My two-year-old son Dominick was under anesthetic and there was nothing I could do but wait.

Two hours earlier, the anesthesiologist had told us that they could not be liable if Dominick experienced brain damage from being put under. It was an agonizing decision to make with my husband Nick because we were responsible for Dominick, his life was in our hands and I felt the weight of needing to make a decision.

The irony is that if a client had come to me with a decision like this, I would have been centered, grounded, and full of faith for them. I was aware that because of my perception of past experiences I had the belief that the universe would not take care of me, or my loved ones.

After an hour of asking the anesthesiologist and pediatric dentist many questions we decided to go ahead with the procedure. My heart felt like a ton of bricks. Dominick sat on Nick’s lap facing him as the first injection was given to our son. He began to scream and I felt every cell in my being breaking. As Dominick’s head and eyes rolled back, I felt like our son had died in our arms. The anesthesiologist scooped him up and took him away.

I fell to my knees hysterical, if my husband had not been there, I would have been lying on the ground because I felt absolutely helpless. We had made the decision and there was nothing we could do to change it.

I didn’t have faith for myself so I reached out to three friends who I knew had faith and I asked them to pray for Dominick.

When Dominick came around from the procedure, I was grateful and still scared. Dominick bounced back quickly and the next day he was back to himself, strong and happy.

My lesson was to surrender, surrender, surrender. This created the space for a little more grace to come into my life.

We will always have to make decisions, some big and others small. Taking full responsibility for your feelings and your thoughts will help you make the right decision.

I think when you are faced with a big life-changing decision, choices that used to be challenging can be made more easily.

In this last week my clients have been faced with making decisions including:

Is it the right time to start my business?

Do I invest more money into this marketing campaign?

Should I fire an employee?

Do I leave the marriage or should I stay?

Is it okay for me to take out a loan to grow my business?

Can I trust this person enough to let them into my heart?

Sometimes your decisions will be hard, other times easy. It is always easier to see what is best for someone else if you are not emotionally attached and you have confidence in them.

Therefore a good place to begin making decisions with ease and grace is to let go of what you are feeling and create space for the wisdom of your soul to guide you. Cultivate confidence in your ability to make empowered choices on a daily basis, and with these actions your soul will grow.

My story was I ended up loosing everything I owned. I kept meditating, praying and visualizing and couldn’t understand why I was sleeping on my friend’s garage floor.

I didn’t understand why meditation + prayer = spiritual connection wasn’t getting me the results I wanted.

I thought I must have done something terribly wrong that I wasn’t aware of. I prayed to see the truth. I asked spirit on a daily basis why I was struggling but I remained stuck.

One day I sat down with my journal and the words that fell onto the page were “God, spirit, universe, why won’t you help me? Why are you punishing me like this?”

And then it struck me like a lightening bolt. I was angry at God, my spirit guides and how my life had turned out. I blamed spirit and wasn’t taking responsibility for any of my thoughts, feelings or actions.

It was an uncomfortable shameful feeling but the good news is that as I faced that irresponsible part of myself, my life began to improve fast.

Many steps I took, led to turning my life around and I’m sharing what springs from my heart, so that you can have a brighter and happier day.

#1 Look at your life differently. When you wake up in the morning, what are your first thoughts? Whatever you are thinking sets the tone for your day and how it will unfold. Start taking action from a place of consciousness. For example: When I awoke, I felt optimistic and wondered how I was going to achieve what I wanted. I had an internal conversation with that part of me. I told it that I was going to follow my dreams and wanted my spirit to guide me. All I have to do is take the action.

#2 Think of something you want and say, “Yes,” to it. Is it a deeply fulfilling relationship, financial security, a career change, perfect health or a peaceful mind? I started reading Loral Langemeier’s “Yes! Energy”. Instead of working yesterday, I took the entire day with my family. I was telling my husband about wanting to say, “Yes,” to my dreams at every level.

“Let’s look at houses,” my husband Nick said.

“Ok,” I said hesitant.

We pulled on to one of our favorite streets and there was an open house. Nick parked the car and said, “You go in first”.

“I don’t want to,” I said. That was a lie. I didn’t want to go in the house because we didn’t have the money in our bank account to buy it today.

“Go on,” he said.

I reluctantly got out the car and walked down the beautiful driveway. The house was everything I wanted. I loved this house. I sat down in a gorgeous leather chair in the screening room and allowed myself to feel at home.

