However, according to Ellie Krieger who maintains an online magazine called Healthy Living With Elllie, if you use the following ingrediendts you can achieve great taste without wreaking havoc on your arteries. You just need the following ingredients: cooking spray, 20 whole grain crackers, some cereal, sesame seeds, 3/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, four chicken breasts and four chicken thighs. This finger food is an excellent source of Vitamin B6, B12, Iron, Phosphates, Niacin, and much more.

How about some French Fries not fried at the golden arches. It only takes 10 minutes of preparation, followed by an hour of actual cooking. You need to get yourself about four good sized potatoes that you will then slice in halves. You will then slice those halves into four pieces. You then add 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of onion flakes and a half teaspoon of oregano. Then, you mix in three minced garlic cloves and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, a little salt and pepper and about a tablespoon of olive oil. Imagine: a mound of French Fries with 200 calories and less than four grams of fat. On top of that, this wonder drug from nature has been known to reduce the growth of cancer cells in breast, cervical, and prostate cancers.

The healing substance in milk thistle is called silymarin and is taken from the flower's seeds. With this herbal substance, capsules or liquid extracts for medicinal teas can be made.
According to the national cancer institute, there is also a study going underway to examine it for approval for possible use as a bonafide cancer preventer and as a substance to treat HIV complications.

And although people who know me now would never believe I used to doubt myself so much I literally had to learn confidence until it became a natural part of me. I can tell you relaxed optimistic confidence is just, well so much more fun.

Here I'll tell you about the things that made the most difference to my confidence levels...

Some people have naturally high levels of confidence but everybody can learn to be more confident

Firstly, it's important to get a clear idea of what self confidence really means, otherwise you won't know when you've got it! So, self confidence means:

1) Being calm. For every situation in life you need to run on the appropriate level of emotion. Too much emotional 'leakage' into a experience can spoil the experience. You make great strides towards confidence when you begin to relax in a greater range of situations.

2) Being cool. The second part of self confidence is about being able to relax with uncertainty. To be 'cool' in a situation really means relaxing with not knowing how things will pan out. If you truly tolerate uncertainty, you can do pretty much anything.

3) Not being too concerned with what others think of you. You know when you imagine what some place is going to be like before you go there but when you get there it is totally different to your imagination? That's how reliable your imagination is! Stop trusting your imagination so much. I've long since stopped bothering to imagine what others think of me because so often I've turned out to be wrong.

4) Being specific - where do you want confidence? 'Confidence' is meaningless until you tie it to something specific. You are already confident that you can read these words or can switch a light on and off. So you don't need more confidence everywhere. To get what you want in life you have to establish exactly what you do want. Where do you want confidence in your life? Think about the specific situations now and write them down. You beginning to steer your brain towards confidence.

5) Understanding that what you expect is what you get. Your brain is an organ that needs clear goals to work towards. When a task has been set in your brain it will do everything it can do to bring about the completion of that task. If you've tried to recall someone's name but can't, hours later you'll often find their name pops into your head.

The 'trying to recall' experience set the task or blueprint for your brain's future subconscious behaviour which eventually produced the name for you - when you weren't thinking about it consciously. You can use this natural mechanism to start feeling more confident. But, to ensure you set the right task for your subconscious mind, the next point is vital.

6) Don't task your mind with negatives. Instead of: 'I don't want to screw up' (which sets the task of 'screwing up' for your brain), set the blueprint for what you do want! Your brain doesn't work towards what to do by being told what not to do. And nature has given you a wonderful natural tool to set the right task blueprints with.

7) Use nature's goal-setter: Now you understand how vital it is to set the right task for you brain, you need to know how to do this reliably. Good hypnosis will strongly 'program' the right blueprint in your mind through the use of your imagination. If you powerfully imagine feeling confident and relaxed while in a relaxed hypnotic state it will be hard for your unconscious mind to do anything else. The blueprint for relaxation has been set firmly into your subconscious mind.

