So I've been off line since 13th but I have good reason. A few weeks ago I fell over and hurt my ribs. ABSOLUTE agony for days. Still in pain now, then last Monday I got admitted to hospital for a week with cellulitis to my

face. Then to make me happy my other half agreed to letting me have a puppy.

So I have been making a few bits and bobs still while being poorly. I'll post pictures of my makes at the end. It's been a strange few weeks with everything and the time has just flown by but I've still managed to find time to make some items. The cellulitis in my ear and neck caused so much pain and I was on iv antibiotics for a week. Still on antibiotics but tablet form now so able to be happy at home.

So here we go my beautiful creations if somewhat some of them rushed as I wanted to make sure I still made an item each day

Wow where has the time gone?? I have been naughty not posting this past week but I have reason. One evening last week I stupidly fell over and hurt my ribs. I must say the pain I've had has been worse than childbirth lol, mostly because it's gone in longer than a few days. I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain so therefore I have been taking it easy and have also been laid up for a few days. But this in mind I still have found time to craft, well crochet and make some lovely tutus. My 2 year old little girl is performing her ballet dance this weekend and I was asked to make the tutus for the girls, 9 to be precise. I only manage to capture 4 of the girls wearing the tutus but they look so cute. I also managed to finish off my daughters crocheted top, which is sooooo cute, oh and maybe a few bits of jewellery. I just no matter how poorly cannot craft, unfortunatly or fortunately it's in my nature and without it I would be lost.

Today I went wool shoping with a friend so one of my next projects is a teddy bear. I quite fancy having a go at amigurumi so just might google patterns tonight. So that's 8 days with 12 items. Not bad for a poorly one lol

Right tea time is now calling so off to feed the monkeys

Today's make was for my little girl. The pictures certainly don't do it any justice and she insisted on putting it straight on. So here it is. A tutu. Only it is made for playing in. Practice makes perfect so they say so watch out for more tutus

So although it has been a busy weekend I manage to fit in some crafts. Mind you my time was limited as today is my little boys 5th birthday and we spent most of the afternoon searching the northwest for skylanders as he wanted to buy them with his birthday money.

So yesterday I managed to make some polymer clay pendants. I imprinted them with a cameo and use silver dust to enhance. Today as my time was limited I made a beautiful angel pendant, just need to add a chain to it now.

Today has been a busy day but as always I manage to fit my crafts in and I am really determined to complete this challenge as it's been an ongoing one since 2011 for myself. So today I crocheted some flowers. I am in the middle of crocheting a dress for my little 2 year old and wanted a few flowers to add into it so I did a mixture. I am half way through the dress and hoping to finish it by tomorrow so I can show you all. It's very pretty. Hope you've all had a good day today.

I've also decided to loose weight so will probably post about this too. I need to loose 3 stone as I have been very lazy the past 6 months and need to sort myself out. So watch this space with the weight loss.

Well another year has passed and it's been one heck of a busy year. Unfortunatly I've not updated my blog this year but I am in a very determined mood and have decided this year I will make an item each day. I've been creating jewellery and learnt how to crochet this year but also still love my sewing so my items will be a mixture of crafts. I am also going to take some courses this year learning new crafts. I had a dabble in decopage and porclain clay during December but would love to learn how to do silversmithing. This year I turn the dreaded big 40 so this is something I would like to do before that day.

Anyway off to get rid of my terrible hangover and create something beautiful. Watch this space

Here we are in the middle of January 2013 already and so much has happened since my last post. I've had another baby, my beautiful little girl dara, we've moved house and I've taken on a role of fundraising for my local toddler group. I love to keep busy but really haven't had much time for myself lately. Although I always manage to find a little slot in the day for my crafts. Creations keep me sane and in a house of crazy like mine it's important to have a moment for me. I will post the creations soon as at the moment I'm yet again juggling things, feeding my baby , typing and still not made it downstairs. So once I've taken pictures, fed the kids, cleaned the house and fed the dogs I will post on here. I'm going to now try and make an effort to upload more frequently as I've just invested in an app for my phone. So don't loose faith in me and I'll keep you all updated.

