Not only they are documenting the planet at a resolution of 200 meters per pixel, but they are spotting all kinds of fun stuff. A few weeks ago it was the Sesame Street's cookie monster. Today it's a smiley crater.

This is not an illusion but just a funny Spoof. iPhone 5, Apple increased the iPhone's screen size from 3.5" to 4" diagonally, over its previous iteration. The handset's width has, however, remained the same. According to Apple, it is designed that way to keep the iPhone 5 operable with one hand. Based on this, the guys at Satire have taken a jab at Apple with a spoof video — where Apple executives explain the advantages of an unusually elongated iPhone. The creators of this clip (below) don't miss out on anything — Panorama mode, the improved FaceTime (which becomes BottomTime), and a solution for weak network reception. The Most Incredible Volcano Video ever shot ! Geoff Mackley, Bradley Ambrose, Nathan Berg, after an epic struggle with the weather for 35 days, we became the first people ever to get this close to Marum Volcano's famed lava lake on Ambrym Island, Vanuatu. Coming within 30 metres of the lava lake down a watercourse, it was possible to stand the heat for only 6 seconds. With Fire Brigade breathing apparatus and heat proof proximity suit it was possible to stand on the very edge and view the incredible show for over 40 minutes. For those of you "upset" with the use of a watermark on this video it may pay to consider for a moment that my expeditions are funded by the sale of such footage. This expedition took nearly 2 months and cost many tens of thousands of dollars, not to mention the dangers involved. As has been seen time and time again, there are many media organizations out there who think nothing of downloading peoples footage, re uploading to their own websites with adverts etc while others pay for the legitimate use of it. Its straight out theft. Thanks to the viewers who understand why I have to deface such a good video with a watermark.

The diver who nearly got swallowed by a whale shark″Isla Mujeres, Mexico Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... This diver almost got sucked into the mouth of a massive whale shark while it fed on thousands of plankton. The photograph was taken during a feeding frenzy where more than 600 of the 40ft animals gathered to feed on tuna spawn. The shark, the sea's largest fish, is actually incredibly docile. Whale sharks have mouths up to 1.5 metres wide that contain up to 350 rows of teeth. Despite their size, they do not pose a risk to divers. Each year they converge in water off Mexico where they filter feed by sieving plankton from the water. They swim with their huge mouth open sucking masses of water filled with spawn into its jaws.The relieved diver escaped from the encounter unscathed and continued to enjoy the presence of the extraordinary animals.

The Badlands Guardian (A Face in the Clay)

This wonder of the nature is located near Medicine Hat at Alberta, Canada. The locals refer it as Badlands Guardian, but it's also knows as "Indian Head" because of its native American looks. According to scientists, this structure is a result of soil erosion due to forces of wind and water. The additional earphone-like structure is courtesy of a road and an oil well.

A towering dust devil casts a serpentine shadow over the Martian surface in this image acquired by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The scene is a late-spring afternoon in the Amazonis Planitia region of northern Mars. The view covers an area about four-tenths of a mile (644 meters) across. North is toward the top. The length of the dusty whirlwind's shadow indicates that the dust plume reaches more than half a mile (800 meters) in height. The plume is about 30 yards or meters in diameter. A westerly breeze partway up the height of the dust devil produced a delicate arc in the plume. The image was taken during the time of Martian year when the planet is farthest from the sun. Just as on Earth, winds on Mars are powered by solar heating. Exposure to the sun's rays declines during this season, yet even now, dust devils act relentlessly to clean the surface of freshly deposited dust, a little at a time. This view is one product from an observation made by HiRISE on Feb. 16, 2012, at 35.8 degrees north latitude, 207 degrees east longitude. A German-born gardener by the name of Heinz has grown a tomato that looks like Adolf Hitler. Heinz Zielke, 77, picked the cherry tomato, which appears to have two eyes, a moustache and a quiff, from a vine in his potting shed. ‘I picked a number of tomatoes and put them on the kitchen window sill to ripen,’ said Mr Zielke, a former motor mechanic, who moved to Britain from Germany in 1964.

‘When I moved them to the fridge, I noticed the tomato seemed to have two eyes and a mouth. I thought it looked like an alien with a big head. People have since said it looks like Hitler, but I’m not so sure.’ Mr Zielke, from Cambridge, who has been growing tomatoes for many years, said it had been a particularly bad year for the fruit because of the dry spring. ‘I won’t eat the tomato – I’ll let it rot,’ Mr Zielke added. -metro.co.uk
