Watercolor Workshop - "The intuitive qualities of water" Niagara Falls

2017-09-17T17:10:00.002-04:00

American Contemporary plein air painter
.

"The intuitive qualities of water". This is a series I am doing. The medium of watercolor, because it utilizes the vehicle of water, allows you to free up limitations, inhibitions and become more intuitive, as you allow your most 'authentic creative self' to flow from your heart space through your brush by the amazing qualities of 'water'.

Plain everyday water can be 'a life force' , 'a creative force' and a 'change force' for your inward and outer reality. The fluid characteristics of water, allow for delightfully uncontrolled, genuine responses.

Who can benefit from "The intuitive qualities of watercolor" workshop ?...
non artists
watercolor artists
oil painters and
those who work in other mediums...

I worked in watercolor for 25 years exclusively, to loosen up my painting style, after formal training as a child from the age of ten.
Professionally, I continue to use watercolors for the very personal response it brings into my work. Contact me for more info and future dates at my studio for this workshop series. www.permissiongranted.org #niagarawatercolorpaintingworkshop #niagarafallspaintings #jrbaldiniartist

Maine art workshop July 24 -28, 2017

2017-03-14T14:35:00.001-04:00

American Contemporary plein air painter. I've been holding this workshop for 11 years on Monhegan Island with clinical psychologist Molly DeLaney who provides creative visualization techniques to help participants immerse themself in the higher vibrational energy of this tiny island 10 miles off the coast of Maine. Step off the boat and back in time about 60 years, when life was simple and slower. The island is a half mile wide, by one and a half miles long and boasts the highest headlands on the East Coast at 165 ft above sea level and 12 miles of trails, as 3/4 of Monhegan Island is undeveloped, thanks to an association protecting the lands by Ted Edison in 1954, the youngest child of inventor Thomas Edison. Everywhere you look is a 'painting waiting to be created' . Find out more details about this unique workshop at www.permissiongranted.org or 1.800.393.7270

Adventure of a Marginally Successful Musician - book review

2015-08-12T08:32:00.003-04:00

American Contemporary plein air painter.

I met Bill in 2015 during this tour stop with Neil Diamond in upstate NY. I listened to some of his songs on the internet. The guy is multi talented. Just finished reading his book slice by slice. I've been an artist all my life, and always thought, an artist , is an artist, is an artist. I mean, we all 'kind of ' have the same creative and managerial problems, right ? Musicians are 'out there' all the time and as his books describes, they're team players, something I've never dealt with on a daily basis in my career.
I found inspirational gems in his book like, ' connecting with your subject in songwriting, relating to your subject, then transferring that emotion, having the song speak to someone else. I used some of his quotes in my workshop last week - they related so well to painting. We're all out there trying to find our own creative language to communicate better - Bill Cinque has found his...He comes across as entertainingly funny, and a humble guy, check him out. www.billcinque.com

Art Workshops Maine, Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake

2015-07-16T22:05:00.000-04:00

American Contemporary plein air painter.

Every art workshop has something to offer. If you're beginner, you can find classes in local art and community centers. About 25 years ago, I taught some of these at an art center and the YWCA. When the art budgets in New York State began to be cut back, students continued with me at my private studio. I now do workshops in great locations like Niagara Falls, Florida, and a tiny island in Maine.

Upcoming workshop retreat

Niagara on the Lake, Ontario - oil painting

American Contemporary plein air painter.

This 6"x 6" x 3" oil painting of the Niagara on the Lake Cenotaph a well loved town icon, is available at the gallery this week $175.00 - no frame needed - the depth of this piece is a nice accent statement. It's been named by me a Spundulik (sbun doo leek) The idea for these tiny paintings was to give people a way to collect original art in a fun way.
The Spundulik is an art lovers hors d'oeuvre that likes to hang out in tiny spaces in your home or office. This original painting is sure to bring a smile to your face, each time you say...
