When I had my baby, I was terrified. I had no idea what I was going to do when I got home with him and I had never even held a baby before! My husband kept telling me we were going to be fine but I was really scared I just wasn’t going to know what to do so I asked my mom to come up for the first couple of weeks. I didn’t have any idea how to fill up the bottles or even what type of diapers to put him in! Mom whipped us into shape really quickly, though, and taught me all about how to hold him and by helping us child proof the whole place. She made me to go look at adt security kansas city since I stay at home all day by myself and I generally just feel better about everything since she came to visit! She left after about 11 days and I really knew I could do it by the end. I don’t know what I was so scared about in the first place!

I’ve decided to take control of my financial future and I’m doing so by really sticking to a monthly budget I made up. I know that sounds easy enough but there’s something to be said for taking out cash at the beginning of the month and only using that until it’s time to take out more again. It makes you think about every twenty dollar bill you hand out, that’s for sure. Anyway, I realized some things like that I have the Power to Choose Seabrook energy providers with good rates and even some negotiating ability when it comes to services like carpet cleaning and dry cleaning. I have been shaving off a dollar here and there where I can and I think it’s adding up – I feel more financially secure now than I have in years. I love being on top of my money and I know that at the end of the day it’s my responsibility and no one else’s. That’s what it means to be an adult!

I hate this time of year. It’s so hot you can’t do anything outside and I love running so much – I’m starting to get used to doing it on the treadmill but I would much prefer getting outside and doing it on the street. It’s like, a quick run around the neighborhood really helps me clear my head. I’ve been watching a lot of old movies on my www.direct.tvTV which is nice but I’m pretty sick of having to stay cooped up in the air conditioned house all this time. I know some people love getting to stay indoors but I’m not even getting to work on my tan! I’m lucky that my apartment building has a pool and it’s nice to go out there and cool off sometimes but I really just wish I was able to run. Do any of you guys have a sport you have to give up in the summer like I do with my running? I know it sounds dramatic but it feels like a piece of me is missing when I can’t do it!

Getting the most out of my carry on luggage

I'm a big believer in taking my luggage carry on when I can. I live a few states away from my parents now and that means I fly a little more often than most people do to visit their families. But these are often weekend trips, so I try my hardest to pack light so I won't have to pay to check a bag.

I'm always careful about checking the bags that I do carry and make sure that they fit the size restrictions once I have all my stuff packed in there. Right before my last trip about a week ago I was online looking up that stuff when I came across the website http://www.SatelliteInternetBroadband.com and after I browsed through it a little bit, I switched over my home internet service to the provider.

Normally, one of my carry on bags is a piece of rolling luggage, where I put most of my clothes and stuff like that. But I also take another bag to stow under the seat in front of me. I've found that canvas tote bags are good for that because you can stuff a lot into them easily.

Pet Star: Fun Show to Watch

Pet Star is a great show to watch, in order to see the many talents of today's animals. This show always inspires me to make my own puppy become a talented animal of some sort. The tricks the animals on this show can do are amazing and will make any pet owner feel grossly inadequate. I love this show and always watch it on my Satellite TV from www.DirectStarTV.com.

This show takes place on Animal Planet. It is a great show to actually watch with one's pet. However, I have noticed that my pet actually gets a bit sad that she can not do the same sorts of tricks that other puppies can do on this show. The pets on this show do everything from singing to jumping the biggest leaps anyone has ever seen. This is a crazy show to watch for those with an interest in how animals develop their talents.

Overall, I love this show for how it challenges me as a pet owner. I have actually taught my pet a few tricks after watching this show and she has learned them readily. This is a fun show to watch for the pet owner who needs a bit of motivation to bond with his or her pet and teach them new tricks. After watching this show, one will never be able to stop teaching his or her pet tricks!

I am sure that everyone is busy preparing for the upcoming holiday season. Where exactly did the year go? We just celebrated Lucas's 5th birthday and I'm amazed at the little man he is growing into. All my kids amaze me! They are so awesome!

