PLEASE ADOPT A STATE

If we were to compare the online world to an iceberg, bloggers would be the tip, and that’s about it. Unfortunately, the very nature of blogging is narcissistic at best, and completely self-absorbed and almost sociopathic at worst. Because of this, I think the average blogger has managed to forget the fact that there are more non-bloggers online than there are bloggers.

The AM Blogroll has been created for supporters of John McCain who are not bloggers. It is a place to go to find information, leave a comment, and learn where to go if you want to do a little more work for the McCain Campaign.

If you are interested in “adopting” a state, but are new to blogging, not to. We will help you.

The AM Blogroll – Mission Statement & Directions

MISSION STATEMENT
The “AM” Blogroll is designed to be a networking tool for the supporters of John McCain. It will work in concert to and in concert with the Blogs for McCain and McCain Victory ’08. It is not to supplant any other group. We are all working for the same goal. Indeed, the AM Blogroll will have also concentrate on grass-roots logistics, fund-raising, and eventually will become a ‘get out the vote’ tool for local communities.

If you have a blog and wish to join a blogging community for John McCain, go to McCain Victory 08 and go from there. The AM Blogroll is a networking, volunteer, and fundraising tool. It is not a blogging ‘community’. Ultimately, it will be a location to plug into local, county, state, and national events, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities.

HOW IT WORKS
There is one master Blog: America for John McCain. Linking to it will be 50 state blogs. Each state blog will be linked by blogs representing counties within that state. The county blogs will then be linked by blogs for either precincts, towns, cities, or communities within that county.