“What did you think?” the realtor said.

“I love it,” I said.

“Ok, great, let me get your info,” he said.

I was about to tell him, “No,” and why and then I decided to play with the “Yes! Energy” Loral had inspired in me.

Our son Dominick was napping in the car, so Nick went into the house separately. When he came back out he said, “I sat down in this great leather chair in the screening room, it felt awesome”.

“Me to! It was the only place I sat down in the whole house, I guest that’s why we’re married,” I said smiling.

#3 Take counter-intuitive actions. For example: If you usually leap out of the bed in the morning and go straight to email, lie in bed a little longer and read an inspirational book and journal any “aha”. Mix up your daily routine. Do you always go to the same lunch spot or supermarket? Try somewhere new, so you can shift the way you see things. If you decline a potential business proposition or relationship, why are you saying, “No?”

I got a TV hosting request in from my manager at TVGuestpert. I thought it a good idea to do some research on the TV production company, who were interested in me. As I typed in the name of the company into my iphone and read, I gasped.

“What is it?” my husband Nick said.

I didn’t want to tell him, it was embarrassing, a skeleton in my closet.

“You don’t want to know,” I said.

“Tell me,” he said.

I took a deep breath to find some much needed courage.

“I hooked up with one of the owners of the TV company.”

“Did you sleep with him?” he said.

“Yes, he’s also a famous TV host in the UK,” I said, cringing. I felt so embarrassed.

That summer was a crazy summer. I had written a book called Confessions of a Psychic which I later on threw away because it was written during the peak of my love addiction. I was giving great relationship advice on Live TV but when the focus went back on myself, I couldn’t let myself feel my feeling. I attracted many clients to me who also suffered around love relationships and dating. As I’d tune in for a client, they’d often reflect back what was happening in my own life and spirit would channel the answer through me.

It felt awkward because I wondered if I was really giving true guidance however, at the end of the session, the client would say, “Wow you totally nailed what I’m going through and I feel like I can handle this moving forwards”.

I’m only sharing about my love addiction now because when I was in it, I was ranting and complaining about men betraying me, leading me on, using me. I was a total victim.

As I did the spiritual work, I kept healing. Some days it felt incredibly painful to be with my feelings but I have learned to be with the discomfort because I know the other side of this pain is an ocean of peace where I am deeply connected to spirit. It makes me a better intuitive, psychic and coach. I am able to see with deeper clarity. I see into the depths of a person’s soul. The beautiful lesson I recently learned is just because I can see someone’s garbage and smell it, yes energy has a scent to it as well! It is not my responsibility to clear their blockages unless they want to be helped.

I know many of you reading this are extremely empathetic, meaning you absorb people’s energy, what they are thinking and feeling, you take on, into your own energy field. When you begin to heal your past, things can feel worse before it feels better but know that if you have the courage to clean out the closets of your mind, heart and home, your life will improve in leaps and bounds and miracles will occur!

Firstly, I needed to know that this healer had a higher vibration than me and was totally aligned with spirit. Yes and yes, he was!

Secondly, I wanted to know that he could hold the space for me to let go of what was holding me back from living my life purpose 100%.

Thirdly, I needed to feel safe enough to surrender to the next stage of my spiritual awakening.

I’ll admit I was nervous about going and seeing this healer because my past pattern many years ago when I got on my spiritual path was from a space of desperation. I was a total love addict and my intention of seeing a psychic or healer was to stop the obsession in my mind over whomever I was romantically involved with.

Seventeen years later, my intention had shifted. Spirit said I needed to get 100% aligned and that was my goal at this healing session. My husband Nick drove me up to the house in a gated community in Beverly Hills. This was where I would meet Howard. I didn’t know what to expect. I felt nervous, as I didn’t like feeling vulnerable. I did my best to stay open minded. My old belief system, “You can’t be spiritual and make money,” was ravaging my mind. When Howard came out to meet us, I felt incredibly uncomfortable because I could feel him see straight through me. I was the one so used to being able to see people beyond what they could see for themselves. Howard was dressed in a long white robe. Again, my mind wanted to go into judgment about how a healer should be dressed, “Was he a charlatan dressed as a guru?”

Nick took Dominick outside to play basketball in the private cul de sac while I sat with Howard. I could feel my ego mind squirming. I didn’t want to share my weaknesses but I did because I knew that this lower vibration needed to be transformed into a lighter more joyful frequency.

