The "Labor"

On my 38th weeks of pregnancy I cannot wait to on labor. But I do not think it is going to happen soon, by soon I mean tonight or tomorrow morning. Which led me into finding out what are the things I can do at home to somehow trigger labor. These are the activities that I can do to jump start labor.

Walking
Sex
Squatting
Nipple Stimulation

Although these activities will only work if the cervix is already starting to dilate. It doesn't really help if it is not.

Hmmm...I might be able to do a couple of the activities listed above. Which ones I will not divulge. *wink*

Whew!Talk about one excited aunt to be. I found out that my sister ordered this titanium bracelets,she is going to give it to Liam she told me. How come Liam has one but I don't. She just told me to get use to it already, because from now on most of the the gifts I will receive are not for me but for the baby. I bet this will look good on my baby. Thank you very thoughtful Aunt Rea.

The Creeping Fear

I went to see my Ob-Gyne last Wednesday. She did an Internal Examination (IE) on me to know if I am already starting to dilate, indeed she told me I was. She told me to go back to her this Monday, she will do the same examination and maybe by this time the dilatation will progress. It won't be long and I am pretty much ready to burst. Early or the middle of next week.

Oh yes I am excited but at the same time to be very honest I an afraid. I know it is going to painful, but how painful it is that I do not know. But they say once you will see the baby you will realize he will be worth all the pain and the waiting. Please pray for me and my baby. I hope I will have a safe delivery and that my baby will come out healthy.

It has been awhile since I last check my blogs' pagerank. Why? It just makes me feel down every time I find out they all went down instead of up. To be honest I really don't know what to do to make it go up. Before I was really conscious about pleasing whoever is in-charge of determining every sites' PR but recently I've grown tired of it. I decided to do whatever it is I want to do with my blog as long as I know it does not offend or hurt anyone. Especially in this particular blog, so far this is the most personal amongst all the blog I own.

I found these very nice cufflinks as I was searching for possible wedding present for my brother this coming June. It is a two-toned engraveable cufflink, which I find very elegant yet simple which I think suits my brother's personality.

Glad to have found this as early as now because when I checked the price, it was a bit expensive. I guess I have to start saving if I decide to give this to him. Although it is a bit pricey I do not mind because I think it is worth it. I just wish he would like this.

2012 Australian Open Finals

Australian Open, the first grandslam tennis title is already for the finals both for men and women. First up today is the women's final which will be played by world number 3 and 4. The current world number 3 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus beat Kim Clijsters in the semifinals two sets to 1. While Maria Sharapova (4) had to go through Petra Kvitova (2) to again get the chance to win a grandslam title since 2008 when she won the Aussie Open.

If you think the women's finals is exciting wait till you find out who are going to fight for the finals in the men's division. The two semifinal matches were already considered worth watching. The first set was between arch nemesis Roger Federer (3) and Rafael Nadal (2), Nadal emerged the winner 3 sets to 1. While the second semifinal was the heart pounding game betwovak Djokovic and no. 4 Andy Murray. The match reached 5 sets with Djokovic the defending champion the winner. Now the stage is set for Nadal and Djokovic in the finals Nadal has not defeated Djokovic in any finals game).

Busy At Work

Work is too exhausting these past few days. Too many patients, too many work to do and my tummy is getting heavier everyday. Its much harder for me to work. But I have to, I am not complaining because of the workload, I am because the stress is getting into me. As much as possible I don't that same stress to affect my baby. I love my work it is not something that is hard to do everyday. But the fact that I am pregnant that makes it a little bit alarming. I go home everyday super tired. Another thing is the stress of thinking about how to ran my department, especially when it comes to coping up with running out supplies for office and more importantly radiology supplies as well.

Went to see my OB-Gyne today. I was only suppose to see her for my regular pre-natal check-up. But she told me that any time soon I will give birth. She will start to give me internal examination to check how many centimeter my cervical canal has opened. I have to admit that upon hearing what she had to say a bit nervous but at the same time very,very excited. I didn't know it would be this soon. Hope I will have a safe delivery, and me and my baby will be healthy.

