It is like someone eith High Blood Pressure needing their medications. They arw NOT ADDICTED, but their BODY IS DEPENDENT on it..same thing!
Furthermore, I would give anything to throw away medications and not need them!

There are ways we can reduce or eliminate the body's need for certain medications. BUT. Some are needed. UNTIL your body is in homeostasis, and things are not balanced due to diet, sedentary lifestyle, lack of sun, lack of some vitamins, and so on...

Here is what happened to me...

PAIN PUMP PAIN DOCTOR AND GASLIGHTING...

I had my pain doctor NOT get my meds called in, time and time again. I had a pharmacy that "shorted" me. The tech was terminated for that one. She was taking a few pain pills from mine, and I bet others. They tried to say I was to blame. Then they caught her after I was shorted 4 months now! There are MANY LEGITIMATE reasons pain patients can be shorted their meds. I appreciate you speaking out.🥰🥰 I had a pain doctor who was GASLIGHTING patients! He would not get our meds sent in as they should. I would have to call their office 5 or 6 times, and they always had an excuse. After research and a stunt he pulled on me on a pain pump surgery that I decided to NOT allow him to touch me".(after my first visit with him, he insisted my pain pump needed to be REPLACED.. he has tried to fill it then reset so it appeared like it was time for replacement but I had another YEAR before it shouod have been reolaced and it was working fine until he messed with it))... (I had a pain pump for 12 years, and I CHOSE to have it taken out after the gaslighting stunt)) I found out he had been in trouble and lost his license in CA for GASLIGHTING!! He comes to TX and does the same thing! After the pain pump stunt, he SUDDENLY EFT THIS AREA!! After I SAID I WOULD NO LONGER HAVE HIM AS A PAIN DOCTOR) He sent me a letter stating I did not follow orders! GUESS WHAT!? He is still practising in TX, less than 75 miles away, under the same darned clinic name! THE ONLY reason I had to go to him is that I had been seeing my Pain Specialist for 20 years, who has retired.🥲🥲 This gaslighting one was the only doctor close enough to refill my pump! HOW THE HECK CAN HE STILL BE PRACTICING again IN TX??? PLUS, it took me 4 MONTHS to find a new pain specialist! I WENT THROUGH ALL KINDS OF NOT MENTAL but PHYSICAL withdrawals from not having my medications!!! My pain level was so HIGH, and I was so ill. Due to that, it set my Lupus, RA, and entire immune system because A GASLIGHTING DOCTOR WANTED MONEY FOR A SURGERY I DID NOT NEED. PLUS, I have heart problems to boot, so you can imagine being in severe pain and setting off my immune system, how ill I was).🥲🥲😡😡😡

THROW the WORD "DIET" out of your vocabulary. It's antiquated, AND IT gives people a STIGMA, ESPECIALLY WOMEN.

Instead, use the word or words, "change the way you eat" your eating habits"... although the word habit can be a lousy word to use...

You can control when you eat, how you eat, what you eat, and where you eat.

Each of the above affects your health and your happiness.

You may or may not have a weight issue. Again, the word "weight" should be thrown out of your mind. Your goal is to find balance in all you do.

A positive and LOVING ATTITUDE TO YOURSELF and others goes a very long way!

I'm proud to announce I've made great strides in getting my certifications completed, as well as having a site set up for lab work, ordering discounted supplements, and my business cards will be here in a few days. 2 of my doctors are on board to help sponsor a group or help get patients involved. I also have several ladies in my hometown, as well as online, who are very interested in my expertise.

Plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, olive oil, nuts, seeds, legumes, limited dairy, like low-fat Greek yogurt (if you are NOT dairy limited), meats, such as chicken and turkey, LIMIT RED MEAT AND PORK are great for protein.

If you have not been exercising, begin walking outside, weather permitting, or inside if necessary. YOU MUST MOVE the body to rid the lymphatic SYSTEM OF TOXINS,

Without exercise, you cannot feel or be healthy. It does not mean causing harm to the body by overdoing it, but doing something to get moving.

Many suffer from a depressive order this time of year. I wanted to share a few simple, inexpensive ways to bring warmth, joy, and gratitude during this time of year.

When we are alone, have little family or friends, have suffered a loss or losses during the holidays, or find ourselves not thrilled with the colder temperatures, the dreary, cloudy days, the drizzle or snow, the wind chill, many often feel much like I do.

