Chose this rating not because of the quality of the doll, but the pricing. This exact
same doll is available from American Girl, online, for the list price of $120. I have
no idea why the list price given here is so high. It would appear to be a misrepresentation.
There is a starter collection available from American Girl for $259, but it includes
a LOT more clothes.

First of all, I’m not sure why someone would choose to purchase an American Girl doll from Amazon as opposed to directly from the American Girl website or even Ebay. Maybe something to do with shipping availability?

The set should include Isabelle doll, pink hair piece, coral top, gray pants, pink undies, gold shoes and book.

The doll is beautiful. She has soft, wonderful blonde hair and green eyes. Her hair is a great length-long enough to do different styles but not too long that it becomes a tangled mess. Because of her hair, she makes a great first doll. She has three clips on her head in which her pink highlights hook on to. It can be a real pain to put the hair piece in and it falls out easily. My daughter doesn’t even use it anymore. Also, contrary to the picture, the pink highlights are difficult to see in her hair.

Isabelle’s outfit is cute, but I don’t care for the style of shoes and they are hard to get on her feet.

Finally, she comes with a book. My daughter loves reading American Girl books, but Isabelle’s story as a ballerina at Anna Hart Dance School did not keep her interest. Neither did the other 2 books in her series (sold separately).

Isabelle is the Girl of the Year for 2014 so she will only be available until Dec. 31 or until supplies last on the American Girl website.

Anyway, I have Isabelle, and she’s pretty nice. I have her accessories, too. She seems pretty well made, like my other
AG dolls. (I have 12 AG dolls!) She has her blonde and pink hairpiece in, and it hasn’t fallen out. I keep the doll on display

mostly, so I don’t handle her too much. I didn’t have any trouble putting the hairpiece in, either. I like her outfit and accessories, and her hair and eyes. She looks pretty nice, she looks
like an Isabelle to me. I have her book, too. Nice job, AG! I also have the 2015 doll of the year, Grace.
