Artists for Freedom project

Hello Everyone,
Ana Lutetia was really kind to invite me to write a post on her blog, in order to spread the word about the “Artists for Freedom” project.

This project was born with one idea in mind:

To gather artists from all over the world, not matter what media they use to express themselves, around the same subject: Freedom of Speech.

What kick started this project was the situation in Iran and the struggle of those that are demanding on the streets, every single day, their right to choose.

But not exclusively.

Issues, like the proposed “Clean Feed” in Australia, are also on the Radar of the “Artists for Freedom” project.

The thematic is broad but of extreme importance to all of us.

For me, is always a pleasure to blog the creations of hyasynth Tiramisu from ~silentsparrow~. One of the recent releases is the pretty Lottie available in 6 colours with dramatic ballgown skirt (not shown), vintage ankle skirt, bodice, jacket with sculpted sleeves, capelette, 2 different gloves, stockings and shorties.
Kim is the 5th generation of skins from PXL Creations and is available in Natural, SunKissed, LightTan and Tan. The Natural tone has 4 eyebrows colours (red, blonde, brown and black) while the others have 3 (blonde/lightBrown, Brown and Black). There’s also bald and painted hair options with an addon for the painted hair. I went for the Natural tone since it was the one with the red eyebrow option.

I don’t know where Ivey Deschanel from Sn@tch finds the energy but the reality is every time I turn my head she has a new release. These items aren’t the latest but I wanted to show them anyway. Sn@tch store is big, very big, and inside you can find almost everything from outfits, separates, accessories, hair and shoes.
I have been neglecting the gorgeous 42 skins and lately Imandra Wycliffe has been on a creative roll releasing lots of new makeups for her skin line. Each makeup comes in 4 tones with 4 makeups, shape, tintable lips and brows, optional pubic hair and at an extremely inexpensive price. And the mainstore is located in Sn@tch City!
The hair is from Calico Ingmann and two of these styles are only available at the Hair Fair while you can find the other two at the mainstore.

I have also been neglecting my blog and tomorrow will be my last day of work before my vacations. I will be gone for about 10 days with no access whatsoever to anything SL™ related. That’s why I placed a note in my in-world profile saying that I will not be accepting review copies until mid July.

The talent by Ryker Beck from Exodi never ceases to amaze me. She designs skins, eyes, clothing, jewellery and shoes. Ryker also scripts her jewellery with oodles of options. I usually don’t use skins and clothing from the same store in a post but I had to bring your attention to the skins and the great clothing.
Between July 25th and July 3rd, Exodi is having a 50% sale where all the proceeds go to the Make A Wish Foundation in memory of Michael Jackson.
The hair I am wearing is from Goldie Locks by Selena Gateaux which is an old hair store in SL with a regular presence in the Hair Fair every year. Selena has so many styles in the main store that you will spend a whole day trying all the hairs. I really like the hairstyles been released at the Hair Fair this year. Selena has a wide colour selection (with great textures) organized in great colour packs. For the reds, she offers 4 different packs with 4 colours and each tone with a variation.

Australia is banning Second Life®?

Yesterday, in twitter, Tao Takashi posted a link about Australian government banning Second Life®. I couldn’t believe what I was reading and the idea that I had about Australia completely changed. It is so odd to see such a developed country with internet restrictions and censorship. This is the 21st century and we are grown adults!
My country lived in a dictatorship for 50 years. Luckily, I am too young to have lived it but my parents lived it and it wasn’t good. All the news they read were filtered as in censored and as a result my generation has very strong feelings against censorship. Or, at least, people from my age that I know feel strongly against censorship.
Why is it an governmental matter what people do online in the privacy of their homes? Even in a develop country, they must more important issues to deal with than with restricting internet… Seriously, I don’t get it!

Milla Michinaga from MichaMi has released gorgeous bathing suits inSL. I wish I had in my RL the amazing offer of swinwear that I see around the grid because I have been looking for a while for a pretty one and I haven’t found it yet. Aaliyah, Soraya and Yolanda are simply stunning! Classy and sexy! Milla, as usual, releases them with all the layers which is perfect for tattoos or to wear a sheer tunic on top.
Speaking of tattoos, I couldn’t resist the latest from HUZ TATS by Hunain Bellic. His first tattoos were amazing but Henna Secret and Hazard are delightful and versatile as Hunain offers different options in each tattoo.

Hair Fair 2009 | take 6

I know I said that my previous post was my last featuring hairs but I don’t really like odd numbers… The real reason is that I am too tired from not being able to sleep properly and my free time (after work) has been too hectic always running from one place to another. Today I had to rush to go to the public health center of my area to sign up and get a doctors appointment and on the way I was stopped by a traffic accident envolving a bus… I had to drive around it and lost even more time. *sigh* And this guy says my country is an example. Oh well… he doesn’t live here. We have great weather though!
