It's been a while since I entered the blog-world (well, who cares? LOL!)

Well if you'd probably ask why, it's because I got busy. (of course and as usual)

It's almost a month since 35 of us TCC youth leaders went to Nasuli Spring Resort located at Valencia, Bukidnon to join the annual G12 Youth Summit and it was really a blast! A memorable experience. Not to mention that we actually had a hard time at first adjusting to the climate. It was really freezing cold. And the lagoon there? It was totally awesome (and so cold. LOL!) Well, every morning, we would bathe ourselves there enjoying nature and its gift. Of course, we didn't just went there for nothing, we went there to learn how to become effective leaders by what we think, by how we treat ourselves, and of course, by how we treat others- having good manners, unleashing our potentials and stuffs like that.
We even committed ourselves to find our 144 for 14 months. But we never regretted of joining the event. It's one way of waking us up. It's time to arise youth leaders. Wake up from deep sleep and realise that God has implanted a seed in you, a seed that would become a FOREST.

remember this: we have the mind of Christ.

Last Saturday, October 4, 2008, 105 of the prettiest faces in town flooded one of the Beach Resorts in Cagayan de Oro to experience the fun and to create bonds of friendship within their team and so therefore develop themselves as effective leaders. The activity was called, "team-building" also known as "hugoy-hugoy" in Filipino term. The said event lasted for a day and was spearheaded by Janeth Poloyapoy together with the other gorgeous young people acting as facilitators in each designated team. Elements such as the "trust fall" and the "sponge focus" are the highlights of the event and each team is tasked to accomplish these elements (not games) in a limited time. You'll be much surprised to know that these serious type ladies are actually clowns in real life! At the end of the get-together activity, each team then presented their chants/cheers- take note: these cheers are specially made by them. it's 'all original'. LOL.

We need to know that the things of God start small and end in greatness. Solomon expressed this when he wrote: “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18).
Each one of us is like a diamond in the rough that needs to go through a refining process. There are four fundamental stages in the refining process of a diamond that are similar to the way God refines the lives of the people He calls to the ministry.
These four steps consist of:

1. Cutting the Diamond – Brokenness
Every person involved in the ministry is tested in one way or another. God gives each person a small or large ministry according to his or her response to the test. Almost every person in ministry has a great desire to please God in the area that He has entrusted him or her with; but some are tempted to abandon everything when faced with obstacles along the way. This would be a great triumph for the enemy because his desire is to stop everyone who wins souls for Jesus. We need to understand that the Lord allows us to be attacked by the adversary, who confronts us with different kinds of tests, because God uses them to form us.

2. Polishing the Diamond – God’s dealings with the leader
In order for a diamond to have that defined luster on each facet, it requires some polishing. What does the Holy Spirit do in the lives of people? He polishes them. He deals with them until He smoothes out the rough areas of their hearts. He then puts them on display so that they can shine in every facet of their lives, because it is through the circumstances that God shapes our character. Trials form our faith, our perseverance, and our consistency. They help us grow in our trust in the Lord, and teach us to believe in the promises of His Word.

3. Clarity of the Diamond – Keep the purity of the Vision
Some people are satisfied with having only a vague idea of God’s Vision. You cannot be one of them. The first thing that you have to understand is that this Vision is based on the Scriptures. When I talk about the Vision, I am referring to the Government of the Twelve, which is the strategy of the Holy Spirit for this time. It stimulates the growth of the churches, and allows each believer to fulfill the purpose of God throughout the earth. Each pastor and leader who desires to grow in ministry must become an expert of this Vision. You must immerse yourself in it, not allowing anything to confuse, contaminate, or weaken it.

4. Mounting the Stone – Fruit produces honor
Every person involved in the ministry will be honored. They will not only be honored for the length of time they have served, but also for the fruit that he or she bears for God. In the parable of the talents, the Lord did not reward the servant who neglected his talent by burying it in the ground, only to return to it later, finding it still intact. God honors those who multiply.

Allow the Holy Spirit to take your life and polish it, so that the beautiful, precious stone that God has transformed you to be, can shine.

We gather up every Monday evening at 6:00-7:00 and non-stop talk and inspiring messages are being thrown by everyone as we continue to serve and live for God.

Cagayan de Oro: What More Can You Wish For?