Ever since my father moved back with us everything that needed fixing exist no more. He would usually tell us what to buy in order to fix something and all we have to do is find them for him and viola its all done. I should say having him around is such a blessing. But there are times that we find it hard to find what he wants. Just like the time when he needed thrust bearings. We have no idea where to buy, so much so we do not know what it looks like.I have to find it online in order to know what's it for. Nevertheless, having my father around is such a big help for me and my sister.

Memorable 2011

December 31, 2011, last day of the year, I think it is only fitting to look back and contemplate to see what were the things that are worth reminiscing, changing, keeping and forgetting from the year that passed. Recounting all the details from the start of the year up to the present will be lengthy, might as well focus on the highlights. Goodness I didn't it will this hard, I am trying to remember what important things occurred on January 2011, but somehow I can't think of any. Oh well I think it will be easier if I don't do it chronologically, I will just list down each significant event randomly.

June - went to Cebu to visit relatives, the only major vacation I had this year.
July - found out I was pregnant. The best and the most important event not only for this year but of my entire life.
Novemeber - My father and his family came back to Davao from Cebu after almost 10 years.
November - my brother decided to to settle down, he proposed to his girlfriend of two years. Wedding is set to happen in June next year.

These are only the good things. I have a few bad ones but I opted not to list them here. I prefer to keep them to myself but I am definitely keeping all the lessons I learned from each one of them. In totality the year that was has been good to me. I am hoping the coming year will be much better than the previous one especially that I am going to give birth come February. Something that I am very much looking forward to.

Debt-less New Year

How I wish I could say that I am going to be free of all my debts next year, but that would not be true for me. I have been wanting to heed professional debt advice because I am worried about how fast my credits are rising. All my credit card bills are still far from getting settled and I know I am going to bring all of them to the coming year. So as much as possible I want to make a new year's resolution which is to avoid, as much as possible, adding new debts to my already piled up debt list. I am going to concentrate on paying my old debts, change my spending habits. I will be willing to do everything to change my financial status.

I hope all of those out there who are like me will do the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

FCFI 2011 Christmas Party

My 7th year working for FriendlyCare Clinic Incorporated, my 7th Christmas party with them as well. I can still remember our first party way back in 2004, it was nothing like the one we had last December 17, 2011. I cannot believe how much our family had grown, and how children had been added to it. Next year we will be a much bigger family because there will be additional babies and daddies. As I've mentioned in my previous posts there are seven pregnant staffs, which includes myself, in our clinic this year. Three of them have already delivered which leaves the four of us. Christmas next year will indeed be very, very merry.

Unfortunate Night

A few nights ago me and my sister went to one of the popular mall here in Davao. We were suppose to meet my father and half sister there but before we were able to do so they already left and went home. So we just decided to roam around and had our diner there. We decided to head home at around 8 in the evening. a friend and neighbor of ours to go home a little bit later because we will encounter a very heavy traffic on our way home. Even though we heed her advice we were still stuck in traffic for almost an hour. Later we learned that there has been an accident involving a passenger jeep and a garbage truck and that many passengers were injured. There were even 3 people confirmed dead.

But to our surprise even before we got to the area where the accident was we saw at least two more road disturbances which involved other vehicles which made the traffic situation even worse. Upon passing by the spot where the collision happened I was hit with the reality of how life can just end like that. That anytime one may meet an accident which makes it important for someone to prepare not just for himself but for the people he will leave behind.

The following morning I talked to my friend who is a term life insurance agent and has been talking me into getting one myself. I told her I will be getting one. It was that very unfortunate evening that made me decide to do so.

Yes my little sister is in Baguio with her boyfriend. They will be there for three days to attend the annual Philippine Association of Radiologic Technologists convention. I was suppose to be there as well but opted not to go because I am already on my 7th month of pregnancy and I don't think traveling from Manila to Baguio which is almost a 7 hour bus ride is too stressful for me. I wish my sister is having a grand time just like the one I had last year when I first visited the place. But so far I think she is not. I hope it gets better though, they still have a couple of days more left and its only their second day.