I was with my Doxie Bella for family at Thanksgiving. I cooked a mini-Thanksgiving dinner for her and me. It was not fancy, but I enjoyed knowing she loves it when I cook for her.

I was a bit upset at first because my neighbors never said hello. Then I knew they had some personal issues, so I felt they were having a difficult time right now. I understand. I used to be one who enjoyed people. I still do. You meet me in the market, doctor's office, or out and about, and I never meet a stranger. I recently had the entire doctors' waiting room talking because I asked one lady a question.

You never know when you will meet an incredible person or people. I do understand why my Mom, as she got older, was more of a homebody. I have dealt with so much severe pain, illnesses, diseases, syndromes, and medical conditions (and yes, they all mean different things).

I find it harder to get out in the bone-chilling, windy, damp weather. I plan my market trips or errands around the warmer time of the day. Some things I order and have delivered if the weather is horrible or my body is just hurting too badly to get out. I do NOT do that often. I have to get out and do things myself. That is one thing that helps. Do not allow yourself, unless you are acutely or critically ill, to get out if you are not well.

There have been several holidays I was either in the hospital or home after a major surgery. I pray I never nor anyone should have to deal with that. I am learning that I must not hurt myself worse by not asking for help. It is not a weakness to ask for assistance when you need it. If something, it's a strength.

You can simmer cinnamon sticks, orange peels, and cloves in a pot of water on the stove. That smell of warm comfort and joy can lift spirits. If you have blinds, you may open them; it will not let the cold in, so you can have light inside.

You can add a red light for red light therapy. It is healing for the cells. It gives you the light rays that can help. Dogs like it, and it is good for them also.

You get your favorite candle scent and burn it. That can bring back good memories, boosting your endorphins. If it is sunny, walk out for a few minutes at a time. That sunlight really helps. But a small bouquet of your favorite flowers or a small plant. The plant helps to pull bad air out and put in good air.

Put up a few decorations. You can make them. Keeping busy, do "winter cleaning" and go through to give away good clothes you may not wear anymore. Give a few cans of food or a toy to the local drives around your town. It is not that you have to spend $$$, but even $5.00 worth of food items, or round up your debit card purchase amount for a good cause.

Read a great book, watch a fantastic Christmas movie, send out e-cards to friends, and say hello to someone who appears to need it. Even those who seem to be grumpy may just be having a worse day than you. Uplift their spirit and yours by giving them a nod that it's okay.

I LOVE being outside, in the garden, working on the lawn, the house, mowing, trimming trees, and anything outdoors. The cold days, when I can't get out, are difficult. I try to bring that in with a plant, flowers, or creating something for myself, my home, or cooking a batch of ginger cookies, sugar cookies, or something decadent.

That smell of pumpkin pie, cookies, walnut pie, quick bread, and fruitcake can spark the bright light of love, laughter, and gratitude within a breath's space.

If you wish, you can read the Bible. The inspiration, knowing it is Christ's birth, can be genuinely a spiritual uplifting. Could you just read a passage or a few when you get to it? For those of you who are interested or need guidance.

Go window shopping! You don't have to buy anything, but getting out of the house, seeing people, looking, and gathering ideas can bring a smile to your day.

Visit an elderly place or give to a cause that offers Santa sacks to those without anyone in their life who are either in a home or home alone. They are doing a reuble sack here and putting 12 small things in it to represent the 12 days of Christmas! It is snack items like tissues, a puzzle book, a small jigsaw puzzle, a small throw blanket, lip balm, hand lotion, hand wipes, and socks with grippers on the bottom. They sent out a list of the items they were going to fix in the sacks and passed them out. It is an excellent way to bring a smile to someone in a nursing home or living alone.

IF you are having a hard time with winter depressive disorder, you need to add Chelated Vitamin C and Vitamin D. Getting enough sleep is number 1. Eating nutritious and healthy meals daily. Kee hydrated. You can go outside even on a cloudy day. The sun is there; it just takes longer to receive the benefits on an overcast day.

BEFORE YOU ADD ANY SUPPLEMENT TO YOUR medications, be sure to DISCUSS IT WITH YOUR PCP. If you care about any medicines, you do not want them to interfere with those. Supplements like Ashwagandha and Magnesium can help with sleep.

Take up. New hobby, buy yourself a new dress or a new tie. You cannot buy happiness, but a great new dress that doesn't have to be expensive can make you feel confident and help you feel great about yourself.

