband after attending a basketball game in New Jersey with a friend.

The friend then set up a team dinner, reported Wetpaint, and the rest is history.

The couple seen putting on a firm show of unity as they stepped out in New York to celebrate Kim's 31st birthday.

Then it emerged Kris was no longer being represented by Kim's agents at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. WME insists it had never represented Kris -however MailOnline saw an email exchange between an industry insider and the company which suggests the firm did represent Kris at one point before recently parting ways.

Kim and Kris, who married in a lavish wedding in August have spent considerable time apart since becoming man and wife as globe-trotting Kim keeps up with her hectic schedule.

Despite Kris currently having considerable free time on his hands thanks to the NBA lock-out, he didn't accompany his wife to Dubai, with Kim heading to the United Arab Emirates with her mother Kris instead.

Kate Middleton was hitherto being in the news for her beauty, dressing and for being The Duchess of Cambridge. Now, the world knows an unknown fact about the pretty lady, that she has a 3 inch scar on her temple which was a result of childhood operation.

A spokesman for the Duchess at St James’s Palace confirmed last night that it was the result of surgery as a young child. ‘The scar related to a childhood operation,’ they said.

The palace declined to discuss what kind of operation because it was, they said, a private matter.

Senior royal sources also confirmed that it had been ‘a very serious operation’ but declined to comment further.

John Scurr, consultant surgeon at the Lister Hospital in London, said it was unlikely to have been the result of a tumour. ‘I really doubt it was any serious medical condition and I would say it is as a result of an arteriovenous malformation – a birthmark – being removed, ‘ he said.

Kate is not alone in having a prominent childhood scar on her head. Her husband, William, bears a large zig-zag mark on his forehead as a result of being hit with a golf club when he was 13. He calls it his ‘Harry Potter scar’.

The duchess was conducting her first solo engagement as a member of the Royal Family, standing in for her father-in-law, Prince Charles.

Eva Mendes has visited rape victims in Sierra Leone as part of a new documentary.

The Hitch star jetted out to the African country earlier this month to spend time with women who have suffered sexual abuse and her trip was filmed for the upcoming Half the Sky, which will be narrated by George Clooney.

Mendes posted a picture from the trip on her Whosay.com page and urged fans to help raise awareness of the problems in Sierra Leone.

She writes: "I'm here in beautiful Sierra Leone, Africa. You wouldn't believe the amount of rapes among women here, especially little girls... This is all something we need to be aware of.

"Please help me spread the word. Much love."

She told 'Access Hollywood': "After I sang the song, I'm standing there and I realised that I did bare a little bit of my thoughts in this song. I also acted it out, kind of, for the audience. The way they received it was very touching.

"I think that they felt what I felt, which is, you know, I'm just a girl, just like everybody else, trying to find my way. I felt like they got that, and they understood it, and we were all like one at that moment. It was very, very touching, I think they felt that and I felt it from them. It kind of overwhelmed me."

Jennifer performed while lookalikes of her ex-boyfriends, including P. Diddy and Ben Affleck were on stage, and a source adds she was upset because she is "confused" about her emotions towards husband Marc.

Anthony Ciccone, 55, claims he has been forced to live on the streets and under a bridge in Traverse City, Michigan after their dad Tony Ciccone - who runs Ciccone VineyardÂ with Madonna's stepmother Joan - turned his back on him.

He said: "My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time.Â

"You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times - why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I'm homeless on the street?

"Never say never. This could happen to anybody."

Anthony - who is the second of eight children including the W.E. director, Martin, Paula, Christopher and Melanie, and half siblings Mario and Jennifer - also revealed his health has suffered from having to live on the streets for over a year.

He told The Michigan Messenger: "I don't have any income. I've got to go collect bottles and cans, do odd jobs.

"If you spend enough time on frozen concrete without proper insulation you will get frostbite. You have no idea how gruesome it is.

"You get nerve damage. That's the milder stage, in the severe stage you have tissue damage, that is when you lose parts of your body.

Justin Bieber wants Cheryl Cole duet

Justin Bieber has been chasing a duet with Cheryl Cole for "over a year".

The 'Baby' singer has called Cheryl "beautiful" and flirted with her when he performed on British TV show 'The X Factor' - on which she was a judge - in 2010, and her manager, will.i.am is hoping they will soon appear on record together.

will.i.am said: "I am very tight with Justin's mentor, Usher, and Cheryl has met him as well. We are like one tight little family and there is a lot of potentially exciting stuff in the pipeline.

"Justin is a big fan of Cheryl and has been asking Usher if he can set something up with her for over a year now."

william also described how Cheryl is working with top producers and stars for her third album, which he believes will make her a huge star in the US.

He added to heat magazine: "This album is going to be the best material she has ever released. Some of the biggest names in the industry are working with her. When Cheryl is happiest she is infectious, and this is the happiest she has been in a long time.

"Will she break the US? When people meet Cheryl for the first time they want to meet her again because she is just great company. So the answer to your question is yes, without a doubt."

John Abraham gets his ticket to Hollywood

Actor John Abraham's recent big release Force seemed to have worked wonders for the hunky actor. John have been approached for a film that might have stars like Sylvester Stallone and Gerard Butler.

John confirmed, "Perry saw some shots from my film Force. He called me and appreciated my work and physique. He also expressed interest in casting me for his next. I will be going to Los Angeles in December to meet the producers."

John's new action avatar in Force have impressed the big names in Hollywood. But, John promises to sustain his simplicity and claims that he would make international commitments only if it's worth. "It's flattering when your work is appreciated and I will try to do my best," he ends.