New year

Well the new year is here and everyone is getting back into the swing of things. Same goes for me. The begining of the year i have had a busy time. My youngest turned 2 years old and my eldest turned 18. To celebrate we all went away as a family to centerparcs for a week. Once back home we've had busy busy busy times, homework, parties, poorly children and sorting out the house from christmas.
But i'm back now and i have made a promise to myself to begin my items each day. I've sorted out my craft room, with new ikea storage and although its small its compact with everything i need in.
I have also promised myself to learn new crafts this year. Last year was a tough year for me and although i stopped blogging i did'nt stop crafting.
I am determind to blog as often as possible and i can asure you all my year has started.
I will take pictures of my new items and upload asap for you all to see. I love my new and improved craft room and look forward to going into it each day even if it is only for and hour.

So for now i'll stop my blogging and concentrate on my making skills

Busy Busy Busy

Good morning to you all,

This week has been quite a hectic one with my children all being on school holidays, my car breaking down, getting towed off the motorway, paying a fortune to get it removed, hiring a van to take items out of it and also going to the car the other day to find that some scally has stolen it for scrap. Haha i hear you say noooooooooo its not a lie it all happened this week. Just another week of my life.
That's not all, i was busy completing my first edition of the NCT (local) newsletter and to top everything off because we didn't have a car sorted until the Friday i was biking everywhere with my children. (Shattering)
Oh yes i decided to wake up on Wednesday and take take the children (except my eldest because she was doing her volunteering work) to Liverpool for the day. This was a lovely day out except we missed 2 trains home so didn't get home until gone 10.30pm.
Amongst all this i, believe it or not actually managed to make some craft item which i will upload later on (when i get round to photographing)
So now its Sunday morning (31st July 2011) and I'm up early with the baby but all he wants to do is make me sit in his little tykes playhouse and make cups of tea. That's all good and well except I'm nearly 6 foot so its slightly cramped inside.
I live the life of a mad red head with mad children and things you wouldn't believe that happen to me.
So today's Sunday, a day of rest or so i wish, hope and pray for, but in reality i know that won't happen for me. Probably another bike ride or i may drag the children to a big park to play.
Yesterday i went with all my kids to the beach in anglesey which after 3 attempts we found a lovely beach, although it took us 3 hours driving for a 1 hour journey. Like i said my life is very unpredictably funny but its my life and I LOVE IT.!!!!!!

The end of a good time

It is with a sad heart that i now am giving up my challenge. This is for many reasons, but the main instigator is that my mother was taken into hospital 6 weeks ago and because i was back and too at least 2 -3 times a day i have been struggling with time. Running a family, a home and taking care of my mother who is now on the mend has been a very hard and challenging time. I am very sad that i cannot carry on this challenge but it has proven to me that having a large family and commiting to such a challenge, fun though its been can be very hard to carry on with especially when other things, problems get thrown into the equation.
I will carry on blogging and carry on making items but i wont be committing myself to getting stressed with making one item each day. This is probably a good challenge for someone who has no children or maybe one or two and no other commitments.
I will be blogging my items that i have done over the next week so watch this space.

Week 21 and 22

Hello dear bloggers and how are you all???? It's been a hectic busy couple of weeks in my household. We've had exams for the oldest 2, lots of different appointments, ferrying my mum about, parties, and school holidays so all in all a couple of busy weeks. This is why, yet again i am combining 2 weeks into one post. I decided to have a bit of a change and create some jewellery but i have concentrated on rings. As time has been limited some of my items only took upto 30 minutes to make and some a bit less. Although some a bit more so again i ask for you all to comment and let me have feedback on my items. PLEASE.
Before i upload my pictures i will just tell you about the course both myself and my daughter are going on this week. This i a card making course although i have not yet been on one of these in depth courses so i am hoping to pick up quite a few ideas and tips.