3 simple strategies to get you feeling confident quickly:

1) Think specifically of the time/place/situation you want to feel confident in. Remember 'confidence' doesn't mean anything until you attach it to something specific.

2) Focus on words in your mind right now that describe how you do want to be in that time and place. Maybe words such as 'calm', 'relaxed' or 'focused'. Remember your brain works on clear positive instructions.

3) Close your eyes for as long as you like and think about how those words feel. Then, imagine the situation itself and rehearse it in your mind feeling confident and relaxed. This way you set the right blueprint or 'task' for your unconscious mind.

You can repeat this often to make it more effective and use it with as many areas of your life as you need to. If you listen to a hypnotic cd or download that can make the benefits even more powerful (see my profile below). So if you feel like you'd be blessed with less confidence than some other people you can start redressing the balance by using your mind in the right way right now.

It took me years to learn how to be more confident - now you can do it in a fraction of the time. Good luck!

Boost your confidence now at HypnosisDownloads.com

Article by Mark Tyrrell of Hypnosis Downloads.com.

In my personal use, one of the most effective natural herbs that I have discovered is the Indian herb Lobelia, which has been used for centuries to cleanse the lungs and is also used to treat convulsions and hyperactivity and is a great muscle relaxant. It makes cigarettes taste horrible and it does create the same calming effect one would have right after smoking a cigarette.

Commonly it is used in tea or can be put in liquid extract form that can be put in your favorite beverage.
In one of the more extreme cases related to this, a factory worker who had fallen into a pool of molten aluminum and entered a New Orleans hospital with severe burns was quickly put under hypnosis by Dr. Dabney Ewin, a professor of surgery and psychiatry at Tulane University. While under hypnosis, the patient's body temperature dramatically increased along with the blood flow which lead to a speedy recovery. Hypnosis has also been known for over a century to be an effective painkiller even for the most evasive surgeries.

The mind's ability to to heal the body is so powerful that hypnosis and meditation are regularly being used by nurses all over the world to help patient's eliminate inoperable cancerous tumors through guided mental imagery. All it takes is some practice with either hypnosis or meditation on a regular basis to unlock your body's amazing healing chemicals.
And as I learned as a former certified fitness trainer, vitamin supplements usually pass right through you. Vitamins such as fiber, B3, A, C, potassium and beta carotene can sustain electrical stability in your heart and nervous system. It also repairs and and aids in growth of additional muscle tissue. Vitamin B12, in particular, is the main vitamin that can helps produce cells and increases your nervous system's function as well as your metabolism of both fats and proteins.

Any type of fresh fruits contain a lot of these nutrients in their skins and seeds. Apples, pears, strawberries and kiwis are especially good for this.

Dried fruits such as apricots are loaded in Vitamin A, fiber, and iron, as well as potassium. Your immune, reproductive and digestive systems will function optimally if you eat these regularly as snacks.

Raisins are the easiest way to make sure you get your fair sure of vitamin B12 and are easy to carry around to snack on throughout the day. If you find raisins to be a bit too boring, you can mix them with low fat yogurts and cereals.

Two of them, Letting Go and Stop obsessive thoughts can all but cure debilitating OCD and crippling anxiety and their other sessions can get people off medication and even cure diseases such as herpes and possibly cancer. The healing powers of the mind are phenomenal, and phenomenally underated. I download them to my MP3, listen to them every night, and it has cleared up my mind like you wouldn’t believe. For anyone who has suffered from medically diagnosed anxiety, you know it makes life a constant living hell.