So I am home alone for 3 to 4 days, days I will devote myself in finishing some tasks just like eyelash growth products reviews which I have to finish because its due in two hours. Dang!

SEA Games 2011

The Philippines did not do well in the recently concluded Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) held last November 11 to 22 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. The Philippines finished 6th in the medal standings and were aiming to get at least 3rd with only 36 gold medals, 56 silver and 77 bronze medals.

But despite the not so good performance still all the Filipino athletes who participated deserves to be commended. I would even love to see them receive plaques or certificates for all their efforts. This way they will be inspired and determined to still join and even do better next time.Hopefully the government and other sporting organizations in the country will now come up with better programs, training facilities and financial support our athletes needs. We expect them to bring home gold medals but we fail to give them the proper tools for them to do so. What a shame!

T-Shirt for A Cause

We just received the Balik-Bayan Box my mom sent last August. In it are Nike t-shirts my brother bought for us to sell. Originally his purpose of selling them is to start a buy and sell business. He buys the stuffs, send them to us and we sell them here in the Philippines. But plans changed, I am now going to sell the shirts and the proceeds I will use to buy for my baby's crib. Talk about some pressure huh! If I won't be able to dispose all of them I won't be able to raise enough money for the crib.

He sent 15 shirts that I am suppose to sell for a thousand each. I am suppose to earn 15 grand and the crib is a little over 10 grand. I have sold 10 pieces already, thank God, now I have to exert more effort and hopefully will be able to sell the rest before the month ends. I know I am not the best buy and sell person you will ever meet but everytime I tell my friends about where the money is for they seemed to be convince buy one.

I was watching a lifestyle show which talks about converting open spaces into useful rooms like an extra bedroom, stockrooms or bathroom. The show discussed the whole process of conversion. They hired the services of loft conversions London experts. The experts shared the different steps when one wants to go through the whole process of conversion from the inspection to know if it is feasible to convert the said space into the kind of room you want. Then the whole tedious process of getting a permit which will determine if you will pass the building control regulations. Christmas - Through the Eye of a Child

When I was a little kid I remember how excited I was when the holiday season approaches. Me and my siblings would always look forward to all the festivities, parties, food and best of all the gifts. My parents would always see to it that they would buy christmas gifts for children in our village not just for us. But we would always assume that ours was more special compare to theirs.

But as we become older it seemed like Christmas has lost its essence, it is not as anticipated like the way when we were younger. But now that I am going to be a mom soon, I feel like I am looking forward to Christmas once again.

Christmas should not just be for kids, maybe it will help if we will not forget and put aside the characteristics of being a child which we tend to bury deep within us which we forget eventually. Let us not let that happened.

Pacquiao-Marquez 3

Pacquiao and Marquez will face each other for the third time and hopefully this time all speculations will stop. Each fighter is hoping to prove their respective detractors wrong. The first was a draw while the second one went to Pacquiao. But on both fights Marquez said he should have won it. That is the reason why he wanted this third one to prove to Pacquiao and all those who doubted him it was indeed him who won.

Less than a week to go before the fight all the boxing fans all over the world are excited and are hoping for an exciting match. For us Filipinos we are hoping to see a challenging fight from Marquez but of course we would want that in the it will be Manny's hand which will be raised.

Pissed Off

I am so pissed off. Some people just don't grow up. After all these years they remain irresponsible, worse aside from being irresponsible they are the ones who are arrogant. There is this one person who used to be part of my life. He has been gone for almost ten years and now he'd show up and act as if nothing happened. And wants to be part of our lives once again. Well FYI its not that easy, things aren't the way they were before. We are so used to living without him that having him around makes it very uncomfortable. Things just don't fit, its like putting ATV Tires on a non-ATV vehicle. Can you imagine how silly looking that would be? That I would say would be an ugly sight.
