Responsibilities

Partner with our Media team business units to identify, define, and inform on key opportunities surrounding SAY’s network, all based on data mining and data insights

Drive the data mining and development of models to inform strategic KPI improvements as well as other business-critical decisions

Requirements

5+ years experience in business analytics, web analytics, or similar field, ideally with online advertising focus
Proven track record of tackling complex business questions, mining data, and generating business relevant insights that are communicated in a simple to consume and thorough fashion.
Strong analytical abilities, experience with statistics and related analytic methodologies
Substantial experience with Excel including pivot tables, database connections and any manipulation of large data sets. A talent for the visual display of quantitative information is highly desired.
Working knowledge of SQL. Hive and/or Pig a big plus!
Experience with Tableau or other BI software.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and especially presentation. The ability to simplify complex analysis into concrete learning and action steps
Well-organized, with strong attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done
Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Can independently pursue hypotheses to discoveries
Bachelor’s degree in a statistics, social sciences, math, or engineering preferred. MBA a plus.