The voice of the hypnotherapist somehow penetrates your subconscious, massages it with calming messages to relax and allows you to relax on cue. In one download, stop obsessive thoughts, an image of a watch enters your mind and you're programmed to envision a relaxing place and it trains your mind so you can trigger relaxation by putting your thumb and index finger together and automatically imagine the watch, with the wheels being pulled to the side and your mind slowing down along with the cogs of the watch. It’s a wonderful feeling, having your mind clear up so you can focus on what you're doing. It is so much cheaper than an in person session and you get to keep the download and play it over and over. If you have problems with stress, depression or any fear, you owe it to yourself to check it out by clicking on Hypnosisdownlaods.com

I don't believe in the concept of "needing" and there are so many different ways of definining "success". It can become tiresome searching for the right mentor or philospher or feeling you have to let other people know that you've done something or been somewhere in order to feel good about it. It's better to, in my opinion, to think that as long as you feel that what you did was the right thing to do, that's all the approval you need. At an intuitive level free of groupthink, an individual instinctively knows what's right for them, and what's right for the individual is probably right for everyone since everyone is an individual. We've all been told what to think and what's right or wrong from a young age but there's so many different ways to measure that and it could be discussed ad nausem, and sometimes people cling to ideas and concepts about how life should be for the sake of feeling secure or a need to feel approval, which is fine, but it may be best for mankind in the future to let a lot of that go. Now, obviously, to accomplish certain things sometimes there are a set of steps to follow that simply work, that goes without saying. However, it's probablyy best to just be yourself. If others want to define you or not define you based on words and descriptions, they can be your guest at using their minds for that, but you don't have to and I believe that the best things in life need no explanation.

Peace on earth is already here for the majority of the world. Sure, there may always be some crazies out there, and there may always be small wars and trajedies, but such events played over and over on the news make people think it's the real world when the majority of the world is peaceful. It is only a crazy world in people's minds when they perceive television news as the real world. Turn off the news. What's important is within arms reach, and peace on earth must begin with peace of mind and happiness. I do not believe that happiness is something you achieve, it is something we are born with and can lay claim to if we let go of our preconceived notions and live within the moment. Rather than focus on what the media tells you is important, focus on the people you meet in real life, who chances are are peaceful people. The positive energy will spread. Fighting "enemies" throughout history has only produced more. Clear your mind with meditation, preferably twice daily, and learn to just be. The world is a place of great abundance. Don't allow society to steal your natural birthright. No matter what you do, you can control what goes on inside your mind. If you don't try to think to hard, but observe your thoughts, you will see the light. Also, don't be against something you perceive is bad or evil - your subconscious mind doesn't register "against". Focus on what you want. The vibrations will lead you there. Nearly 100% of the time your intuition is correct.

Please don't be fooled by the simplicity of the method. As the author of The Secret once said, "if it were complicated, everyone would be doing it." Our adult minds tend to complicate things because we make believe that the world is not simple when in fact we create our own complicated world and problems in the mind, which can lead to headache.

If you have a headache, all you have to do is lie down, close your eyes, quiet your mind with a relaxation technique such as visualizing yourself lying on a beach during a warm summer day. You feel a cool breeze from the ocean soothing your face, and the warmth of the sun soaks into your hands and arms, getting warmer and warmer until they are too hot to be touched.

If you allow yourself to bask in this warmth for several minutes, focusing only on the sensations, you have just changed your body chemistry with your mind and your headache should be gone.
With no other therapy, the tumor completely disappeared. Another example sites a middle aged man who suffers from back pain so debilitating that he can't walk. When doctor's had him undergo hypnosis to imagine the pain going from his back to his feet, he eventually ended up walking out of the hospital completely pain free.

Once thought of as merely an element of the metaphysical world, advancements in science, along with the results, has brought meditation, hypnosis, and faith healing into hospitals world wide. Many hospitals now have have their nurses regularly guide their patients through mental visualization and other relaxation techniques to help heal them.

Even patients with advanced spinal cord injuries have regained their ability to walk through relaxed, daydream sessions in which they simply used their imagination to picture themselves frolicking through meadows and fields, according to California Psychologist Dr. James Meade.

All it takes is progressive relaxation and meditation - and some spiritual belief. For most people, it will take some regular practice - preferably twice a day. It involves non-effort, a complete surrender of any effort to try to meditate or think about anything in particular. Simply allow each body part to relax or sleep one at a time by visualizing a relaxing image or using a calming word.

Then, let go of all thought and tension by closing your eyes. With enough practice, you should be able to tap into an inner dimension buried within each of us that is capable of releasing amazing healing chemicals.

