America's Hot Musician Selected by NATPE - National Association of Television Program Executives as a Finalist for Best Web Series

Washington, DC (AYS) Wednesday, June 27, 2009- The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) announced this week that America's Hot Musician has been selected as a finalist in its 2009 NextTV Competition for Best Web Series. This is an important accomplishment for the American Idol-like program for INSTRUMENTAL musicians produced by American Youth Symphony, whose purpose is to promote instrumental musical stars within the MTV-Hip Hop Generation. The program, which features National Symphony Orchestra violinist Marissa Regni, ex-Kittie bassist Talena Atfield, and Duke Ellington Orchestra alum Gregory Charles Royal as judges, will be screened with other finalists at NATPE's LATV Fest on July 9th at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Washington, DC Thursday, May 28, 2009 - Season Four Canadian Idol Finalist Sarah Loverock will lend her voice to the America's Hot Musician First Season Winner's Recording. The soulful voiced Sarah will be recording a ballad entitled "The Dreamer" which is slated for release in the early fall of 2010!

Washington, DC- Tuesday, October 21, 2008- America's Hot Musician announced today that Liesl Schoenberger is America's Hot Musician 2008. Liesl, 24, is a violinist from Cape Girardeau, Missouri and graduated from the University of Indiana School of Music this past May. The show also awarded individual instrumental winners: Bobby McManus, 21 - guitar, Detroit, MI; jMAN jR, 24- keyboards, Los Angeles, CA; and Joe Lindner, 30- one man band, Watertown, SD. The announcement had been delayed in recent weeks in part to ongoing negotiations between the show and a Canadian production company to produce season two, and by recent events surrounding judge Gregory Charles Royal and vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin uncovered at a recent news conference at the National Press Club which was covered by ABC, NBC, CNN and the New York Times. America's Hot Musician aired its finals in July on Lifetime Real Women and featured as judges Duke Ellington Orchestra alum Gregory Charles Royal, National Symphony Orchestra Violinist Marissa Regni, and Ex-Kittie bassist Talena Atfield. The first season can be viewed as a podcast at www.americashotmusician.org and a nationwide campaign is underway to re-air the entire first season on public channels throughout the United States beginning early 2009.
