I am a regular user of Topaz filters . I am also on their mailing list where this post has its root . With a chill in the air or at least in my neck of woods , the idea of free webinars about adding the finishing touches or more to my images sounds like a deal while keeping warm by the glow of my monitor.

Not only inspiration with Behind the Shutter Magazine but You can also add to your photography skills as well. The best thing it is free , as We all know free is good. Of course , You can not escape the ads like any other edition.The other treat are the videos which are part of the articles. [ very cool ].So save a tree. My nugget from the June issue was the use of ND filters for portrait photography so Bokeh could be realized adding depth to the portrait.

The real fun of photography and the process that follows these days is where the phrase truth in advertising is put to the test . The finished scene here started with a Cloud scene of mine . that is where CS or Photoshop can take over to bring the Clouds and water plus the Blue Moon together where I could position the elements the way I liked.

For a change of pace here is a recent find, a site that reviews everything except the kitchen sink . These days with all the toys coming and going, techradar is a great site to stop by and even sign up for the latest tech news. I was catching up the latest Nikon Df and the one part of the review I liked the most was the hands on experience by a Pro . Set aside some time as You find yourself checking out the latest gear for quite a while.

MacOSaiX is a free Mac application that makes creation of high resolution mosaic absolutely easy. Here is a link to the download page http://download.cnet.com/MacOSaiX/3000-18488_4-27011.html

There You will find more info and a video of software in action. The phrase more is better fits here as well as You need hundreds if not thousand especially for larger size prints. My sample , was from a wedding where the total was 980 with that number , I would not go past 24×30 as a final print size.

Mosaic Art Photograph

There is a bit of fun to watch the action as the dark and light images are selected to make up the image to show through the combination of photos . I have found using a Black and White for the source file seems to work best . Prep also entails that all the files are positioned the same way.I could see this concept working not only with weddings but on the commercial side
