I’m still running these days, although not as intense as previous years when I was still competing, its been a long winding road of sports and calisthenic all these years. Even when I was a kid, it just came natural to me to keep on running

Come to think of it, I never really get bored of it or think of it as a chore. Being more mature now, I began pondering over this ‘fixation’ of mine and I keep coming back to the same conclusion

When I put on those trainers and pound the pavement, be it during dusk or dawn, the further away I got, the more joy I derive. In a way I’m turning my back to my own set of problems, running away from it

Everyone has their issues in life. Well I’ve mine obviously and growing up, it has never been easy for me. I’ve always worked harder, tougher and longer than most but always had to settle for less

Being a perfectionist that’s not good obviously and I’m always striving for more … and more, and more. I’m not talking just about material well being, but the whole ‘package’. Ya know, the good life

I admit I have a dysfunctional background and running seems like the obvious choice I reckon. Running I view it as a form of an outlet or means of control. Yes a perfectionist and a control-freak

To run longer and further today means I’ll be able to see the results in weeks when I go for races or competition. Amazing ‘instant’ gratification of sorts … compared to life frustration for which I’ve no control over most of the time

After seeing the video, its pretty scary knowing the future is kinda bleak. The financial bailout is “not a solution” and its repercussion beyond American shores is inevitable.

Hopefully none of my readers here ain’t going to be retrenched in the future if things go bad. I like what the professor said in the video, “Be Your Own Boss”. I am a boss myself, who wanna work with me, ladies between 18-25 may apply only, heh :p

“Shift Work” or I myself affectionately calls it “Shit Work”, well whoever created such work concept, should be shot. Obviously some capitalist bright idea, to make him/her even richer

The thing about shift work, you might not notice it, but in the long run, your health will be adversely affected. I’ve tried working for a shift work session for two weeks and I just couldn’t take it. I immediately quit the job. Thanks but no thanks, but my health is much more important

Yes you get paid more but working long-term shifts at nights or otherwise rather than standard working day, you’re putting your health at a compromise such as …

1. Cluster headaches (Association)
2. Disturbing natural Circadian rhythms (Consequences)
3. Ischaemic heart disease (300% likeliness if you’ve worked more than 15 years on shift)
4. Reduced production of the hormone melatonin might increase the risk of breast cancer (Proposed possible causal factor)
5. Higher rates of cancer (Association)

Still if you insist on working shift, a study suggests that, for those working a night shift (such as 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), it may be advantageous to sleep in the evening (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) rather than the morning (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). The study’s evening sleep subjects had 37% fewer episodes of attentional impairment than the morning sleepers

I was reading couple of blogs and some of the entries have a recurring similarities. Emo-ing online about being dumped or bitching that their ex-significant other is seeing someone behind their back

I pity them of course, and the very question popped into my mind was “What Makes A Person Unfaithful”. Coming from personal experience, I’ve came close to being unfaithful myself, partly as I was curious and mainly flattered being given the attention by other gals *hidung I kembang besar last time tau*

But I believe it all boils down to each own individual. Hear me out

People have affairs and strays because their current relationship ain’t fulfilling for plenty of reasons unknown. It may be sex, love, loneliness, sadness, boredom, attention and even ego

So to say to ‘fall out of love’ with your current beau, you wander and seek out new prospects. It’s a normal reaction IMO but when you’ve come to realize you’re at a point of no-return with this new ‘affair’, its now up to each individual to decide to go ahead with the straying

Some of you might disagree of course, you might think such circumstances are beyond our control but for me you always have a choice. As you mature, you’ll get better with relationship and make more ‘well-informed’ choices; well for most people, some just don’t ‘grow-up’ as I notice

My advice before you have sex or fall in love with someone else, end your existing relationship first or work on it. It will save plenty of heartache, but then again, there will be lesser blogging ‘unfaithful’ entries for me to read online …. hmmmm that’s a toughie :p
