Where did you go? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that you are gone. Quite frankly, your coldness hurts my bones. However, your quick departure has left me scrambling to get my goals done so I don't look like a slacker. So I blame you January. It's all your fault. I accept no responsibility. 2. Design the rest of wedding marketing packet, print and assemble.--just plain failed on that one.
3. Get some sort of shop going.-- Still on the fence on this one. I know I talked about CafePress but I'm just not sure I want to take this on.
4. Make a Facebook fan page.-- done! Are you a fan?
5. Update website.-- hmmm nope. But I have been thinking about how I want to structure it.
6. Small Business Marketing.-- Brochure is half designed in my head. Does that count?
7. Work on a project that I am super excited about but I'm keeping my mouth shut at the moment until things progress!-- THE BALL IS ROLLLLLLING!!! But it's still a secret.

This past Saturday I started training with Team in Training to run the San Diego Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon on June 6th. The team supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help find a stop to leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am excited and nervous all at once. I'm not a runner. Never have been. But I'm looking to challenge myself and what better way to do it than for a great cause. And another plus is getting to travel to a great city like San Diego.

So you've signed up for all these social networking sites. Now, how do you get friends? Duh, calling cards with all your info on them! Here's my version of it. Of course, it's a total spoof. That's only because I'm finding humor in the social media world. :)

What do you think? Do you see these being passed around at high schools?

I have come to the decision that this will be my last design challenge. I know, boo. But I am taking on a major design challenge and trying to grow my business and take over the world. Haha. Maybe not take over the world...maybe Jacksonville? Ok. Ok. I'll settle for the Universe. You talked me into it.

Ah Facebook. Everybody has gone crazy over Facebook. Spending countless hours socializing with friends, playing addictive games and generally stalking each other. But it's all in good fun. Just like this Facebook inspired notecard design.

I keep looking for the "like this" link everywhere! All of the social networking sites should have it.

It just so happens I know the coolest kid ever. Yep. It's true. No lie. His name is Kyle and he turned 4. And because Kyle is so cool, he got an awesome birthday card from me...complete with a hand drawn dino. And yes, that dino was drawn on my new Wacom Intuos 4.

There's plenty of room to write a personal note. Which I happen to think is the cool thing to do.

Yep. I had to let him know how cool he is. :D

I've been such a bad blogger this week. I haven't given ya'll anything to read or look at except goals. But I promise I have great things in store and that I am working my brain off on great projects. And I know, I know I haven't even started this month's design challenge. But I will this weekend. Swear.

The Monthly Goal Meetup has found a new home at Athena Dreams. Liz has some exciting things under way for the group, which will now be called The Meetup, including a private Facebook page as well as a list on Twitter where advice, tips and general conversation can take place.

To participate in the meetup:

So my goals for December where somewhat tackled but mostly they evolved into new goals...

December Goals:

1. Complete listings on Etsy.--Decided not to go the way of Etsy. Looking into other options.
2. Design sample wedding paper suite.--Mostly designed. A few more pieces left.
3. Design wedding marketing brochure.--Decided to include the wedding paper suite into a marketing packet instead of a single brochure.
4. Mail marketing postcard to small startup businesses.--Still gathering a list.

Now onto January:

1. Finish wedding paper suite and send to printer.
2. Design the rest of wedding marketing packet, print and assemble.
3. Get some sort of shop going.

5. Update website.

I already talked about My New Year but now it's the real New Year and I couldn't be more excited! I'm leaving for Atlanta in a little over 3 hours! Hopefully, traffic and weather will be good and I will make it there before midnight. And any snow that wants to come can hold off till I'm there and not driving in it. Hello! Florida girl here. But just in case... I have my sweater boots on and ready for it.

Here we are...the last week of this month. This year! And here is the last design entry in the Project Runway turned Carol Hannah inspired stationery.

As the others...we have Tiffany blue with black and white details and a lovely monogram set inside a fashionable emblem. This time it's packaged like a Tiffany's box. Will it be your words that are the gist inside?

Any ideas for next month's design challenge?

As you read I am most likely getting all giddy opening my Christmas presents and watching family and friends play with their new toys as we await the calorie free feast. (Yes I said calorie free---they don't count on Christmas!)

With the help of automatic posting I share with you my Christmas Card. I feel guilty everybody didn't get one in their mailbox. I love getting a tangible card. It makes me feel all warm inside. Unlike e-cards. I hope you will forgive me. And I hope you have a very Merry Christmas filled with peace and joy.

Complete with the every so scrumptious Pumpkin Whoopie Pie recipe that can be cut out and saved in your recipe box.

When I opened my email last Wednesday my jaw about dropped to the floor. I was a winner! I entered a contest with UPrinting. Basically all I had to do was write a testimony. Out of all the wonderful words that were written by fellow bloggers, UPrinting chose me...I still can't believe it. What was the prize, you ask? $100 sent via PayPal! Talk about perfect timing for some Christmas shopping!

Ok so I liked last weeks Carol Hannah inspired stationery so much I've decided to run with it and expand on it to make a set. The Tiffany blue and black and white details has me swooning. And that emblem! I just may be obsessed with it.

Here is #2 in the set. 2 more to come.

What a great design challenge this has become. Totally not where I intended to go with it but sometimes great things happen that way. What do you think, is it superb?