Week 20

Its funny how you can get so involved with a craft even when you have never had an interest in it before. This week i have developed my obsession and carried on with card making and i have even booked myself on a course. Again this week i have spent more money, bought more magazines and read (well flicked through) lots of books. Its amazing the scope you get with card making and your imagination knows no limits. I've begun a craft i honestly thought i would never attempt (mostly because my partners ex use to make cards and he always comment how boring she was). I was not good at art when i was at school although i loved drawing but with card making i have been able to draw with the stamps and colour the pictures in.
What i have also found quite shocking is how expensive die cutting machines can be. I bought an embossing machine last week for £20 but when i looked into the price of die cutters i was stunned on how much they cost and the accessories (templates) too.
So i have decided to use a Stanly knife and cut my costs. I also fancy trying scrap booking although i will need to look into that first before i begin.
So here are my cards from this week, including today (saturday) so i have 8 items. Hope you enjoy looking and see you next week

Week 19

This week i have managed to keep my blog up to date (so a round of applause for me teehee) but i have managed to venture into the unknown and try out a new craft. This week i threw myself into card making. This, i thought, would be simple and quite an easy craft to undertake but in Sarah style nothing is ever easy. What better way to begin a new craft than to go and buy a couple of magazines with simple step by step instructions. I didn't just buy a couple of magazines though i also spent a small fortune on cards, stamps, embossing machine, embossing pads, stickers etc.
I never realised just how much a new Craft costs and just how many new items i would need to buy. I suppose if you just want to make a couple of cards you only need a small starter pack but i love to have a variety of items when making things so i just thought why not build up my collection and buy what i am drawn to.
So back to the cards, as it turned out one of my daughters had a couple of friends birthdays this week so she made the present and i used this opportunity to begin my week of card making. I allowed myself 30 minutes each day this week because over the week i have been struggling with my organisation so with 30 minutes each evening (or more if i had the time) i managed to start my craft at 9pm each night.
I have thoroughly enjoyed making cards and this morning took another trip to our local craft shop to purchase some more stamps and water colour pencils.

Anyway enough typing now and on with the pictures.

This was the first card i attempted using a stamp and colouring in the bits which needed colour. Stamping is addictive

I wanted to make girly cards so i thought what better way but to make a ballet dress card. I bought all the bits and then glued them onto the card

This technique uses sticking pictures ontop of each one.

I made this card with my new embossing machine. LOVE IT!!!!! I cut the hearts out by hand and glued them onto the card

Again i used my embossing machine and coloured in some of the flowers

This too was using my embossing machine with butterflys glued back over

And last but not least i cut out all the shapes by hand and stamped on the card.

Okay so it has been a while, a month to be exact but things have been hectic although that is no excuse. April is not a good month in my household, its a sad month so because of that and lots of other things i have not had the time or patience to upload my blog. So i have included four week into this post (lots of pictures).
As you will see from the pictures most of my items are jewellery, this is mainly because i have limited time each day to make items (although i did manage it) so i choose the things which i found easier to make. I do still intend on making lots of different crafts and get myself booked onto lots of different courses. This month has seen lots of different things also happening in my household. My baby has grown into a little monkey who needs watching all and i mean ALL the time. He now love climbing on chairs and tables and doing anything he shouldn't. Today he took to biting his sister which she didn't take kindly too as you can imagine. He is still only little and at 16 months old has a very old head on his shoulders.
I've also had lots of homework because of my breastfeeding course and to make things even harder on myself i took over the role of newsletter editor for our local branch of the NCT. In between all this i have been attending fashion shows with my daughter, lots of the usual kiddy appointments, running round like a crazy mum and even found time to ride my pushbike everyday for 30 minutes.
WOW i feel exhausted just writing this let alone doing it all. I never realised just how hectic my life can be but i suppose being a mum to 5 children its part and parcel.
So anyway back to the crafts, i haven't put a big description on each but if anyone reading this wants any more information please just contact me

Weeks 13 and 14

Well here we are again, another week another set of items, except this week is 2 rolled into 1 again. For this i hope is okay i have just been very busy and finding the time to sit down and type my post is hard. I prefer spending time making my items. But anyway i have been busy but will try my hardest to make a concerned effort to upload my items each week, or maybe every couple of days.
These past two weeks i have concentrated on sewing although i have thrown in a few steam punk items. I have decided i need to broaden my horizons so if anyone has any suggestions or ideas please leave a comment, every one is read. I need to try and put myself on some day courses for different crafts so thinking cap on and brains at the ready.
Anyway back to my items.
These past two weeks like i said i have concentrated on sewing items and although a few items are similar they took me a while to complete.