Once an alpha state of mind is achieved that is free of any conscious restrictions or resistance, the patient can imagine healing energy in the form of a white light entering the afflicted areas of your body, or picture a scenario where something is removing a tumor or something else that doesn't belong.

Taking charge of your health, just like any other aspect of life, requires controlling your thoughts to take charge of your own health care.

A phrase that comes up a lot nowadays is "Perception is Reality." Although this concept is wrong on a factual basis, it is reality in terms of living in today's society in which interacting and relating to others is a necessity for survival and success in today's world.

When it comes to the field of communications, which is basically the most important field in terms of work and life, other people's perceptions can dramatically shape our self concept and self esteem. It can also make or break a career. Whether the perceptions are accurate or not, if your actions portary laziness, rudeness or a lack of professionalism, whether it's deserved, or not, it can make or break a career path.

In growing up, especially as an adolescent, what others say about us, or our perception of what they think based on the reactions of others, tends to act as a mirror for how we see ourselves. As we get older, we find that being true to ourselves is necessary when it comes to being able to actualize our potential and that we cannot control how others perceive us. We can only control our actions. However a lot of us still have a bit of adolescence in us, and how we feel about our attractiveness or self worth is still very much governed by what others say about us.

A lot of young people fall into this trap. It involves aspiring to meet an image that is unattainable for most - the glossy image of beauty and success quantified by a standard imposed by those around us. We feel we must meet a standard of success; that in order to be happy, others must look at our lives and careers and say you're successful. If we can be strong enough to focus on happiness rather than "success," or hold our own definition of what success is and aspire to that, life will be a lot more enjoyable. Most of our lives will be spent in the pursuit of goals, not the attainment. Therefore, it is far more important to enjoy the journey.

The problem, of course, is that an over reliance on other people's perception, and how it pertains to our self esteem, can lead to psychological problems. Too much of a reliance on positive feedback from others puts us in the vulnerable position of creating an environment in which others can make or break us. The maturity and strength of character that comes with an acceptance and an appreciation of ourselves, along with our flaws, will help the individual journey through this complex world we live in which is awash in shades of grey.

One thing that can fog a person's perception is biases created by past experiences. Take, for example, the perception of the world a person might have if they were raised in a loving, supportive family. That particular individual's perception of self and others, and the world we live in, would be one of optimism, which opens the mind, creating a filter that feeds the individual the information that will help a person grow and succeed.

By contrast, someone who grows up in a dysfunctional, abusive environment, could find their views discolored to the point that they choose paths that lead them to dissapointment and further misery. In a way, they actually choose misery over happiness because they unknowingly assume they deserve it or expect it. Most of us know through basic psychology that thoughts lead to actions and negative perceptions of self and the world we live in causes us to prove ourselves right.

Psychologists are paid listeners. Very often, people who have a hell inside their mind keep it to themselves. Friends and family want to be supportive by trying to get you to focus on positive thoughts, but no body wants to listen to your worries and problems and drown with you, and frankly most people are concerned about their own pleasure foremost.

A psychologist acts as a nonjudgmental person in which you can vent even your darkest thoughts, which you may be afraid of sharing with your family and friends for fear of alienating them. For me personally, if I said what was truly on my mind, my friends and family might not be my friends and family any more. Bound by confidentiality, the psychologist acts as a well for you to have a cathartic release and empty your mind of it's garbage. They don't pertain to have solutions, since you probably know what they are.

Psychiatrists are also MD's who can prescribe medication. There main focus is treating the symptoms. They can diagnose your psychological issues, place it in a category and prescribe for you medication, which in some cases can be a life saver, and make you better able to use some of the behavior modification techniques you can get from reading, common sense or counseling. It basically opens a small window where you can see a ray of daylight amidst the cloud of your thoughts to view a glimpse of reality.

If the depression and/or anxiety is serious enough, a two-pronged approach of counseling and psychiatric supervised medication is probably necessary since major depression can kill.