Pain Research is crucial to the well-being of so many of us. We may have autoimmune illnesses, osteoarthritis, and other illnesses, and often trauma that leads to chronic pain. Migraines, mental and emotional abuse, and physical abuse all can bring on an onset of what frequently turns out to be "chronic pain."

You need to know YOU're not alone. As we often wade through the broken and antiquated medical "system," you need to realize there are other ways, other than a Medical Doctor, that can be the answer. How often have you gone to your PCP, a specialist, or a PA and felt you were not heard? They take all of 5 minutes to go over lab work that "appears" to them as usual. You try to ask questions, and they dismiss you.

Why are you dismissed? YOU have done nothing wrong. Our medical system is comprised of physicians who went to medical school, who were never taught to find out why you are not well. Insurance will not pay for extra lab tests unless the doctor can prove you need them. What appears as normal with blood work is NOT optimal. It is factored by many people's labs that are averaged. You are considered "in the average range."

There is a difference between being on the average plane of numbers and being in the range that your body is in homeostasis. Some lab work was run and averaged, which is wrong. Why is this done? Because a medical doctor may not know how to read the absolute truth in that lab work. They never run but what the insurance will pay for. If you are not satisfied with how your doctor is treating you, then it is time to find a NEW doctor.

I know for a fact that they give us a pill AFTER we are ill. They never tried to keep you healthy. They were not taught that. They were taught to read what the lab says; if things are out of balance, then they had a prescription. If you look at the side effects of many prescription medications, they make your health worse, not better.

The FDA, CDC, Big Pharma, and the government want those multi-million dollar drugs given out. They would go broke if people were healthy, feeling great, and not having to be fed a pill for every little wrong thing. Those things would not be bad if what caused the issue in the first place was taken care of before you suffer from an illness.

Why is it that you go in with symptoms, they give you a pill, injection, treatment, and weeks later, you are not better; in fact, you are worse.

It's because that pill is probably either not what your body needs or it is making your symptoms worse, you have side effects, or it's not treating the root cause of your health issue.

We were brought up to believe medical doctors are "gods." They are always correct. We should not question their decisions. I'm telling you now that it is wrong. MY VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF RHEUMATIC DISEASES AND MY PERSONAL STORY

I FINALLY got a proper diagnosis, and after the surgeons saw the actual joints, they saw this was not due to injury but was absolutely an arthritic issues that were then also not just osteoarthritis but Rheumatoid Arthritis. I also found out when I had an injury at 14 years old during a friendly game of baseball with my cousins and some friends. One of the guys accidentally slid into 2nd base and twisted my knee; I had torn cartilage. Years later, one of my orthopedic surgeons mentioned that if they had KNOWN about these diseases back then, they may have known it was more than just a kid's accident. My joints hyper-extend. That was probably the reason my knee was torn up from that. I noticed after that that my joints were all hyperextending. So many of us have the same stories, and like myself, many of us have never seen RA, Lupus, and of course, Osteoporosis has never gone into remission. Lupus goes into remission for months, only to rear its ugly head again. As far as the RA, I have always had activity, at times worse than others. NO biologic, nor any other medication they have tried, has worked. I believe Osteoporosis is related to autoimmune issues. It certainly has caused me lots of grief due to NOT being able to have surgery to repair my lower back, to redo my right shoulder reverse replacement, and now my left thumb, wrist, and fingers are beyond repair. I saw my Orthopedic surgeon a week ago. Even HE feels it may not be feasible to do hand surgery. He also could NOT replace the first reverse shoulder replacement. After I fractured my scapula, my collarbone was broken in two pieces, and I fractured two ribs. I did NOT know the ribs were fractured until they did a CT scan 8 weeks after I fell, and saw the collarbone and shoulder blade were still fractured. They repaired the collarbone, and it looks hideous, but they could NOT repair my shoulder blade, so it is still never unionized. My ribs, of course, healed, but my right shoulder hangs 3 to 4 inches LOWER than my left one. He could NOT replace the first shoulder replacement due to no rotator cuff at all, plus my bones are so porous from the osteoporosis that the hardware would not hold. #MYDREAM is to see a "root cause" discovered for these rheumatic diseases and all autoimmune illnesses, and a total cure in the future for those who have them. I want to know that the future for children does NOT have to be like how many of us suffer and continue to try and find remission or a total cure.