So i started the week with a simple ring. These were bits that i had bought some weeks before so i just attached them with super glue to a ring base and i think that it looks good.

A simple button necklace. I used a long piece of wire and bent it in half. I attached the buttons then curled the bottom.

My dress which i made a little too small for me (my aim is to get into it soon because i have already lost 2 stone on slimming world, just 1 more to go). So i got my eldest daughter to model it, the only problem is now that she likes it and wants to keep it. NO WAY!!!!!

A simple flower for the hair. This sewn flower was made by attaching seperate petals then adding a bobble on the back

The same as the flower above but made with a brooch attachment on the back. The patals are made from cutting out 6 squares then folding them diagnol and sewing on the outside, contiue until all petals are attached together

A simple skirt made for my 10 year old daughter. As you can see ffrom the picture she likes the skirt

Another simple skirt but this was made for my 14 year old (who unfortunatly had gone out while i was taking the pictures, so it is modelled by my 17 yr old).

Hello all and here i am!!!! No i haven't disappeared off the face of the earth i have been so busy with family life over the past 2 week i decided to upload 2 weeks into one. As you all know i am a mum to 5 children so life can be very hectic so finding the time to sit and type is hard (this is because my spare allocated time has been taken up making craft items instead). So here we have it 2 weeks rolled into one post. This is going to be a lot of pictures (well 14 ) and very minimal typing. I am trying to find every spare second today to write this post so parts of it are being typed while i am having my morning cuppa while feeding a poorly baba and parts are being typed while preparing tea. WHO SAYS WOMEN CAN'T MULTI-TASK!!!!!!.
As i said at the beginning of the post my last 2 weeks have been quite hectic with appointments, presentation evenings/days, parents evenings, toddlers, more appointments etc. I can't even put my finger on one specific busy moment i just know that these past 2 weeks i don't seem to have stopped.
So here we go, please let me know what you think to my items. I am at present in the process of completing a dress so that will be uploaded next week. This has been a project at my sewing class for 2 weeks but i have not yet finished the bias binding so by next Wednesday that will be done and my item for that day.

I thought with this i would have a go at making a headpiece. Not bad for my first attempt. My daughter said she will wear it for a special occasion

This is a small frame with some material added for decoration. I painted the frame gold cut out a dove and covered in material for decoration.

I love this necklace, it has a vintage feel and was quite simple to make, using up spare bits of broken jewellery and lace.

Another headpiece, this was slightly harder to make due to the flowers, although i do like the finished effect.

A simple headband made for my younger daughter to wear to school.

A matching ring to go with the head band. I used a wire to attach the button then glued the bow onto the button.

A simple cameo ring, this was easy to make and i feel a bit of a cheat saying i made this item because i really only glued the camoe onto a ring base.

Although i glued this dove onto a ring base i cut the dove out of very thin mdf and glued material onto it.

Week 10

This week has flown by again, wow and I can't believe how busy I've been. Again I have managed my items for the week but because of limited time I have done the best I could. I did a few sewing items as well as some paper items.

This weekend coming I am attending a mind body and spirit fair where I will be reading angel cards, so a few of my craft items were made for this. Also my daughters vintage stall will be there so I made a piece of jewellery for her. I also made some items for my baby boy and something for myself. I really enjoyed making this week because it wasn't all jewellery. The angel cards took a long time to do because i didn't make just one i did 30 of each that you see.

Although we are already into March I am still loving my challenge and am very proud of myself for sticking to it.