Hay was able to treat his own hypertension, nephritis, dilated heart and kidney disease with his “Hay” diet in 1911 when there were no treatments for these problems. Hay’s effective, but rarely mentioned diet, has now been shown to help treat both allergy and asthma at the same time. On top of all this, a natural side effect is weight loss.
So what is Hay’s magical formula? It’s quite simple, actually. It just involves eating foods that are in their most natural, unprocessed form possible and avoiding eating proteins and starches at the same meal. Hay’s belief was that not properly mixing foods created excess amounts of acids taken from the digestive system which the body could not properly metabolize.
His specific recommendations for food where to eat starches and sugars from fruits at different times and make sure that the bulk of your diet is comprised of salads, vegetables, and fruits eaten at one meal. Proteins, fats, and starches such as potatoes were to be eaten in scarce quantities, all at one time, and at least four hours after your fruit and vegetable meal. The starches need to be exclusively unprocessed wholegrain foods and eaten at least four hours following the other meal and should consist of potatoes and rice.
Hay wasn’t a big fan of proteins since protein rich foods produced the most acid. However, he never endorsed eliminating them as he realized they were essential for muscle tissue and cellular growth. He always recommended that a meal of protein consist of fish, meat, and dairy products.

A Layman's Guide to Managing Fear

When your fears and depression have the best of you, it is easy
to feel that things will not get any better. This is not true.
There is much help available in today's society and the best way
to deal with your fears is to find effective ways to overcome
them. As a result, here are some techniques a person can use to
help manage their fears and anxieties.

You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to
your doorstep. Even if the thing that you feared does happen,
there are circumstances and factors that you can't predict which
can be used to your advantage. These factors can change
everything. Remember: we may be ninety-nine percent correct in
predicting the future, but all it takes is for that one percent
to make a world of difference.

Challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and
realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make you feel
fearful or depressed, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself
questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense. For
example, your afraid that if you do not get that job promotion
then you will be stuck at your job forever. This depresses you,
however your thinking in this situation is unrealistic. The fact
of the matter is that there all are kinds of jobs available and
just because you don't get this job promotion doesn't mean that
you will never get one. In addition, people change jobs all the
time, and you always have that option of going elsewhere if you
are unhappy at your present location.

Some people get depressed and have a difficult time getting out
of bed in the mornings. When this happens, a person should take a
deep breath and try to find something to do to get their mind off
of the problem. A person could take a walk, listen to some music,
read the newspaper or do an activity that will give them a fresh
perspective on things. Doing something will get your mind off of
the problem and give you confidence to do other things.

Be smart in how you deal with your fears and anxieties. Do not
try to tackle everything all at once. When facing a current or
upcoming task that overwhelms you with a lot of anxiety, break
the task into a series of smaller steps. Completing these smaller
tasks one at a time will make the stress more manageable and
increases your chances of success.

Take advantage of the help that is available around you. If
possible, talk to a professional who can help you manage your
fears and anxieties. They will be able to provide you with
additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current
problem. By talking to a professional, a person will be helping
themselves in the long run because they will become better able
to deal with their problems in the future. Managing your fears
and anxieties takes practice. The more you practice, the better
you will become.

The techniques that I have just covered are some basic ways to
manage your fears and depression, however your best bet is to get
some help from a professional and not to lose hope. Eventually,
you will find the answers you are looking for.
Hypnosis is Your Friend.

Reassuring Reasons why Hypnosis is your Friend

Believe the hype or think for yourself

For too long hypnosis has had a bad or 'difficult' press. If a person doesn't understand something they have 3 options open to them.

1) They might be sceptical and therefore save the trouble of looking further and possibly benefiting.
2) They may conclude it is dangerous and to be avoided at all costs.
3) They may spend time discovering the truth behind the hype.

If you don't know much about a topic it's easy to be suspicious. Some people assume hypnosis is akin to a carnival side show, others consider it mystic mumbo jumbo or 'mind control.' For those who look beyond the hype the truth is far more illuminating.