Hubby entered Andrea in the Parents Photo Contest and he's just tickled pink that it was selected to participate. After last weeks seizure(her 2nd in a few months) followed by the weekends food poisoning, this would definitely be a bright spot. Not to mention I can post Andrea's pic all over the web for voting so everyone can see how precious she is. She was a mess the day this pic was taken and we'd been outside playing for awhile but she still took the time to play with her "puppy"(Cassidy who is about 10 years old now). Anyway, if you could fancy a vote, that would be great!

Heinz Ketchup Deal!

As most of you are probably already aware, Heinz Ketchup is changing their recipe to contain less salt. If you hadn't heard yet, you can find one of the many MANY stories on it here. It's all a ploy for more government control over our lives but we won't get into that.

The whole point of this post is to make you aware so that you can keep an eye out for the really great deals out there as they are going to have to remove the old to make room for the new.

Case in point: On Thursday, hubby and I went to do some grocery shopping at Walmart. As I'm walking down the aisle I notice that the BIG 40oz squeeze bottles of Heinz Ketchup are on sale for $1 each. This, in my family, is more than a big deal. It's HUGE! We are always running out of Ketchup and I can't even stand the stuff. The boys and Andrea, however, will put it on anything and everything. Andrea, at 21 months, is a big fan of dipping this into that, including fingers when her edibles have vanished. We picked up 4 bottles of Heinz Ketchup then and will be going to pick up more this next week. What was on the shelf has a sell by date of July 2011 so that is more than enough time for my family to go thru about a dozen bottles and to get it for 75% off is the icing on the cake(or the ketchup on your french fry if you want to look at it that way).

So, with this news in hand, if there are any coupons out there, now would be the ideal time to pull them out! Even without them though, this is not a deal to pass up! Be on the look out and don't forget that there are always shelters, food banks, schools and daycares out there that certainly wouldn't pass up a donation.

That is all I really have going on to post about at this very moment but that might change any second now so I will go ahead and cut it off here. Y'all have a happy Sunday and remember:

Honey-Do or Honey-Don't?

Well, TwitterMoms just posted a topic that I can't help but blog about: The Honey-Do list. You can find out all the information about how you can post and receive $100 in ServiceLive Bucks at TwitterMoms with a chance to win $250! My entire Honey-Do list is a big giant FAIL! Not only does it never get done, but it keeps growing!

The top 5 things that need to be done the soonest but will never get done:

1) FIX THE OUTSIDE PIPE! This past winter we had a pipe explode outside. Called out the plumber and he came and capped it off, taking the easy way out. Problem! That pipe where he cut it off not only fed that one faucet, but also the front faucet AND MY WASHER!! He refused to come out and fix the issue so it's been on my honey-do list for 4 months now. We've been running the laundry to the laundromat to wash and back home to dry! With all these kids, this is no easy feat and let me just say that we have a growing mound of clothes because it is such a pain to get away to do even one load much less the 2-3 we have daily.

2) Dig up my garden. Well, here it is MAY and nothing has been dug up except the hole in my front yard when the kids got a hold of the shovel. JOY!

3) FLEA BOMB! With Spring around here comes fleas. And we have seen more than our share of them and they really seem to like the 3 year old. She brought me like 6 of them yesterday...ON HER LEG! I sprinkled the Seven granules around the yard. Now we need to bomb the inside. I can't remember and his job is to remind me when we go somewhere to do those things that we are supposed to do. We've had the bombs for 2 weeks and there they sit on the kitchen counter.

4) Find the license plate bracket for my truck. So, evidently cops have issues with a license plate being stuck in the front window. It matches the one on the back bumper so I don't see what the problem is. Hubby got a warning a few months back about it and he made one futile attempt at finding one once but every time we get around to going up near where the junkyards are, HE FORGETS HIS TOOLS!

5) Project work! So, it’s been 3 weeks since I gave him a project that pays REALLY well. Ummm, it still isn't done. Sure it's busy work and a bit time consuming, but really, if he wants to be able to do this and that, I NEED SOME HELP!

Well, that turned into more a rant than a blog post but those are the top 5 things on my Honey-Do list. If just those 5 things up there would get done, I would be one very VERY HAPPY CAMPER!