Week 9

Firstly i will start off this post with an apology. I am so sorry that i am a day late in uploading my items this week but i have had a slightly busy, (mega hectic) week. Days flow by so fast and with my 5 children, life, shopping and making all my crafts i cannot find enough time for the time to relax. This week was my birthday week (well yesterday Friday 4th march) so from an early start to a late night i did not have enough time during the day to upload my post. I had a totally fantastic day yesterday and that is all thanks to my fantastic children and wonderful partner. I was woken up at 6am yesterday morning to 4 sets of tiptoeing feet running up and down the stairs. When i eventually got out of bed at 7am i went downstairs to find the house decorated with balloons and banners. The kitchen and downstairs had been cleaned up and on the kitchen table was a tier of small cake with a candle on signing happy birthday. The girls spoilt me rotten, made me food, drinks and beautiful presents (which i was told i had to wear throughout the day). After the rabbles all went to school my eldest daughter, myself and my baby all attended toddler group, where we ate lots of cakes and drunk lots of tea. Then the afternoon my partner and baby took me for a wonderful meal. Home time came round and then we all went ten pin bowling. By the time we got home and got everyone into bed it was 10pm, glass of wine time. Then off to bed for an early start this morning because my eldest daughters and i attended a mind, body and spirit fair.
Thursday evening my eldest daughter and i went to see psychic sally live. She was amazing and even though the tickets were my birthday present from my eldest daughter i would DEFINITELY go back again to see her as she fascinated me. The rest of the week has been busy with normal day to day things such as shopping, appointments, craft making, homework and the usual spending quality time with each of my children. OH YES i almost forgot. I had a midlife crisis moment on Thursday afternoon, i took my eldest daughter (she is 17) and we both went and had our belly buttons pierced. teeeeheeee.
So a busy busy week this week but i managed to make an item each day. The past few weeks i have concentrated on jewellery and have done so again this week only because my daughter wants some beautiful item for her vintage stall. I hope to try and get back into making different items next week. I hope you like what you see and i promise i will begin making more varied items soon

The tiered cakes that my daughters made for me on my birthday (6 am in the morning)

First item, a pair of earrings made from polymer clay.

A beautiful pair of earrings made with polymer clay. This is really easy to work with once you know how and the list is endless as to what you can make

Love these earrings because they make me feel a big glam. Made with my daughters beads that she bought (don't tell her teeheee)

Small beaded cluster Ring. To make this ring i added small beads to some wire and wrapped around a ring base (with holes in).

Again another ring but this one was made with polymer clay, beads attached and added onto a flat ring base

I LOVE wire wrapping so this ring is one of my favourites. I wrapped the wire to form the ring then with the extra wire i twisted and added a pearl onto it.

This ring was made on the same principal as the last ring but instead of adding on a pearl i added on a charm bird. I love making rings like this because you can make them to adjust to any finger size.

I decided to have a go making fimo charms to use on our jewellery, these are what i made and i am quite pleased with how they turned out, especially the gingerbread man.

Wow what a busy week it's been and i must first apologise for not updating the blog as i said i would.

The week began last Saturday with myself and my eldest daughters attending a craft and vintage fair. My eldest daughter has started a new venture, a vintage clothing and accessory stall, so i made the banner for her and she organised the stall. The jewellery that she sold on the stall was a mixture of new (made by all 3 of us) and old vintage pieces bought from charity shops and antique centres.

I had a stall next to her reading Angel cards. This has been a passion of mine for a while and i have read them for a number of years but always been to family members and friends (and friends of friends).

We really enjoyed this fair and i did many readings which has encouraged us to attend more fairs (because i have the car so she needs me to go to them).

The rest of the week was a blur and has flown by. My younger girls have all been back at school although my eldest has had the week off college so we have been out most days, attending jumble sales, play dens, craft centres etc.

So that's my week and by the time i have sat down each evening its been late and I've been tired so this week i have opted to stay safe and make an item of jewellery each night. This is mainly because i know what I'm doing, it doesn't take as much effort (although one piece took over an hour to complete) and also because i needed a few birthday presents for a few friends. I have only put a brief description under each item because it really doesn't take much explanation.

So anyway i hope you like the items, also i have included a few pictures of our stalls at the weekend.

Hello everyone

This week has been manic so i am not writing a long blog tonight.