The most powerful tool you possess

There are potentially huge benefits for those who use hypnosis as part of everyday life. When you understand hypnosis you start to see its potential to improve human performance in the physical, emotional and intellectual realms. For me, rumour, gossip and suspicion weren't good enough.

I determined to learn all I could about hypnosis - I learned every fact and practised every technique under the sun. I took several training courses - some good, some terrible. I invested thousands of hours of devoted study to hypnosis and discovered just what is possible. I hypnotised friends, neighbours and work colleagues. Hypnosis greatly changed things for me on a personal level

How hypnosis helped me

I used to be shy. Thanks to hypnosis I can now talk to thousands at a time and can approach anybody calmly and confidently.

I used to have poor concentration and procrastinate; thanks to hypnosis I can instantly motivate myself.

I used to find physical work outs and exercise exhausting but because of hypnosis I am now in the best shape of my life.

Incidentally I also stopped myself blushing with hypnosis. Now if ever I have a difficult call or conversation coming up, something I may naturally feel reluctant to do (you know the kind of thing) I spontaneously self hypnotise and rehearse the upcoming situation feeling good, with myself remaining calm. In this way I habitually set my own emotional 'blue prints' for up coming situations. Having said that it's naturally that some people have concerns or half digested 'hand me down' ideas regarding hypnosis. A common one is the one about 'mind control.' However what does this really mean?

Why you are more in control of yourself in hypnosis

If someone expresses concerns about being 'controlled' in hypnosis what they mean is they don't want to be like a robot, an automaton that is forced to obey the every whim of the hypnotist. We can't help but influence others but we don't control them. To understand why you need to understand hypnosis better.

So what is hypnosis like?

Hypnosis isn't like a coma. It's not unconsciousness - more a subtle shifting of consciousness. In hypnosis, you can still think logically but you also have access to the 'software' of your mind so that you can update instinctive emotional and physical responses. In fact the hypnotised subject (not the hypnotist) calls the shots. When I hypnotise someone I need to go at their speed and respond to their needs and expectations. Hypnosis will give you more control in your own life because of what it enables you to do.

How can I be so sure?

Because over the decades I've seen all kinds of people, all ages and from all backgrounds turn their lives around thanks to hypnosis. When you use hypnosis for yourself it improves confidence in all kinds of ways. When you use it to change other's lives it just blows you away. This is what I mean.

When I first hypnotised someone to feel no sensation in a painful arthritic arm it was an incredible feeling. When I first cured life long phobias quickly and comfortably I was astounded. When I stopped hardened alcoholics from drinking and even got a heroin addict off the stuff and back into mainstream life again I started to feel angry that people could just associate hypnosis with entertainment.

With the aid of hypnosis I (and many people I have trained and worked with) have helped severely depressed people feel strong and positive again. The rewards and satisfactions are hard to describe. I'm going to take a stand against ignorance and short sightedness around hypnosis and here's why.

Why you need to reclaim hypnosis for yourself

Hypnosis is your birthright. It's nature's optimum learning tool. In fact to learn and perform anything well you need to experience a natural focussing of attention, a natural kind of hypnosis. To be successful hypnosis needs to be your companion and friend.

Successful people use it naturally all the time because hypnosis is natural. It's the way we learn new responses. Unlike medications its side effects are purely positive - one expectant mother I worked with to feel relaxed during child birth later reported that she was also more relaxed when flying!

Hypnosis is easy to learn and every body can benefit. Hypnosis is a safe environment to 'try out' new behaviours and emotional patterns before you experience them for real. So the young man can ask a woman out for a date many times in calm relaxed hypnosis so that by the time he does it for real it feels real and natural and relaxed. Sports people who use hypnosis learn new quicker and more accurately. So hypnosis gives you more control of yourself and your life, it's natural and gives you instant benefits and it's a way of 'trying on' and establishing new patterns of emotional response and behaviour, Hypnosis enables you to develop yourself as a human being.

HypnosisDownloads.com offer a free course called 'Learn Hypnosis in 5 Days'.

Article by Mark Tyrrell of Hypnosis Downloads.com.
