Tonight on American Idol 2009 the end-all, finale results for this season will be revealed, crowning either Adam Lambert or Kris Allen to be the newest Idol.

Before last week I would have said that it Adam’s win was all but set in stone. After Ryan Seacrest revealed last week that Adam and Kris’ vote counts were within 1 million votes of each other I’m thinking this competition is still wide open. The deciding factor is likely to be where Danny Gokey’s voters lean their weight. Will they get behind Adam or fall in line with Kris?

Tonight’s episode will be jam packed with guest stars, including Carrie Underwood, David Cook, the Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, and Cyndi Lauper. Somehow they’ll fit that all into 2-hours!

Tonight on American Idol, the elimination results for this season’s Top 3 will be revealed…

So far the American Idol Top 3 Prediction Poll shows that nearly half of you think Danny Gokey will be eliminated tonight. I’d certainly be surprised, but not disappointed with that outcome.

Kris Allen is safe! Adam Lambert is also safe.

That’s it, your finale face-off will be Kris and Adam now that Danny Gokey has been eliminated!

It’s worth noting that Kris and Adam’s votes were only separated by just 1 million votes. That’s incredibly close and proves that Adam Lambert does not have this competition locked down as many would imply. What do you think of tonight’s results?

Tonight on American Idol 2009 the Top 3 results will be revealed, sending one singer home, and giving us the season’s finale face-off contestants.

Sadly, at this stage I think the only competition remaining is the battle for second place. Whether you like him or not, Adam seems poised to take the big prize this season. Danny has been reliable, but boring and for that reason I’d like to see Kris and Adam take the stage next week. All three of the singers are likely to continue on and do very well in the industry, but I know one singer’s shrilly-filled album won’t be making it into my music collection.

Be sure to vote for who you think will be going home tonight, leaving us with the final Top 2 singers.

This week on American Idol 2009 there are just three remaining singers after last week’s elimination of Allison Iraheta. There is just a little over a week to go in the season with the Top 3 performing Tuesday and the Top 2 performing next Tuesday.

Tuesday’s performances will be double trouble when the judges pick a song for each contestant and the contestants each pick one for themselves.

Wednesday’s results show will feature the return of former Idol winner, Jordin Sparks who will be performing “Battlefield.”. Also singing that night will be Katy Perry with “One of the Boys.”