Hi. This is your blogger: Karizze. I made this just this morning. I thought of posting this up to help you people out there who might need this one.
Cagayan de Oro City. Formerly known as the Kalambagohan and was then changed into Cagayan de Misamis was first inhabited by native people known to have lived through fishing along what is now called the Cagayan River. This place officially became a city on June 15, 1950and its name was changed to Cagayan de Oro through the efforts of Congressman Emmanuel Pelaez. He added "de Oro" to "Cagayan" in acknowledgment of the gold mining activities in the area known to Spanish explorers.

For just 2 hours of travel via airplane from Manila and 2 days sail via ship, this gateway to Northern Mindanao feasts your eyes with such remarkable sights, eye-catching views and lush green environment. Of course, not to mention the accommodating people meeting you at the airport upon arrival. This city lies at the central coast of this region and to the southern part, the city is bounded by the province of Bukidnon and Lanao Del Norte (also called Iligan City). The Municipality of Opol, Misamis Oriental limits the city on the west and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental to the east. There lays to the north the Macalajar Bay facing the Bohol Sea. Its total land area is 488.86 km² on behalf of 13.9% of the entire province and its coastline runs for 25 kilometers.

Having an average temperature of 28 °C (82 °F), this tropical city is rarely visited by typhoons since it is outside the Pacific Typhoon belt. And in relation to that, a bigger part of the surface of Cagayan de Oro is classified as agricultural land which makes it possible to grow crops and manufacture agricultural businesses.

Next to Davao, Cagayan de Oro is the 2nd biggest in economy making its base in industrial, trade, service and tourism. Among these are the famous companies such as Nestle Philippines, Coca-Cola, and Del Monte Philippines.
And if you’re looking for fun, leisure, and excitement and you don’t want your money to be wasted for just strolling around the city doing nothing, Cagayan de Oro is the place for you. This 7 hectare village has duplications of tribal houses in the region and a panoramic view of Macajalar Bay; and lastly, who would ever forget the well-known Whitewater River rafting and kayaking providing you with a panoramic sight of the river’s rocky walls, untouched vegetation, and the sight of the resting haven of wildlife. It has breathtaking rapids that give the more adventurous with thrills and challenges of rapids.

Organized ANTI-CHRISTIAN VIOLENCE in India

Over 50 Christians killed, multitudes raped and brutally injured and 50,000 displaced

The violent anti-Christian program (organised campaign of persecution or extermination) that flared up on 23 August in Kandhamal district in the north-east Indian state of Orissa has spread to nine districts, indicating a high level of VHP (Hindu World Council) orchestration. More than 50 Christians have been killed and multitudes have been raped, bashed, burned and slashed. Some 50,000 Christians are displaced. Even the relief camps are being attacked but, praise God, two attempts to poison their water supplies have been thwarted. Furthermore, anti-Christian violence is now erupting in other states. Churches have been torched in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka whilst nuns from Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity were violently assaulted in Chhattisgarh. The central government appears paralysed. Please pray for God's intervention.

Was Popeye Wrong?

What would be the first thing that comes into your mind when you hear the name "Popeye the Sailorman?" It would probably be someone who becomes strong just because he eats spinach. Popeye would do extraordinary things such as beating up his rival Bluto with the help of his spinach. Is this really true?

When this cartoon character was made in 1930, spinach was believed to have amazing amount of iron, the mineral that provides strength and endurance. But Dr. Wolfe, a German scientist who determined the value of spinach, made a mistake! People believed that spinach had ten times more iron than it actually does. But in reality, this leafy vegetable contains phytate, a chemcal that prevents iron from entering the bloodstream. So, spinach is actually an iron blocker!

Does this mean that Popeye was wrong of eating spinach?

Not at all... We now know that spinach contains carotenoids, including beta-carotene, a protection from some types of cancer and lutein, for healthy eyes. It also contains querteetin which ensures healthy lung formation in children. Spinach is also rich in vitamin K, etc., which makes it great in boosting one's immune system.

Christ Escapes From Herod's Plot (Matt. 2)

Promise:

God is always faithful to His children if He has saved His only Son from the Hands of Herod why not us? Herod is a depiction of the devil.

God promises us protection in everday life. Whereever we go He's always there to look after us.

Command:

As soon as God wants us to do something we should obey Him especially when it's for our own good. He may or may not send angels to warn us but surely He'll guide and straighten our paths.

Warning: Be obedient! Application: As soon as God wants us to be in His calling we should obey Him no matter how difficult the circumstances are. :D