Tomorrow i am off to a craft fair with my 2 eldest daughters (hence the Little miss retro sign which was made for my daughters stalll)

I've made some interesting things this week and because tonight i am mad busy trying to sort out everything

for the fair i am not writing about everything although i will update tomorrow or sunday so watch this space

Week 6

This week has been a busy week because not only did we have a lot on i also had 2 of my daughters birthdays. The week started with a trip to the Stitch and Creative craft show at the GMEX. It was really busy and although i was really excited about attending i was slightly disappointed with the show. I hoped there would have been more sewing and wool stalls but unfortunately the majority of stalls were for decoupage and card makers. I made the most of the show and invested in some different craft materials, cards, hat material, wool, jewellery and some material. I spent a FORTUNE but at least i have the opportunity to have a go at some other crafts. Although i was disappointed with the lack of sewing stalls it was a good day out because i spent the rest of the afternoon in the town shopping. Sunday gave me a chance to wrap some birthday presents and chill a bit, catch up with cleaning and spending some quality time with my other half.
On Monday the first birthday of the week for my now 10 year old mini teenager. Busy day with family dropping by and a tea party so my time was limited but when all the chaos has calmed down and the visitors began to leave i tucked them all up in bed and finally got to my crafts. The rest of the week was a blur, but then again on Thursday my other daughters 8th birthday came. She was overly excited and SO hyper so my evening was taken up with trying to calm her down and because of this her bed time was extended by 2 hours ARRRRHHHHHHHH. So i really had limited time. But anyway i have finally got to Friday and uploaded, even though it is a lot later than when i usually blog. Here's a run down of what i made on which day (although the pictures are not uploaded in any order).

This was made for my daughters best friends 8th birthday.I was not sure what to make so when i asked my daughter she said her friend LOVES skirts, so her we have it. It took a while to make and when we gave it to her she loved it. I'm not brilliant at taking pictures so i thought i would put 2 on the blog

This bag was made for my daughter for swimming. I love the material it's really girly so i thought it would be ideal for her. I lined it with a waterproof material so she can throw her wet towel in with no worries of ruining the bag.

This was a quick and simple headband made again for my 8 year old. She loves the material and when i made it she suggested i put a matching star on, so part of this is her design.

I never have too many purses and this helped me to practice my zip technique. I lined it with the same material too so it gives a more professional look.

A cute little applique bib for my baby boy. We need lots of bibs in our house so because they can be quite expensive i decided to cut up an old towel and recycle what i already had. I used a cut out from the material i used for the swim bag and it made a pretty bib.

I made this bag for my little boy. I thought it would make a good laundry bag because his washing always gets mixed up with the girls and because we wash his separately to theirs i thought this would be a good way of keeping it separate.

MY BUNTING!!!! This i really love and as you can see from the picture my little boy loves it too. This has been made to go in his room but while i was taking the picture i put it up in the front room. Its simple to make and i used a pattern out of one of my new books.

Week 5

This week I started to feel lots better so having thought about what i wanted to make i came up with blank. OH NO can it be I've run out of things to make!!!!!!. No i just had no idea what to make this week and with being poorly the week before all my energy has been drained, and my mind too.

Anyway my friend gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and called him Arthur so what better than to make baby Arthur some lovely items.

Inspired i decided to start week 5 with a simple task, so with my latest copy of sew hip i began cutting out the material.

Over this week i have made 5 lovely items for baby Arthur and 2 for my beautiful baby boy. I LOVE sewing and when i get the time it relaxes me. Its not a good hobby to do when you have children asking and mithering for things constantly so i have to pick my time carefully. This week has flown by and i am now starting to think about what to make for the coming week. I have 2 of my daughters birthdays this week so maybe something for them. Also tomorrow my 2 eldest daughters and I are attending the stitch and creative craft show so i am hoping i will come away inspired with lots of new ideas. I am booking us in to a couple of demonstrations/workshops with card making, jewellery etc.

Anyway lets get onto my items. Hope you enjoy browsing them as much as i did making them. I will let you know what my friend thinks of her present soon.

I have uploaded each item in no particular order this week as i as find it can take hours uploading each one. So sorry for this but i am trying to workout how to download the new version of blogger because my daughter has said it is easier to write under each picture.

