Regardless of where you find a job, let people know the good news! The whole point of this site is to help each other, and sharing positive news helps!

I do want to point out one thing, the amount you get paid has nothing to do with the job satisfaction, I love what I do, and it costs me money to go to work, yes, I get paid every now and then, but it all goes back into the business, just like any other small business owner, I am willing to work hard and make sacrifices now, so that one day I will get paid for all of my dedication. Yes, I have a job listed here, and no, it does not pay well, yet! I can assure anyone that may be interested, if you help me, and this business makes a profit, I have no problem sharing it!

AmericansLookingForWork.org is now set-up to take Job Offers as well as Applications! If you have a business and you need some help, list your Job-Offer here, it is simple, you fill out the Contact Form, we approve it, and it goes live for everyone to see, FREE OF CHARGE! No catches, no tricks and no gimmicks, this site is here to help Americans find work!

I have already been asked why don’t I charge people to submit job-offers and job-applications, yes, it will involve work, but, how much work depends on you, both employers and applicants. I have to admit that I have a hidden agenda, I am going to place an ad or two on the site, nothing that pops up or under or anything like that, just simple banners from our network members, in other words, for websites that I have built. Hey, that is how business works, or used to anyway, if you buy from them, they need more help, if they need more help they post a job offer here which completes the cycle. That is how the Free Market works, we buy and sell goods for a profit, then we hire people and grow so that we can sell more products and make more profit, see how simple that is? It is not being greedy, it is business!

One other question I have been hit with is about the name of this site, AmericansLookingForWork.org, why Americans? Simple, this site is dedicated to Americans! If you are an American, you qualify, period! I don’t care if you are a blue or purple American, just a plain old everyday Social Security Card carrying American, if you are authorized to work in the United States of America, that means you!

Let me explain, the American part is easy, you either are an American or you are not, but, the looking for work part may be unclear, no, I don’t mean “unemployed” exclusively, what is meant is simply that you are “looking for work”, yes, unemployed counts, but so does “Self-Employed” if you are looking for more work! In other words, this site is for everybody, but you have to register!

Let me cut to the nuts and bolts, I built this website to help connect people who actually want to work, with those that need people that truly do want to work, simple. No, I am not here to preach about the disease called welfare, it is just that I am looking for work! If you are looking for work or have the need for someone who wants to, join in, discuss the situation, vent about it, whatever, if you need a place to call your own, this is it!

You will notice that this article appears in the Forum as well as the Blog and under its category, you may discuss the articles anywhere you wish, but if you leave a comment in the Blog, it will also appear in the Forum, and, if you reply to an article in the Forum, it will appear in the Blog.

When you register for this site, the profile page of the forum will be used, if you are selected to be a moderator, or an author for the site etc, only then will you have access to the dashboard of the main site.

If anyone wants to volunteer, or has ideas on ways to make this site better, go to the “volunteer” section of the forum and look for the appropriate category. This site is flexible and we can do pretty much anything we wish, if we need hidden groups, new categories, whatever, just let me know.

If you have a job to offer, list it, or, if you have found someone that you wish to offer the job to directly, just PM them and surely you will get a response. (Private Message)

Remember, this is a site to promote work, to make friends, and maybe even find some work! Just be nice to each other, you never know who may have a work offer for you.