I usually don't speak about "government" much. Everyone has the right to their own thoughts on Religion and Politics. However, when it comes to the health of our people, I will discuss my stance. This is a SERIOUS and VITAL issue from our Seniors to our Children!

We have spent all of our lives thinking doctors, Big Pharma, the CDC, HHS, the FDA, and ALL of our government were trying to help us fight so many crippling illnesses and deadly diseases.

Over twenty years ago, I KNEW SOMETHING WAS VERY WRONG WITH OUR WESTERN Medical system. I have fought my own health problems since I was 17 years old. When I was 35 years old, I had had enough. I never knew exactly HOW TO SPEAK OUT about what I learned from my own experiences; along wth MANY others after I began to see social media and what a nightmare people have with our mainstream medical society.

We have been lied to, deceived, ignored, told we were insane, we were hypochondriacs, and DOCTORS were those TRAINED. It has taken all of my life so far for the TRUTH to begin to come out finally. The fight against deception began when people started to see it and had their eyes opened. We had non-profits formed that PATIENTS staffed, and those fed up with all we have had to put up with. We saw patients become leaders, to be volunteers, Ambassadors, to reach out and go to Washington D.C. to STAND UP AND TELL THEIR STORIES!

I was just ONE of the thousands who have stood in the offices and halls of Congress and told the government our stories. I literally watched my House of Representatives from my district CRY after I stood in front of them and told my journey through the pits of Hades when it came to disease illnesses, surgeries, medications, and ran the gamut OF TESTS, SPECIALISTS, AND TREATMENTS that didn't and continue to "POISON" US RATHER THAN keep us healthy. I had the misconception that doctors were educated to keep us healthy. They were not here to wait until we are critically ill, then throw medications, treatments, and pills that do not work. In fact, if you research most medications we are given for certain conditions, they make us more ill due to side effects that are often worse than the illness itself.

Three years ago, after voting every year since I was voting age, I STOPPED! WHY? Because I knew my "vote" counted for nothing. Our "voting" system is archaic and worthless. It is NOT here to help the people; it's here to keep many lining their pockets with our hard-earned money.

My thoughts are my "voice" among many other voices through volunteering, non-profits, research, and speaking out; this is what may make a difference, rather than a worthless vote.

I wrote my first book, and I joined the voices of several NON-PROFITS TO USE THE KNOWLEDGE AND terrible experiences I HAD BEEN through to CONTINUE TO SPEAK OUT. My voice is present on social media networks, my own blog, in my writing, and even face-to-face with those I meet in my hometown.

MY HOPE is that others will have their head taken out of the sand, and stand UP for their own health, along with so many that suffer with often disabling, debilitating, AND EVEN DEADLY ILLNESSES.

I have learned to speak out if I am not in agreement with my health care providers. I have the opportunity to tell my story anywhere I can. I have found alternative health methods that can benefit us without side effects, hair loss, or exacerbating our existing health issues. YOU and your insurance, IF you have it, and it helps YOU

I never settle for what my medical folks tell me. I research, I question, I tell them exactly how I feel. The older physicians may not like what we have to say. They want to blame "Google", social media, and the internet for our "often different ways of thinking." YES, that is true. We have to dissect the information we find. We need to research every place we come across. We ask questions. We read what our non-profits find. We do not fall for all the bogus information we come across. So, when a doctor says you can't believe everything you read on "DR. Google," I say I don't! I DO research every test, every medication, every surgery (unless a true emergency), and I can't at the moment."

IF I offend one of my doctors who should listen to us, then if they have a specific reason for not agreeing with us, they should EXPLAIN their reasoning. Your doctor should never "gaslight us." If you have not researched medical GASLIGHTING, I SUGGEST YOU DO. IT EXISTS. You may never realize what is happening. We were taught THE DOCTOR IS ALWAYS CORRECT. That is NOT true! They are human too. They make mistakes. They have also been given schooling, training, and listened to Big Pharma, our insurance companies, and the government.

I have witnessed medical gaslighting myself more than once. When a doctor dismisses your questions, tells you that you are a hypochondriac, YOU do not KNOW WHAT YOU are talking ABOUT, QUIT BELIEVING DR. GOOGLE, not calling in medications on time, doing procedures and treatments that are not what we need, and even surgeries that could have been avoided, and even uddenly "firing us" as a patient for no good reason... THAT IS A PART OF MEDICAL GASLIGHTING.

