can any one help me ind any information about my 4x greatgrandmother, her name was elinor crawford and she was born 1775- 1779 in lanarkshire scotland and marred robert stephenson about 1813 i would like to know where they where married. as robert was born 1849 in snaith yorkshire.i was told he wa a groom or stablehand for elinors family? elinor died in 1847 in snaith. where they lived with there family.i know one daughter died at sea i would like to find out also if her a nd her husband where drowned? there names where eleanor and william hinds they married 12/8/1838 and died at sea 23/2/1843 all i have is hartlepool co. durham. i would be really grateful and appreciate any help anyone can give me .

Would anyone be kind enough to do a 1851 census look up please. i have a subscription to find my past but the 1851 census isnt complete. Hugh Riley/Riley born abt 1828 and his wife is Elizabeth they have 1 daughter mary born Knutsford Cheshire in 1850. In other censuses they are in Macclesfield, Cheshire and Knutsford Cheshire. I have managed to go back to 1738 and hit brick wall...but now come across a family search cenus 1881 and cannot match the family to mine..adresses ,names all run in family..
edward poole burnham bucks aged 49 at 6 red lion row,clewer..which is between maidenhead and windsor.children and parents born in burnham and one child in chalvey which is also adress in tree.

so can anone help me and find out who edwards parents or brothers were etc..as im a bit skint now.

I am having difficulty in locating a possible birth/christening for a Sarah Parsonson/Parsisson in the Armthorpe/Doncaster area. She would have been born sometime between 1785-1794, depending on her age on the different censuses and death certificate. I am trying to locate siblings, but the records for this time period appear not to exist. I know she married Joshua Tyas on 25 December 1811 in Doncaster. Any leads or assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am trying to trace my stepfather's family. Thought I would give him the info as a Christmas present but not having any luck. His father was Frederick Cartwright (born 24 August 1906 died 24 Jan 1976) and his mother was Eveline Cartwright neé Marples born 11 Feb 1907. Her parents were Annie Marples (neé Asquith) and Herbert Marples. Annie had two sisters Ivy born in 1901 and Alice in 1903. I am trying mainly to trace his father's side but have had no luck. This all I presume took place in Yorkshire, Sheffield area. Any help would be appreciated or if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks:)

can i ask, why is it when you look for a army service record on ancestry of a dead soldier, all that comes up is his death and not his service record before he died.

I am trying to track down details of my G/Grand Father John Burke who lived at 2 Denzille Lane, 1915 Dublin. I only found this info through military record of one Joseph Burke KIA at Ypres on 24th May, 1915 aged 18 more details in signature.

Also Margret Dunne or Reid of Kilkenny who married John Burke's son Thomas and lived in Pearce Flats South Dublin. Unfortunately she died of kidney faliure at the young age 34/35 and leaving behind Joseph (my Father ) Gerry, John, Kathleen & Thomas.

Also I am looking for the Birth place of William Garraty's grandfather although I will need to find more info. I think that his name was John and he was been abt 1833 somewhere in Ireland. His son Francis eventually moved to Birmingham where a member of the Family has lived ever since.

Hi anyone help my husband please, we are trying to trace his fathers family tree, his father died when he was 6mnths old and his mum knew nothing about his family if indeed he had any immediate family alive.
His fathers name was Herbert Charles Black born 1934 to William Black and Eva Bailey in Poplar, London, UK where we believe the family came from. William and Eva married in 1930 at the ages of 18 & 16 and Williams fathers name is James Black. What my husband is dying to know is has he got any living relatives from the Black side of the family

I'm not sure whether I've posted about this before, but I'm searching for the death of Llewellyn Perkins b. 1872.

The only death record I can find is taht of the incorrect Llewellyn Perkins in 1934.

Llewellyn appeared on the 1911 census of Canada as he had joined the Royal Canadian Navy. He then 'ran'. I can't find any record of him returning home, but his army service records (pre WW1) have been amended to say he re-enlisted during WW1 and came out in 1920.

His eldest son married in 1931 and father is stated as 'Army Pensioner'.

The next certificate we have is my husband's grandfather's marriage in 1936, and on this Llewellyn is 'General Labourer' (deceased).

I've been through the GRO indexes page by page, but cannot find a death!

Family stories passed down say that he is 'buried in the Rhonda somewhere' and that his wife was 'upset because she had to pay for blanket his body was sent home in'.

Any help would be a appreciated to track this man down!
