We took the whole family! All 10 of us enjoyed experiencing a farm instead of working one. It was fun. We couldn't believe how quickly you can "turn" around a pumpkin. It takes almost 8 years to grow a Christmas tree to be between 5-8 feet! Geez. Bob should have planted his 10 acres with pumpkins. Why did he chose trees?

This week I will start painting the office. Yeah! Today I am working on creating a Presentation to be made at the summer meeting of all the Christmas Tree Growers in KS. We are a small group, but one that knows how to reap what you sow! Literally. We will discuss the bugs, the problems, the good and the ugly of growing Christmas trees in a state where it either pours or there is drought!

I am a bad tree farmer as I haven't worked on the farm since March/April. I took off the last several months to be a Mom, Wife and teacher. I teach English Comp. 101 & 102 in my spare time at Butler County Community College located in Andover, KS. I love teaching there--actually there is no there, because I teach online.

Enough.