Doctors who overload schedules, keep you sitting in a tiny room for HOURS waiting on them, are often ridiculous! OUR TIME is just as crucial as a doctor's. Sometimes emergencies happen. I've learned that if I am waiting in the room for a physician for over 2 hours, I get up, reschedule, and leave. I have recently done it twice. Bless my PCP heart. He genuinely cares so much; he often doesn't overbook, but he believes in spending enough time with a patient. Fortunately, I can ask him questions through the patient portal or share new information with him via message. He then has the information he needs for my visit. Or I do not have to make a trip for an office visit. He can answer my question or, at times, call in a script or have the nurse give me an injection for the Lupus/RA flares without having to see him.

The last time I finally got up and rescheduled, I had been sitting in the exam room for 3 hours. It was late in the afternoon, and he was still tied up with a patient, and my chart takes time to go through before an appointment. He never gets upset and understands. Due to chronic pain, if I have to wait too long, their office is like a freezer. The chairs provided for patients are incredibly uncomfortable. When I start to feel pain, need to get up and move around, or am so cold that it worsens the pain, and it's been over 2 hours, I reschedule. It happened to me twice 2 months ago. I left both times. It worked out.
The visit was to review my lab work, discuss my health conditions, address any new developments, and answer questions. If it is urgent, he usually has one of his NPs to take. LOOK at me. He usually KNOWS, UNLESS IT IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE. THEY KNOW THEY CAN WRITE THE SCRIPT IF I NEED AN ANTIBIOTIC AND SO FORTH. I AM IN AND out quickly. I've been a patient of his for 2 months since he came here. He has diagnosed me with things that others told me I did not have. He has been my PCP for 18 years. I can sometimes call or send a message with my symptoms and what's going on, and he can send in a script or decide if I need to be seen. He knows me so well, and he knows I usually know exactly what is wrong, so it saves me having to get out, go to an office when I am really FEELING TOO LOUSY TO GET OUT. He knows if I feel I need to be seen, I'll go in if necessary.

Recently, I found out about RFK, Jr. since he was elected to the HHS. I started listening to what he has to say, how he feels about our antiquated, totally messed-up medical system. He has spoken out about the FDA, CDC, Big Pharma, and how MONEY is what they want. They do not wish to keep us well. They would lose their shirts. Their MONEY would dry up. In other words, GREED rules our Big Pharma, and the governmental bodies put in place to keep us well. If they were to keep us well, we would not need statins, blood pressure medications, cancer medications, and autoimmune medications, which are off the charts!

He had written several books. One of them is about the "Wuhan lies" regarding COVID-19.

Of course, some of the others in the government want him out. They want to squelch his voice. After all, their funds would dwindle.

SO, THIS MORNING, I AM SPEAKING OUT! I am continuing to research HIS thoughts and THE BILLS he believes in. He certainly does not support our president's opinions.

We Tend to Hide Pain and Disabilities

Some disabilities show on the outside. SOME disabilities do not show at all. Those of us with many of these disabilities hide. We do not want pity, sadness, longing, and all of the things people don't say or do say, because they don't know what to say.
For me, I want to feel normal, look normal, and be treated as if I had no pain, no illnesses, no tears, and no fear. I DO have a long list of worries and doubts. I often look at Bella and see the love in her big, brownish-green eyes, feel her long, silky ears, and those beautiful, huge paws. If there is a love of my life, she is. When no one else is around, when the pain and heartache are nearly too much to bear, Bella is my rock. Some may not understand how a dog gives you courage and unconditional love and takes away the fears of what life can throw at us.
I'm having difficulty beginning a new book. I've listened to music nonstop, read other books, watched "Virgin River" and "Good Witch" again, and watched a couple of Christmas Movies for inspiration.
I realize that writer's block is temporary. I've been through this before. I have so many emotions running through my heart and mind about how my life has been a hot mess due to illness, loss, and all of the other things life throws our way.
Each of you with a disability, whether seen or hidden, YOU are perfect. YOU deserve happiness and a life fulfilled in every way.
I had so many plans, being a nurse, and I wished I had known more about Functional Medicine and how we can heal without some of the terrible Western medicine that has been thrown at us. I seriously considered taking a Functional Medicine class to help others. They are expensive, but finding one you can trust is a huge issue. As I delve into this new book (although I had a 2nd one written), pray that I can find my path to help others.
