Forthcoming UDO Exams

The exam date is on Friday 22nd February - individual time slots are to be confirmed. Those that wish to take the your exam have still yet to pay the exam fee.

The fees deadline for these exams is Thursday 7th February. Please make sure you pay by then as you will not be entered into the examination if you have not paid.

Apologies for this late notice but Nacer's classes will be cancelled this week due to a family emergency which have meant that he's had to travel to France. Nothing to worry about but he won't be available. All other classes are on as normal.

AUDITIONS

The all new North-West Dance Challenge competition is back and taking place at the Empire Theatre on 11th November 2012.

If you would like to take part and join our all new Empire teams then we will see you at the auditions on Friday 30th March:

- Ages 6-12 yrs 5:00-6:00pm

- Ages 13-16 yrs 6:00-7:00pm

- (Over 16s auditions will be discussed in all senior classes)

Each team will be entered into all 3 sections of the competition so you get the best out of the event:

- Street

- Lyrical/contemporary

- Cabaret/musical theatre

Important Note

Successful members must pay a £9 competition entry fee to the event organisers and purchase a minimum of 2 tickets for the event at £16.00 per ticket.

This total of £41.00 must be paid in full at the beginning of the first team rehearsal. These are the event organiser's rules so please only audition if you can meet these criteria. Successful auditionees will also be expected to attend a rehearsal class each week at the usual price of £6.00 per class.

Important Rehearsal Times (Tech Classes)

In order for us to get rehearsals under way for ballet, modern and contemporary, we must now bring all grades involved in each piece together. This means that for the next few weeks your class times will be rearranged to allow for this rehearsal time.

Class times will change from next week (14th Nov) and will run as follows:

MODERN/JAZZ - all students - 4:00-5:30pm

BALLET - all students from Grade 1 upwards - 5:00-6:30pm

CONTEMPORARY - 6:30-8:00pm (please note Seniors will continue until 8:30pm)

TRINITY INTERS - class as usual 7:30-9:00pm (students involved in Contemporary will join the group from 8pm)

POINTE - 9:00-9:30pm as usual

GRADE 5 TAP - 6:30-7:00pm

FIGHTING FIT - 8:00-9:00pm as usual