This wasitcoat is a fantastic piece of clothing for winter days and i made this for baby Arthur to match the next item (booties)

This was made from a pattern that i have had sitting around for nearly a year but never dared to attempt. I am quite pleased with the outcome although i think i can still practice on this one. A lovely pair of bootiesThis lovely little hat is made with awarm fleece material to keep the little head warm. It also matches the other item made so far

I couldn't resist making another wasitcoat but for my little one. As you can see from the picture he looks impressed teehee
This blanket was quite easy to make although i decided to personalise it by adding baby Arthurs name. A lovely presentThe last item is another hat. I love this material it is so warm but it is quite hard to work with. Unfortunatly i am usually covered in fluffy bits after working with this and the item always needs to be washed before used, but all in all i love this hat

This was an idea because i have just moved my little one into his room, so i thought why not make a little cushion. And what better was to practice my applique. He loves penguins so i decided to go for that and i am pleased with the outcome. I still need to practice my applique and have ordered a few books this week but i love this

What a week 4 its been

Well what a week this has been, it certainly has been a challenge this week. I started the week very inspired and motivated so thought why not do some hand sewing. I love hand sewing but it is one of those crafts you really need to have time to do and definitely the patience. So my usual put the kids to bed then get on with the crafts applied. I created some lovely items for myself and my daughter to use. But things are always too good to be true and because i started off on a good note things were bound to go wrong.

With Saturday, Sunday and Mondays crafts made i thought i was on a roll but then came Tuesday. On Tuesday i took my baby and my other half out for a lovely lunch. We had a great time, even the baby enjoyed running around and spying on other peoples plates, so when i came home i put the baby down for his afternoon nap and decided to join him. When i woke up i felt as though i had been hit by a bus. My whole body ached and i had the worse headache that i have ever experienced.

That was the beginning of my flu. As the week went on i felt progressively worse but knowing that i couldn't stop my challenge just because i was poorly i decided to opt for the good old faithful jewellery, although i did start to attempt knitting a pair of booties for my friend who has just given birth to a baby boy. Unfortunatly this knitting pattern is a little bit hard for me to understand so this is definatly an ongoing project. Think i might have to take a trip to my local wool shop to see if they can help me fathom it out.

I am now typing to you tucked up with soup, plenty of medicine, lots of water and cups of tea from my daughter. My partner has been really good too waiting on me and taking care of our little one. I am never ever poorly so this has been a real set back for me (i must be poorly because i have not even put my make up on).

So anyway back to my crafts, i hope your not disappointed with my makes this week but i have stuck to my challenge even though I'm poorly.

I hope you like each item and i will see you all next week with lots more items. I am hopefully going to start including more info and tutorials so watch this space

First item is a pin cushion set on top of a jar so i can store all my loose buttons in. I tend to collect lots of buttons although i don't really have any proper storage for them so this was an ideal way for me to store both my buttons and pins.

The next item i made was yet again another pin cushion but this time for my daughter. She saw mine and complained that she didn't have anywhere to store her pins, so guilt trip set in I made her this pin cushion in the shape of a raspberry.

So my next item i saw in this months addition of sew hip magazine. I love brooches and love jazzing up plain clothing with accessories. This was quite a simple item to make and only took about 40 Min's to complete. This is hand sewn so that's why it takes time but the finished result is very affective.

My next item i decided to make a pair of earrings. Women never have enough earrings and ilove earrings so i made some beautiful chandelier style earrings with green and silver beads.This necklace was made with cord for the chain and some heart beads which i have saved for a rainy day.This bracelet has got to be my favourite item this week. I made this using safety pins, beads and clear elastic. It may look complicated but the way to make this is by cutting 2 pieces of clear elastic (size of wrist) then next add onto the safety pins some small beads. You then thread 2 beads onto the elastic then thread a safety pin. Do this until all safety pins are on, then repeat on the bottom. Its a very effective design which looks expensive

This brown memory wire beaded bracelet is another beautiful design and i love working with memory wire (although it can be tough to bend). With memory wire your imagination can go into overdrive with the colour of the beads you apply. Brown is one of my favourite colours (along with green) so i decided to stick with safe this week and make something i could wear out next week when i am feeling better