Even if you are no longer talking with someone, even if they are dead, their energy can impact you today. I have seen this many times when I’ve worked with clients in a psychic capacity. You may not have spoken with an ex-spouse for ten years but your feelings towards them and their feelings towards you will impact your ability to have a happy loving relationship today.

I went to see Howard to heal my family lineage. My parents choose not to speak to me. They have told me I am evil and that they can never forgive me. I used to think, I won’t be seen as a great intuition coach because I don’t have a wonderful relationship with my parents. What I have learned is the healing has to happen from within yourself. My parents are in my dreams almost every night in the last couple of months. It has been a great loss to me. The better my life got, the more my parents rejected me. I have been using this experience as an opportunity to become a better mother, wife and friend. I pray for my parents every day. Not to make them feel differently about me, of course I would love them to love me, but so they can heal because I feel their pain.

In the past, when I’ve shared about my healing journey, some people have emailed me offering me their coaching services or trying to point out there is something wrong with me. I share about my life to show that I am human and have challenges to. I embrace my spiritual growth because as I learn, I can pass on this gift to others who seek to know how to turn pain into peace.

The key is to feel your feelings. Don’t ignore or deny your feelings otherwise they will control your actions and you will feel imprisoned, powerless to change your situation.

Today here is my prayer for you:

May your heart be filled with the grace of God,

May your soul live its purpose with courage,

May your spirit soar with angel wings of light,

May your days be filled with laughter,

For laughter lifts the mind, body and spirit to a place of joy.

What thoughts come to your mind?

My mind jumped to judgment, shock and disgust. Having visited the Auschwitz museum in Israel and having been raised in a Jewish home, I felt the location of these photos was poor taste. However, as I continued to read the article, I saw that photographer, Marc Adelman had a different intention from what I had perceived; to think about our identity, politics and sex.

I’ve often heard people say, “Don’t talk about religion, politics or sex,” when you are at a social gathering and among motivational gurus, some have suggested this a major taboo at networking events. People are quick to look at the surface picture and leave it at that. A judgment is quickly formed and solidified.

How do you decide whether something is good or bad, right or wrong? At what point do you say, I like this person, I want to date them and change your mind to them not being The One?

Do you do business with people based on what other people have told you about them or because your intuition tells you it’s a good idea?

You are having a continuous stream of thoughts and these thoughts affect your ability to be able to feel and hear your intuition. You will not be able to receive intuitive guidance if you jump into the stream of thought and let it carry you. The key is to step into the stream of intuition and let it wash over you. You may find this confusing because both ideas put you in the stream of thought however there is a difference between the two. When you sense the variations of how you identify your thoughts and your attachment to them, you will start to have a whole new level of awareness.

Before I got pregnant, I rarely noticed pregnant women but once I got pregnant, I spotted pregnant women everywhere I went, and all things related to having a baby. You can take this same principle and apply it to your thoughts being focused on not being able to make money. If you believe you can’t make money, your environment will reflect that back to you and opportunities to generate income will not be in your vision, even if you affirm that you want to be financially abundant. I’ve seen some of my clients initially reject income-generating opportunities because of being carried downstream in a negative flow of thoughts, they couldn’t see the opportunity when it was presented. I had to point it out to them and then suggest a counter-intuitive action.

Even when you find the solution and you know the intuition is right, you often still ignore it. How many times have you said to yourself, “I should have trusted my intuition”. The reason you don’t is because you have practiced using the thoughts in your mind as a tool to make your daily decisions.

Daily Intuition Building Action:

1. Watch your thoughts at intervals throughout your day.
2. Write down a thought if you notice it recurring throughout your day. This will create enough distance for you to get out of the thought and form a new more aligned thought. For example: “I wish I hadn’t eaten that hamburger last night,” was a way for me to hate myself by criticizing myself. A fun thing became a guilty pleasure.
3. Notice when you are forming an opinion about something. Is it a thought of acceptance or judgment? Are these your true thoughts or were they learned from someone else?

As you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, your intuition will increase. You will be able to see your life from a higher plane of consciousness. You will have a deeper understanding of why people do what they do. You may understand someone else better than they understand themselves because you see clearly. You now know not to take on that person’s pain and resentments. This allows you to be the light that you are and keep shining!
